Yes, it is entirely possible.
Although in most countries Apple offers an out of warranty replacement for a nominal fee. In the US it is $199 for the 4S and $149 for older generations of the iPhone. Depending on where you are, that may be an option.

Probably not, since user-caused damage isn't covered by the warranty. But you can take the iPhone to an Apple Store and see if there's anything they can do for you. A phone company store will not service your iPhone at all, to the best of my knowledge.

Up to you whether you want to get it serviced. If you don't, I'd suggest putting on a screen protector to help hold the screen together and try to prevent further damage. It's likely that it will eventually fail at some point, but you could get lucky and have it continue to work for quite some time.
If you decide you want to get it serviced, Apple does not repair iPads, but will replace the entire iPad for a flat fee. If you have AppleCare+ on the iPad, the cost will be relatively minimal; $49 in the US. Otherwise, see the Service Pricing section here:

There are independent iPad repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipad repair". You can also look for parts and instructions and do the repair yourself. Probably safe to assume if you can no longer turn it on, you probably have hardware damage. Take it in to an Apple store or Authorized Service center to have it checked out, but the warranty will not covver this.

This happened to me. I determined that my keyboard was paired with some other device (iPad or iPhone). I had to find the device which was paired with the keyboard, unpair it from that device, and then the new device that I wanted to pair it with could discover the keyboard. Bluetooth devices already paired with something cannot be discovered. There needs to be a better way.

Try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that film and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
