My i-pod is goin crazy

Help!
Ive had my ipod 3rd generation for about 3 years now and it has been working fine up intil now. It keeps cutting on and running the battery on, even if I turn it off. I have tried turning it off and putting it on hold, which used to work in the past. However now it still turns on by itself eveb when I turn it off completely and put it on hold. Any ideas / suggestions as to how to keep it turned off would be great thanks

I'm having the exact same problem with my iPod touch. Depending on whether you have waranty on your iPod, you could exchange it for a new one. Otherwise, I'm not quite sure. Sorry I couldnt help, just wanted to put out there that there is more than one person with this problem that also wants help.

I dont think iv dun ne thing different to my ipod. My I-Pod, It's Crazy...HELP!!!

I have no idea what to do. My I-Pod is acting so weird, this is what it dose...
- it somtimes connects to computer, but when it dose it just shuts back off...
- when i get done chargeing it the charge icon is still visable inside the icon thats shows how much battery life you have. which means i never know when its time to charge it back up...
- when i turn it off it turns back on with the chargeing sign showing up on the screen, yes i have tried locking it after i turn it off but that dosen't work...
- multiple icons show up on it such as the...
- sad icon.
- very low battery icon.
(And its so annoying because i have restored it to factory settings, and i have charged it for long periods time.)
- the battery also last for like 10 mins, after ive charged for like an 2 hrs...
- it also dosent charge in my wall charger anymore, but it used to...
this is ridiculous i haven't dropped it, i haven't got it wet, but im thinkin it might have a virus or somthing, if thats possible.
HELP ME PLEASE!!! i really don't feel like paying $31.00
for shipping fees. (But it looks like i might have too.)

i used to have that problem too. the solution is to make a call to repaint( ) and doLayout( ) after u have added all the components and then call setVisible(true).

Philips mp3 go gear raga wont convert drm protected old purchased songs, goin crazy please help!

as the long title states, my old (waaaay old purchased songs) tunes wont convert from the drm protected state to get into my new mp3 player. My new purchases synch no problem.
I have downloaded drivers,updates, addons etc from phillips with no luck.
The apple itunes site is confusing as **** for support questions.

I did indeed find the Itunes plus feature and when I clicked that it brought up an option to purchase drm free versions of an entire album of movie sound track songs that my ex had bought 6 years ago but I had no option to purchase drm free versions of the single track purchases that I had made years ago.
So instead of a bunch of great Pere Ubu, Suicide, and Killing joke tracks I wound up with drm free versions of Loyd Weber tracks.... I purchased the darn movie album hoping that maybe it would somehow apply to all my old songs but it did not.
My guess is that perhaps old songs purchased individually are not eligible for the plus service?
All I know is that now when I click on the itunes plus option it says I have no eligible Itunes plus songs available. Key word being eligible Im guessing, so 40 songs sit unusable.
I am going to hit up their customer service email thingee but I dont see having a happy ending.

I'm encountering some funny stuff with performance tuning issues.. i'm working on a huge db (around 1800tables), and while watching the trace session, it seems that one of the well written queries is performing a full table scan while it should have took advantage of the index. Anyway, adding the hint didn't work until i deleted the index statistics. deleting and reanalyzing the table didn't work until i preformed "analyze table XYZ compute statistics for table".
Any clue why the optimizer if misbehaving?

Problem with FLASH...Please help me...I'm goin CRAZY

Ok...so here's the scoop. I was attempting to update the latest version of flash. Well it downloaded it and attempted to install it and it started to install BUT with four items remaining it pretty much froze...it said searching hard drive. I let it go for a while to see if it would eventually finalize...nope. And now...GET THIS...everything flash related on the internet won't come up. And every page that has a flash banner sends me a message to get flash. Well I would if I could! COME ON! And I downloaded the right version...the power PC.

OK...Check, check...did all that. I am cutting and pasting a segment from the flash troubleshooting page because its exactly what is happening to me. There were no responses to help this person.
"I've tried installing flash player 9 but am not able to do so. It will begin installing but when it gets to 'items remaining: 4' the progress bar continues to move and underneath says searching but nothing happens. I tried leaving it on all night but same thing when I came back in the morning. When I close the installer it then says 'stopping now may result in an incomplete set of software' Also, when I tried uninstalling previous versions, the uninstaller does nothing. It says 'items uninstalled: 0' and 'processing', but same thing, the thing spins but nothing happens. i tried the other steps given to see if that helped but nothing seems to work."

I tried some of the suggestions above the last two posts. But it looks like my problem is the same as those.
I even tried to post on there but from what I see it looks like I have to have flash to do it...I get the page with the blue lego brick.
I'm pulling my hair out. I didn't realize how much of the internet ran on flash.

How can I view a pdf file without downloading it? It seems I can't get rid of the download option. Is it possible to do this without downloading the pdf and then viewing it?

I would like to open up a pdf file in adobe acrobat or adobe reader directly from an attachment or web page, but don't want to download it to my computer. Can I do that?

ok all my videos are i the right format. i put em in a playlist and had itunes set up to add that playlist to ipod when i sync. but whenever i hook it up i ge tthis err saying my ipod cant support this file or some junk like that. but i have an ipod that can support it. its a 30G ipod with video. can anyone help me fix this since it was a christmas present and it would be nice to make it work. and yes i followed that video tutorial. i did exactly as it did and they still wont go on. im goin crazy now cuz i have 31 videos that take up 4G and i want em on my ipod.

