My I message is not working, since IOS 8.3 update.

My messages is not working properly, since IOS 8.3 update. Message are left hanging as undelivered. When I tap on "try again" nothing happens. Even messages to known contacts with I phones, appear in green and does not get delivered anyway. I have reset my i phone several times to no avail. I like my I phone 6+ as a camera. All other functions are less than impressive.

  • IChat not working since iOS 5 update

My iChat is not working since the iOS 5 update.  Everytime I go to log in it says: "iChat can not communicate with the AIM account..."  Is anyone else having a problem since the new update was released?

    Hi Chris,
Does it read login.oscar.aol.com in the server Setting tab  ?
(iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts > Server Settings)
    Hi bryanfromcottonwood,
In Previous versions iChat was set up to automatically change the Server Name fro AIM logins when starting or turning Off SSL.  (it tended to look like the leading "s" appeared or disappeared).
IT Changed from login.oscar.aol.com to slogin.oscar.aol.com
There are suggestions that this does not happen now.
It is not known if this is done deliberately for "Security" or an error in the Update file.

  • Message not working since IOS X 10.9.2 update

Message is not sending from my MacBook Pro and no longer is synced with my phone and ipad. The icloud account is incorrect to sync with the other units but on my MAC when I try to sign out, it tells me it will delete all my contacts. Any ideas?

    Hi,
Whilst Tim does have the issue of checking the setting for the iMessages account in the Mac version and on the iPhone  I think you are telling us about this alert
This can be done in System Preferences or as I have done for this Picture grab in Internet Accounts.
You will notice, and it will back Tim up, that there is no setting to enable this ID for the Messages app on the Mac.
If you deselect Contacts then the alert pops up and Asks you to make a decision.
You can keep the Contacts on the Mac or Delete them.
As long as the Apple ID used for iCloud on both iPhone (and other iOS devices) and the Mac is the same then you can sync the Contacts back for the iOS device if you decide to Delete.
    I always choose Keep myself.
    To be clear.
To Sync Contacts the iCloud ID has to be the same all round.
To Display iMessages all round the Apple ID used in Messages as the iMessages ID has to be the same - it does not however have to be the same one as iCloud (or even iTunes or App Store).

  • Texas Holdem - not working since iOS 8?

    Hi,
For years I have been a fan of Apple's Texas Hold'em (think it's version 1.1).
The game starts but none of the settings and scores are remembered.
It worked perfectly until I got an iPhone 6 running iOS 8. (iPhone 4/iOS 7.x)
Every time you start the app it's like you've never played it before.
    - Has anyone seen this behaviour?
    - Any workaround?
    Many thanks!
    DJ

I wish I would've known this before I upgraded the OS.  I, like everyone here loved to crank up my winnings playing the computer when I had a little downtime.  Fun little game that was simple and easy to play.  I had 90M and was working towards cracking 100.
Restoring the app wouldn't work since it doesn't respect the settings any longer.
This was Apple's only game.  It's too bad they couldn't ensure compatibility going forward.

  • CAC not working since 4.0.5 update.

I performed the following updates and have not been able to successfully use my CAC card to access DoD webmail and restricted sites since:
    Java for OS X 10.6 update 1
    Safari 4.0.5
I configured my MacBookPro using the CAC on Mac website http://militarycac.com/apple.htm which had worked great prior to Safari 4.0.4.
Can I revert or can someone help me?

