Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down (approximately 10 seconds) until you see the Apple logo.

When you say "dock," is that the USB cable it came with? I'm asking, because it just has a headphones plug connector, not a "dock" (like the 2nd gen shuffle).
As a test, shut down (power off) your computer and disconnect all USB devices including hub, except for standard keyboard and mouse, if normally used. Do this to reset the shuffle

YOUR IPAD IS IN RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY. -

Dictation was working this morning...and now not working..the microphone looks like its working but won't type????
There is currently a suggested fix going around on the form so you can try this.
Go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. Then go to Settings>General>Keyboard>Dictation>Off. You will have to then turn dictation on again and it takes a minute or so to reset the action with the Apple servers.

Do other devices successfully connect to the router?
Does the iPod successfully connect to other networks/routers?
Does the iPod show wifi bands in the upper left?
Try:
- Resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Powering off and then back on the router
- Resetting networksettings: Settings>General>Reset>Reet Network Setting

I was updating the software on my iphone4. I got a message saying that it could not update. Now my iphone will not reboot. It only shows a pic to connect to itunes, but nothing is happening when i connect it. How do I fix this?
If you're not a developer then you really should not have upgraded.
I'm unsure how you can fix this as you have already done a back-up on iOS 7 and apple don't support firmware downgrades. -
I am trying to INSTALL the free trials of AI and PS when I click on the link to install it goes to another page says installing but nothing is happening. I have the FREE TRIAL Creative Cloud Membership.

Please try the following steps assuming its a MAC:
1) Open Activity monitor and Force quit Adobe CEF Helper, Creative cloud, Adobe IPC Broker & Crash Deamon if available.
2) Try to open, if doesn't work then go to Applications>> Adobe Creative cloud>> Right click>> Get Info>> Click on the Add sign>> Select the user you are logged in>> Give Read and write access.
3) If that doesn't work then enable the root user and launch to update there, check this link on how to enable/sign in to root user Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset
If it is the gmail app you are using, you might also try deleting and reinstalling it. If you are using the built in iOS mail app, you can try deleting and re-adding the gmail account. -
When my Nano is connected to my computer, it shows that I have music downloaded to it, but when i touch the screen to play the music, it is not showing up and is not available to play. I've tried reloading it with no success
iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

Reinstall the drivers from the HP Website and Recovery Manager.
Reset the options to factory default in the HP Touch screen Config.
If it doesn't work, either touch screen failure or software failure.
Perform a System Recovery, if it works after, it's a software problem.
Still doesn't work, hardware problem, contact HP.
I have more HP devices than you'd expect.
1 HP TouchPad 32 GB with Android
2 HP Touchsmarts (310-1000z and IQ527)
2 HP Printers (J6480 and J5750)
1 Laptop (HP DV6253CL)
Have at least some experience in each of those devices, and i'll do my best to help you.

Yes, water and electronics do not mix. Water damage can get worse with time.
You should've left it to fully dry out in a bag of rice for a few days, and hope that the water hasn't corroded any of the electronics inside. -
Airport worked this morning, but it's dead now
Hi, please help. I have a new MBP, about 1 month old. It's been great but today it no longer connects to my preferred wireless network. I check all my settings and nothing has changed, I put the MBP to sleep when I went to work this morning, and now there is no signal according to the Air Port. I can use my Ethernet to connect to the internet, but love my wireless network...Hey -- this sounds IDENTICAL to problem. (I also put it to sleep and came back and then unable to connect). I press the power button + the laptop turns on but nothing else happens. The screen also turns on but it's blank.
I have now the same problem with 2 bords of this.
I've a friend with one, that we turn it on an all systems seems to work but the screen don't turs on and the d-led ligts turns reed. After that i take off al cards and trie to starts and the problem as still the same. Acording to D-led lights, this means a processor's fail. I take off the the processor to my board and it start's normaly, i've worked whith that all night without any problem. After that i change my board with the other, put all cards, and when i starts,... the problem perssists. (sorry my english). I putt the other board in my case, with my cards, and turn the system on, and was doing the same. I take off the 2 bords, putted them in a tabel, just with prossessor's, AGP Card, one DDR, my disk and clear CMOS, and when i start's all 2 continuos with the same problem, ?( i take off the AGP Cards, and the 4 ledds turn reed again and the problem was the samne. Now i ask, WHAT THE HELL CAN I DO, did i broke my board too, who can i fix this. I can´t change the bios version they don't start. The first was running well, until my friend chenge to a Termaltake Volcano cooler, after that, start´s with this problem. My board was working fine until i change to is case. What i can possíbel have done wrong????? ;( ;( ;(

Since you cannot touch the screen you may have to try to access the phone from adb. If you are comfortable with this you can access it by adb with these instructions/guidelines [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox_OS/Developer_phone_guide/ZTE_OPEN_C].
You can also reset the phone from the boot menu. Turn off the phone. Then hold the power button and volume up button at the same time. This menu will give you the option to wipe/data and reset. WARNING: THIS WILL LOOSE ALL DATA ON THE PHONE.
IT MAY BE BETTER to try to access the update menu from the comebuy tool mentioned in the documentation link above.
