my i pod will download the music video on it but there is no sound but when i bought a video from i tunes it works it just wont work when i put my own videos on it what do i do?

T42 keyboard not working right, HELP PLEASE

It's the Quick Selection Tool in Photoshop Elements 9 and I'm trying to get the background and make it another layer so I can even out the color of the background then bring down the transparency. Not sure if that makes sense. I'm new to this.... Sometimes the area it will grab can go ...not fast.. but not slow. Sometimes it's like it's just messed up and literally takes 30 seconds to process each move. I rebooted my computer and re opened it and it helped a little. It's not clear what causes it when it messes up and when it doesn't. Just frustrating. It's probably user error because I'm so new at Photoshop. Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.

I Pod Shuffle not working right...inquiry??

I have a I Pod shuffle 2nd generation. I went to sync more music on to it and it when I auto filled it does not work and I have done the diagnostics. I get this message from I Tunes. I cannot add any songs to my I Pod because no songs will copy to this my I Pod? I have done the diagnostics and here are the results. Any help here? thanks.

Logic Pro not working right: HELP!!!!!!!

Logic Pro is no longer sending audio signals to the mixer. The Output display is no longer available in the Mixer. Do I need to do a major reinstall of Logic from scratch?
This was not my initial problem, but developed as I tried to "fix" a different one. The following is a history of what I did with ensuing problems noted.
1) My external keyboard (Roland U-20) was no longer available in the arrange options when I created a track. (initial problem)
2) I went into the Environment and discovered it was no longer in that window.
3) I went to Audio Midi Setup and noticed it was there.
4. I imported an older environment set up. It looked OK so I then also imported this into my Empty Project Template, saved it, and went back to the initial project.
5. When I tried to play a sound from the Roland, it was not coming out the right speaker, although the correct "instrument" was there. The sound on the left speaker was very distorted.
6. I went into the UNDO section and went back. The arrange window looked like a mess with many crossed out outputs in the tracks, instead of the names of the original tracks. The environment window no longer had the Roland.
7. When opening my original piece, I then noticed that the mouse editing control buttons on the top right were altered -- instead of 3 buttons, there are now only 2. I reopened the empty Project and found the same.
8. I deleted my empty Project template.
9. In the original project, I noticed that the mixer's output buttons are no longer available. No sound at all coming out of Logic to my Firewire.
10. I opened a different template. Same thing.
11. I noticed that Logic saw me touching the keyboard, and then I tried to see if it would record MIDI data. Message: Record drive/partition "MPC12" not found.
10. Tested both i-Tunes and Garageband which both give me correct audio.
11. I went back into Time Machine and replaced Logic Pro with yesterday's application.
12. Problem persists.
13. I deleted any logic plist. I could find. Reopened Logic. The computer asked me to reregister. After doing so, the software still had not changed.
14. Rebooted the computer. No change.
15. Totally frustrated. This message sent.

Not at all. Everything has been working fine for months until I did this thing today where I was trying to get my arrange window sequencing to connect with the sounds in my U-20.
It seems now that my digital audio track is working again but the output and master are not in the Mixer windows. I can not hear the digital instruments that come with Logic when playing through the sequencer. However, I am noting that if I create a separate window with the mixer, and I click on one of the virtual instruments, then touch the keyboard, a sound does come up.
So:
1) How do I get the software to create both an output and a master control?
2) How do I get the software to have three mouse control buttons for the top left of all the editing windows (arrange, score, piano roll, sample editor)?

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the errant extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.
Uninstall the McAfee product by following the instructions on whichever of the pages linked below is applicable:

Help, my iPod's not working right.

Help. I unfortunately downloaded iOS 6.0 to my iPod touch and now it's not working right. I can't listen to anything in the itunes store and a song I tried to download doesn't work on my iPod, yet it works on my computer. Is there anyway to go back to the old OS system I had before this one? Is this happening to anyone else? What can I do?