Network G3 8.6 with Snow Leopard

I am trying to network my G3 running 8.6 operating system, blue box, with my brand new iMac running Snow Leopard. Stumped the on-line apple help - they couldn't figure out how to help me so threw me to you all. Goin' crazy. Did all the stuff I was supposed to do - allowed the file sharing, hooked up to same router and shows IP address, hard wired on ethernet (as all other machines are, and they have worked beautifully forever), everything that allows my other two machines (Panther and Leopard) to work but can't get any of the machines to recognize my beautiful but ancient G3.... Any ideas? Thanks so much!

Those two boxes running those two Mac OSes are not compatible, and cannot share files as they stand. AppleShare File Sharing was eliminated in 10.4, and 8.6 is not capable of IP File Sharing without upgrades.
If you move your older Mac up to OS 9, or add the (about US$30) utility "Shareway IP", you can do file sharing using IP in 8.6.
Sharing to the machine running 10.3 (but not 10.4, 10.5 or 10.6) should be possible, provided you start at the older Mac and mount the 10.3 Mac's drive on the 8.6 Mac's desktop.

N97 Touch Screen

I have an N97 and every day now the screen will stop responing to touch input. I think this is a hardware issue as i have always updated the firmware as soon as its released and I have the same problem no matter the firmware.
Resetting and turning off/on again doesnt solve it. Just have to lock the screen and rub my thumb over the entire screen and it seems to start working again.
Could part of the touch screen be getting stuck down?
Any body else have the same problem?
its my first nokia after having 10 years of sony ericsson's. can i get replacement touch screens anywhere?

i have a similar problem. like you i check the software update regularly, but still my touchscreen wont repond much when i turn it off and back on it will work for about 5 minutes then do the same.and the lock doesnt stay locked and then my touchscreen starts goin crazy and start playing a song throught the media player whilst in my pocket, but recently ive been having trouble with the memory issue. it says i have now phone memory just mass memory. so i can hav a max of 15 sms before it says its full and ive tried deleting apps and went to file management and move everything from phone memory to mass memory and still wont work!!!

Until yesterday i was working quitley on editing a video of 2 hours; this morning i didn't open anything, even a new project, i open the home of pre and load the project but after the screen remains blank, even if i load a new project. I updated the video card driver (intel hd graphics), i download quick time i had already downloaded, unistalled and re-install the program several times but nothing. I have windoes vista intel core i3, 2 gb of ram. Please help me, yesterday was fine, today i don't know what happens, i'm goin crazy. Thanks a lot I wait for responce, exume for english.

When someting works one day, but not the next, then something has changed. Finding out what the change is, can be tough.
Most people have their OS set to update automatically, and they are unaware that an OS update, or hot-fix has been applied. That can change things drastically, and especially with regards to things like audio and video drivers.
Having an Intel, embedded graphics chip, will limit you on the drivers, as they make good chips, but seem to ignore writing drivers to support those.
Since things did work, just a day, or so, ago, I would first do a System Restore Point for now. Do this manually. Then, I would reboot to Safe Mode, and choose an earlier System Restore Point. You will be required to reboot. Test things with that earlier system configuration. Please report if things work, as they recently did. Now, if they do, you have at least tracked down a time frame, when something changed. Finding out what it was, is still a task.

SWF Files open in OS X but won't open in Windows

Hey everyone. I'm a bit of a novice to Flash so please play
nice. Anyway, I have a .swf file that I created in Flash CS4 and it
plays great in OS X. It's actually a video controlled by a media
controller (my publish setting are for player 8.0). When I boot to
Windows XP and try to open the file using several different stand
alone players (8,9,10) I only see a white background and no movie.
Does anyone have a suggestion for me? I'm goin' crazy.

i was just wonderin if the 5g has an alarm because i remeber wen i first got it, it had one.
but now i cant find the alarm option on my ipod..

What happens is if you choose the Alarm sound to be "Beep", the iPod will beep from its internal beeper/speaker. Very unfortunately, in only beeps for about 2 seconds and then goes off. That is entirely not acceptable because a 2 second beep is not going to get most people up from bed. In the next firmware update, I hope Apple enables a longer beep. Not all of us have speakers connected to the iPod when we sleep. I sometimes have my earphones on and then fall asleep. And of course, in the morning, the earphones are nowhere near my ears.

I CHECKED ONE THE MSI WEBSITE AND APPARENTLY, THE DEFAULT FSB VALUE IS SET TO 133 (266) AND IT HAS TO BE CHANGED TO FIT THE CPU U HAV BOUGHT IN THIS CASE I HAVE TO CHANGE MINE TO 200 AS I HAVE A 400MHZ FSB CPU BUT THE PROBLEM IS, IF I CANT SEE ANYTHING ON THE MONITOR, HOW THE HELL AM I MEANT TO CHANGE THE DAMN THING, ALSO DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE GRAPHICS CARD I HAVE BOUGHT IS COMPATIBLE WITH THIS BOARD?

two things:
one, if it doesnt turn on at all, check your psu rails. if you overload one, then the system won't boot and in some cases wont even turn on. also, check your connections to your case. metal screws can ground components that shouldnt be grounded and cause problems.
second, i know this sounds stupid, but make sure you have your vid card inserted all the way. once, i didnt push hard enough and not all the contacts were connected. it would turn on and just idle with a blank screen, heh. use a little force and make sure that thing is in tight.

and as for the FSB, your board boots with the lowest setting as default, so you dont burn things up if you use a wire trick or something (hehe). so, your 3000+ is able to handle the 100 fsb default until you set it correctly.
