My I-phone as been stolen and I cloud doesn't let me find it. I s there a very good internet guro a fantastic hacker that can help me locate it? Someone that knows better then me how to do it?

I don't think version 8 can be updated for free. You would need to purchase iPhoto from the App Store.
If you don't need Yosemite, revert to your previous OS.
The rumor sites seem to think the new Photos, which replaces iPhoto, will be part of the OS. So, you can wait until that is released and upgrade then.

You do have a backup made prior to installing Yosemite?

    Did you have Find My iPhone enabled on it ? If you did then you could try locating it either via http://icloud.com on a computer or Find My iPhone on another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or Find My iPhone disabled on it.
    Have you reported the theft ? You should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.
    In terms of your data have you been backing it up, either to the cloud or to your computer's iTunes ? If you have then you can restore that backup onto a new iPhone.

    If you haven't been backing up then you won't be able to restore your content

    Often when plugging a device into a computer (which has not been discussed if this has ever happened) one will be given the auto play option of transferring photos/data from the mobile device to the computer. Did you ever transfer the photos from your device to a computer?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
    Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
    If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can)

    Do you have Find My iPhone turned on in iCloud on them? If so:

    It's a bit too late for that. You needed to do that before it was stolen.

    You will only be able to track your iPad if you have find my iPhone active and the iPad is connected to a network.

    You can only restore the backup to another iOS device.  You can't download it to your computer.  Also be aware that Apple reserves the right to delete iCloud backups after 180 days of inactivity so make sure you do this before that.  Also, you can't restore camera roll photos from a backup to an iPad.  They would have to be restored to another iPhone, or iPod touch.

    You must switch on the lost mode on the app " Find my iPhone ".
    If you can see it on the map of this app, you will know where is your iPhone in that moment.
    REMEMBER: you can see your iPhone on the map of  " Find my iPhone"  only if it is online. Indeed you can't see your iPhone if it's offlined or switched of.
