My I Pad tells me the server quit responding after it upgraded

what do I need to do to get my server to respond to my I Pad?
After it updated on its own, my computer gives me this message:  The server quit responding.

Try the following:
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
3. Reset iPad; hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo

  • After update, Excel won`t wait for the server to respond, after clicking an Hyperlink

    Hello,
I`m having a list of locations on a column and a list of their IP on the other column. I`m using it for checking the conection(I`m clicking on the Hyperlink (eg www.example.com) and if the browser opens a new window with that particular link(www.example.com)
then the connection is ok, if it hangs in Excel, the connection is unavailable and I press Esc and proceed in checking.
I have updated Windows 7 and Office 2010 and now if I'm clicking an hyperlink it directly opens an instance of the web browser with the location pointed by the hyperlink, therefore I cannot check those connection in a simple manner.
Also, I have been checking the forums for this issue, found a solution with ForceShellExecution, but it doesn`t seem to work.
    Please provide assistance :)
    Best regards,
    Mihai

    Hi,
Based on my tested (Windows 7 & Office 2010), the issue is related to the hyperlink itself. Do you using the same hyperlink test with Excel 2010 and earlier Excel?
Please see the image that in Excel, it will check the hyperlink/
If you use IE as default browser, please check the IE setting:
Open IE>Tools>Internet Options>Connections>Lan settings>Make sure only "Automatically detect settings" is ticked
Then, if the issue still exists, please try to upload a sample file through OneDrive, I want to test it.

I need some advice about the macbook pro and iPhone 5.
I took a video on my iPhone and tried to email it it said it was too big to send? So i downloaded it to my macbook pro and tried to mail it to no avail? The macbook tells me the server won't let it through other mail goes through any ideas how to resize it or what it might take to send it?

I agree with LowLister, the best option for you to share the video online is to upload it to your online storage account for example : Box, Dropbox, SkyDrive (All of them provide free storage beginning from 2GB).
You can upload the files which you want to share in this online storage and then they have sharing options in which you'll will get the link of the file to be sent and send the email. You're good to go!
Tip : You can store multiple files for backup purposes.

  • Safari could not open page because the server stopped responding

"Could Not Open Page.... Safari could not open page because the server stopped responding"
....but it could worked just fine for the first 2 weeks of iPhone4 ownership.
WiFi network at home, working fine with MacBook, visiting friends' phones, my new iPhone4 - no problems. Had to power down the modem & router very briefly last night. Rebooted, MacBook connected fine, iPhone doesn't - it goes through the motions - shows all signs of full connection, full signal, password accepted etc etc - but web pages will not open, displaying after 30 secs the warning message above.
Tried at work on another wireless network - same response.
Have gone through all the FAQs, reset network settings, forgotten network etc - still nothing.
Anyone experienced the same and fixed it?
    cheers

I'm having a very similar problem, but it's with my 3G connection, not with wifi. The display tells me there is 3G connectivity, and I get the loading symbol, but pages stop loading a few seconds after I try to open them, and some time later I get the "server stopped responding" message. That happens with addresses I know are working, such as Google. Some times, restarting the iPhone or the internet connection (by switching plane mode on and off) solves the issue, but it has been happening often these days.

  • Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding error.

This has only begun to happen after the ios5 upgrade.
    Steps to recreate the issue:
    In safari enter URL https://portal.keane.com
Safari waits a while and returns the error "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding error."
I see this behavior both on my iPhone and iPad after the iOS 5 upgrade.
Try it with any browser in your Mac or PC and this does not happen.
This didn't happen in the earlier versions of ios either, in either device.

I just tried it from a pad on ios 5 and it worked.  It took a real long tome and i assumed it had tomed out, but it finally came up to a log in screen for keane something.  I note this is a secure server (https).  So it is not a safari problem. It may bebthat their secure server can only handle so many requests at one time?   Try again, and give it time.

"Safari could not open page because the server stopped responding"
I already reset the iphone to its factory settings and erase all contents but still the browsing speed freezes or not searching at all. Sometimes it will work and fast but then the problem uccors every now and then. Iv'e been using iphone 4 for two years and I still have it and works fine compared to this IPHONE 4S.

Settings → scroll down to Safari → in Safari settings, I selected both Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.
IF that does not work -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Finally - if problem still present -
    Go to Settings>General>Reset
Reset the network settings - you will need to add the password of your home WiFi in your phone once more
The device should turn itself off & back on then go into Settings>Wifi and join your network

My iPad2 will not connect to the internet, "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding".  I've run the AirPort utility and it shows that I'm connected to my Wi-Fi.  The connection works with both my iMac and iPhone.  I'm concerned that the problem is with hardware rather than software.

    1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again

There is nothing wrong with either the u0pdate server or the process, It is working for millions of people.
However some people have issues caused by firewalls and other security software that they have installed to "protect their privacy" yet others have add-ons that cause the process to fail. The question is which is you.

    Marc-
The Safari message is probably telling the truth.  Is the problem repeatable at several websites, or is it only with a particular one?  If all websites, you may have trouble with your internet connection downloading large amounts of data.  Mail messages are relatively small unless there are attachments or embedded images.