I'm having a similar problem with my CAC card and outlook web access. Mine however, goes a little further into my own OS. First off, my webmail used to work, and now doesn't. I never used to have problems with the keychain, nor did I have to use the ID pref workaround mentioned below.
I've gotten to the point where I cannot even open keychain with my CAC card inserted without getting a beachball of death. 95% of the time it results in keychain locking up an having to be force quit. I can occasionally coax keychain to let me click on the CAC card to see the certificates, but the second I click on one, poof keychain is dead. Interestingly, if I first click on the encrypted email cert, and then highlight the other two, it won't lock up and I can copy them to one of my other keychains. I can't click on either the DOD or DOD-EMAIL certs by themselves tho. Also, if I create an identity preference, the only way to get it to work is to create one based on the encrypted cert, and then edit it and change it to one of the other two. After that the cert, typically, works fine
I'm also using Safari 4.0.5 and performed the Java update, and a subsequent update. I'm trying to pin down when it stopped working and I'm thinking it was late December or early January.
Looking back at my software update history, I installed 10.6.2 and Safari 4.0.4 in November. I recall the card worked until at least early/mid December, so thats not the issue. I installed Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 1 (1.0) in mid December and the 2010-001 Security Update a few days later. The next relevant update was Safari 4.0.5 in mid March, but it was long broken by then. I'm convinced that the problem was the security update as my CAC/OWA login was working just fine in early December.
I can click on my identity preferences, delete them, once in a blue moon after a fresh restart I can even right click on the CAC certificate and create a few new identity preferences.
After tooling around on militarycac.com/apple.htm I noticed a blurb about certain websites reporting an incompatibility. The instructions directed me to use the develop menu (turn the menu on in the advanced tab in safari prefs) to change the reported browser type from Safari to IE. I got https://nrows.sscno.nmci.navy.mil/nrows/ to work, by following the instructions. For sh*ts and grins, I tried webmail with safari reporting as IE and still nothing. It still won't even recognize that it should be asking for a CAC certificate.
Interestingly enough, for the NROWS page, I didn't have to create a new identity preference. I was prompted to select a certificate in safari, in the background I had keychain open and noticed that it automatically created an identity preference. In that vain, I deleted my identity pref for webmail and just tried hitting the link, hoping it would auto create one. It didn't. Interestingly, I get the same 500 internal server error when I have an identity preference for webmail as I do without one. Weird.
The following excerpt doesn't really apply in my case as I'm not using those versions of the card, but might be helpful to someone, so I'll report it here. Excerpted from militarycac.com/apple.htm: +If your new CAC (the one you were just issued) does not work, you may have received one of the new PIV II CAC's. You can tell if yours is this type by looking on the back at the top for either of these: "Gemalto TOP DL GX4 144K" or "Oberthur ID One 128 v5.5 Dual." A possible fix for you is to download the updated TOKEND from MAC OS FORGE.org download the CAC-NG (BETA v0.96)+
+INFORMATION: The Smart Card Services Project Team is pleased to provide access to theBETA for CAC Next Generation (a.k.a. CAC-NG) Tokend support for Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard". Support for Snow Leopard is forth coming, but you can proceed to test with your Mac OS X 10.5.6+ machines with this installation.+
Surprisingly, for https://secure.bol.navy.mil/menu.aspx I simply clicked the CAC login button. I was surprised that I wasn't prompted for a CAC certificate, nor was a prefrence created in keychain, but it worked just fine. That got me clicking on some other websites I haven't been to on my laptop since the problems started and which I used to have ID prefs for. I've listed them below, these are mostly navy sites, one army, and all work fine.
    https://ntmpsweb.ntmps.navy.mil/fltmps/ no preference used/created
    https://npc.navy.mil/ no preference used/created
    https://secure.bol.navy.mil/menu.aspx no preference used/created
    https://wwwa.nko.navy.mil/portal/home?cacLogin=true preexisting preference
    https://infosec.nacy.mil/ no preference used/created
    https://www.us.army.mil/ no preference used/created
    https://nrows.sscno.nmci.navy.mil/nrows id pref auto created
I'm just experiencing some weirdisms with keychain, and a total no-go for webmail... any thoughts? I've tried to give all the info I've found out. Here is some other misc info as per my system.
    Installed/configured/misc troubleshooting:
    - cookies deleted
    - ID prefs deleted and recreated
    - disk verify / permissions fixed
    - Keychain 4.1 (37196)
    - CAC card version Oberthur ID One V5.2a Dual 2050...
    - SCR3310 v2.0 (driver version 2.4.1 http://www.txsystems.com/scmdrivers.php)
    - DOD Root CA 2
    - DOD EMAIL CA-19 (corresponds to the email cert CA-19 on my CAC card)
    - CAC certs installed/copied to login (also tried them with system)
    - CAC certificates recently reinstalled on the CAC card by PSD and the certs/prefs in keychain are updated
    - X509 Anchors installed in keychain (tho it worked fine without as well, this seems to be optional)
Not using parallels, this is strictly in Mac OS X running safari. Permissions have all been repaired and using my root login or my standard one there is no difference. I have five other mac users who I've personally set up their cards/webmail access and all stopped working at about the same time. We're all using various versions of iBooks, MacBooks, MacBook Pros and OS versions from 10.5 thru the latest build of 10.6.3. According to https://infosec.nmci.navy.mil/PKI/appendixa.pdf the reader we're using should be fine.
Something else is going on here. Not sure what tho. Hopefully the info I've posted can help someone knowledgeable shed some light on something.

  • Bluetooth and JBL Flip not pairing since IOS 8.1 update-Please Help

After last IOS update (8.1) for iPhone 5 my JBL flip suddenly stopped pairing with the Bluetooth in my phone. I tried the forget this device to reinstall connection which usually works, but this did not work and I have attempted several times over the past week to no avail. It recognizes device but then will not pair with it, then it disappears from the Bluetooth device menu on my phone. Anyone know of a patch of fix? JBL tech's report it's an APPLE issue. All I know is I'm going nuts not having any music in my office. PLEASE HELP.