It would seem that the problem was that you were not logged into your iTunes account on your device, and logging in fixed it.
That is great! You did well in your troubleshooting. I'm glad you got it fixed. Sometimes, just messing around with it, trying to figure it out helps.
As for updating, it would be good to do as I suggested, but I don't know what Apple's next update will hold for our devices. Whether it will fix only some, or all of the problems. So I would say that keeping an eye out, maybe on this forum, for results of the next update, whether or not it helped others, and how much it fixed. It may even take a few more updates for it to come back around to working as it should. Once your device doesn't seem to be full of errors and bugs, (and maybe the Apple forums are full of positive reviews) then you can stop updating. I'm not saying that updates are always bad, it is hard to tell. So if your comfortable with how your device is working, then you can choose to ignore future updates, it's your choice. I don't know when the updates are coming out either, so we are all riding it and seeing how it will turn out.

You cannot reinstall iOS without doing a restore. But you might first try a software update. If you have iOS 5.0 or 5.0.1, you can update to iOS 5.1 by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

IPad 2 was updated to latest iOS 7 and has been not working right since. I have tried to do a restore but still continues to go into reboot mode by itself and very erratic. Can no longer trust it. I tried to complain to Apple but have to give them 20 buck

iPad has not worked right since it updated to latest software. Tried to question Apple about it but it costs 20 bucks just to lodge a complaint. Is this normal Apple behavior or am I missing something. Also anyone else having issues with upgrade to iOS7. It was working great until that point and now goes into reboot mode often and sometimes will continuously reboot several times. I have tried to restore but that didn't clear the problem. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

What do you mean? Please be more precised so I may help you father. If it is plugged in, but won't open. You must wait at least 5 minutes before using it again. Ipod need a certain amount of power for it to start. Or even when its plugged in but wont charge, make sure it is connected very well to the computer or the power outlet to the Ipod. Lastly, if you are charging at another place, for example in your friend's house. The voltage power may be different from where you mostly charge it from. But if it isn't plugged. Maybe it need to be charged?

You can always try to reset your device and see if it helps matters any:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

Hi, after installing the update for Snow Leopard safari is not working right. Some pages don't load, and other don't load correctly.
I have to keep hitting refresh two or three times. Also thunbnails are not displaying. Even the apple page comes up looking buggy.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. First, disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard, mouse, monitor, and Ethernet, if applicable. Boot in safe mode and log in as yourself. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Be sure your Mac is shut down.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During startup, you will see "Safe Boot" on the login screen, which appears even if you normally log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Safe mode is slower than normal, and some things won’t work at all, perhaps including wireless networking on certain Macs. If you usually connect to the Internet via WiFi, and it doesn’t work in safe mode, connect using an Ethernet cable. If you can’t do that, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and perform a safe login, as follows: Enter your credentials at the login screen, then hold down the shift key and click the “Log in” button. Keep holding the key until the menu bar appears. In this mode, your login items, among other things, won’t load.
In safe mode, test again. Same problem(s) now?
After testing, reboot (if you booted in safe mode) or log out/log in (if you performed a safe login) as usual.

Download the latest version of iTunes and install it! Here's the link : http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
After you download iTunes, you connect your iPhone to the computer and sync it once. After that right click on the iPhone under the devices in the sidebar on the left and hit backup. After it's done. Hit the restore button. It will download the latest version of iOS and it's gonna take a while to download it. After download is completed, it will start restoring your iPhone with the latest iOS, it will take few minutes, and you're done installing the latest iOS in your iPhone.
This should solve your problem anyhow

Hp advisor not working right

I have a laptop HP HDX X16T-1200 CTO PREMIUM NOTEBOOK PC and it has two problems
first one COMPUTER WON'T DO SYSTEM RESTORE TO AN EARLIER TIME, I have a lot of restore points
second one HP ADVISOR IS NOT WORKING RIGHT, I open the dashboard and everything starts working but security part keep saying it's initializing, at the same time I get a little message that says hp advisor has a problem windows is checking for a solution but so far a did not get any solution.

Going back to a restore point can be problematic if you are using Norton. It has tamper protection setting among others that cause the Windows ssytem restore point process to fail.
