My I-pad keeps losing apps, especially Facebook. I've double clicked home

My I-Pad keeps shutting down apps, especially Facebook. I've double clicked the home key & closed all open apps & have also tried rebooting a few times. Neither thing has helped. I also am using the most recent download. Any other things I can try?

All you have to do is double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view, then swipe up on the screenshot of the app you want to exit.

    See if this fixes things.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • After upgrading ipad to iOS 7.1 I can no longer close open apps by double clicking home button. Any other way to close open apps?

After upgrading ipad to iOS 7.1 I can no longer close open apps by double clicking home button.  Any ideas

Double-tap on the Home button. You will see a preview of the app above the actual icon. Slide the preview up to kill it.

  • When I double click Home button, all of my apps don't show in the bar -- only the four that reside there. Did a reset last night to fix the Home button (it sort of works now) but now this. Any ideas on why I can't do the fast app switch now?

When I double click Home button to change apps quickly, only the four apps that reside on the task bar show. All of my apps would show prior to my reset of the iPad last night (to fix the Home button). Any ideas on how to fix?

My undertanding is that when you double-click the home button, the apps that are shown are those that are currently active.  The reason you are not seeing all of them is that not all of them are active.  Before you can access an app in the multitask bar, it has to be turned on first.  As a test, try accessing the Notes application.  Return to the home screen by clicking the Home button ONCE.  Once the home screen appears, double click the home button to bring up the multitasking bar.  The Notes app should be on the far left.

  • Automator app won't run from double-click

automator app won't run from double-click in finder or from alert from ical. Will only run if I open in automator editor.
I found a solution on my own. I opened activity monitor and all the automator apps that I run daily were hanging up and the auromator launch was hanging up. I force quit them from the activity monitor. Now it works again.

I might have gotten there eventually on my own, but I suspect finding your post saved me a lot of work. Thanks for posting your solution.

  • While using my iPhone the system behavior changed where I now have to click on the app to select it, then double click to launch it. Same goes for entering in my password to access the phone and entering digits to make a phone. I am also having trouble

While using my iPhone the system behavior changed where I now have to click on the app to select it, then double click to launch it. Same goes for entering in my password to access the phone and entering digits to make a phone. I am also having trouble swiping the screen to move to the next page. This is no longer working. I did not change any settings, the phone just started behaving this way. Any ideas on how to revert back to the single click selection/launch? Any assistant is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Edge has very clear restrictions, one being that you must have 6 months of clean payment history which you don't. Either wait until April 14, or good luck at Sprint.
I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions.

how do I now close apps the old way of double clicking Siri button and touching the app no longer works

There isn't currently a way to edit or control which apps appear in the 'open in' list apart from deleting (or deleting and reinstalling) apps - you could try leaving feedback and maybe in the future we'll have some sort of control : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

    Hey there 111brownyn
Go to Settings>General>Accessability>Assistive touch(in the bottom)
and switch the toggle on. You'll find now a smaal square around your screen.
Touch it aand perform the double click gesture with the virtual home button on the screen.
I think your Home button has been damaged.
Do let me know if it worked

  • Double-click home button -- Am I really multitasking 50 apps?

I looked in the 200+ page iOS 4.1 manual on the Apple site. Sorry if I am overlooking something.
On multitasking, I understand that if one pushes the home button twice one sees the applications that are multitasking. Two questions:
    1. When I do that, I see like 50 apps -- it seems more a "history." I didn't want to multitask them. I just closed them. Why are they there?
    2. Are each of the 50 multitasking apps really consuming resources in background? Is it necessary to constantly go in and delete (turn off and thus remove from the multitasking screen) the multitasking apps to free up resources?
Thank you for considering my question. Sorry in advance if I am not clear on the concept.

    Hi,
That task bar shows recently used apps. Very few actually run anything in the background. There are only a few services that can run when an app is not displayed. The iOS4 compatible apps can suspend and live in RAM until that RAM is needed. SOme will run location services or audio or in the case of Skype VoIP services.
The system is not keeping all those apps running. If you go to an app there or in it's home screen location they will start the same.
    It's just a list

  • Why the photo app is not closing after i finish, when i take a picture accessing directly from home screen. the location is draining my battery if I'm not closing the app by double click home button. in iOS 6 was not like this

When im taking a picture directly from home screen after im finished the application remain open. This app is ussing the location and if im not closing like other applications by doble click the home button the batery will finished fast. On the other IOS 5 and 6 was not neccesary to unblock the phone and bouble click the home bottom.

After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list.  Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. I also have the dreaded battery drain.

I have searched the settings and I have not found a Home button