For others who have this same problem, before using deggie's solution, which is more drastic since it will force you to lose all pairings and wi-fi passwords, first try this: On the iPhone go to Settings>Bluetooth, then forget your JBL pairing. Then with the JBL Flip, turn it on by hitting the power button once, then put it into pairing mode by holding the power button down until it flashes red and blue alternately. You should see the pairing established on you iPhone. If the iPhone asks for a pairing code (it may not), it is 0000.

  • IMessage not working since 10.10.3 update

    - Beginning two days 04/14 (after I updated to OS X 10.10.3 and iOS 8.3, iMessage stopped syncing with other OS X and iOS devices on the same iCloud account. All on the same network.
    - Continuity and Handoff also do not work on the MBP...(worked great a couple days ago)
    - MBP is on WiFi.
    - I have cycled power, turned on and off wifi, logged out of iCloud, logged out of iMessage (on all devices).
    - I did get notice on the other devices when I turned iCloud back on and wanted my keychain restored.
    - MPB is also updated to 10.10.3 and no issues. All features work.
    - iPhone and iPad are at iOS 8.3 (12F69)
Also, when attempting to send to known iMessage account holders I was not getting the blue, rather the red highlight on the names and the "not registered with iMessage" notice.
I am constantly being asked to login to iCloud

On the iPhone in Settings > Messages > Send and Receive
my iPhone Number is ticked/checked and greyed out. None of my other iMessage emails are listed, though. So when I tap "Use your Apple ID for iMessage" on this same screen, input my password, it acts like it's signing in, then stops whirling and it goes back to the same screen, as if it's waiting for me to sign in again. My password has been reset multiple times and it works when signing into my iCloud account at iCloud.com. So it's not the password. Also, in my iCloud account it confirms that all of my devices are
The same process occurs when trying to sign in to iMessage on my iPad. No go -- just returns the screen that prompts me to sign in.
When trying to sign in to iMessage on my MacBook Pro, I get the error message: "Could not sign in to iMessage. An error occurred during activation. Try again."
This is the same error message now for the past five days. Apple iMessage is NOT working!!
Also: in my iCloud account (settings screen), it confirms that all of my devices are properly signed in to iCloud.
Anybody out there getting this error message? ***!!

  • Exchange email will not work after IOS 5.1 update. Anyone else having same problem. Its been three days now I cannot get mail.

Exchange Email not working on Iphone 4S is anyone else having the same problem and is there a fix for this?

    @ w3nitro
I'm having the same issues, except only one of my Exchange accounts took a dive after upgrading to iOS 5.1.  My Gmail account (set up as Exchange) works flawlessly but my native Exchange account (work e-mail) stopped working after the update.
Post update to 5.1:  (work Exchange account) I could view my inbox and view individuals emails in the inbox, but I was unable to send any emails.  Mail started asking for my password after the update (for the affected Exchange account) but once entered, it failed to verify.
I completley removed the Exchange account and rentered all the account settings but again, failure to verify any information.  I was hoping my password might have changed but it did not.  Also, maybe the IT guy at the office (not very bright) changed some settings but the only difference is the new iOS update.
And while playing with the iPhone trying to make it work again, I noticed something really weird.  Old emails (2-3 weeks) from multiple email accounts to include the inop Exchange account started showing up again on the pull down notification menu.  I would clear these out of the notificaion menu but they always kept reapearing; very strange.

  • My adobe flashplayer latest version will not work since firefox 7.0 update

I know there is a problem with this because I have already seen it many times on the internet. Not happy that I can no longer watch any videos since the update. I have downloaded the latest version of adobe. I can see the"flash player" under my control panel but it is not listed in my plugins under the tools/add-ons.
I also followed the procedure shown on mozilla support to download the add on manager but it did not work either. It does also state on the mozilla website that they are quite aware that this has caused a problem for many. When is this going to be corrected?
So, I finally went back to Firefox version 3.6 just so I could still see my videos.

Hello, first update Firefox to v17.0.1 (or in the next days v18) please.
Are your drivers and DirectX up to date (very important) ?
Do you have tried to disable Flash Player Protected Mode (since v11.3) ? (that could explain why it is working with Flash Player v11.2)
Do you have tried to disable Hardware Acceleration (Flash Player or/and Firefox) ?
Do you have tried to disable all other extensions and plugins in Firefox ?
Do you have tried to use the Firefox safe mode ?
Do you have tried to disable your antivirus / firewall programm ?
