My i pod touch turns on but the apple logo just shows up thats it what will i do?

what do i do

Hello jackers,
Try a hard reset.  To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.  This may or may not work the first time around, so don't be afraid to try this as many times as you feel necessary.
If still no luck, try connecting it to your iTunes library in Recovery Mode and restoring it there.

  • I tryed reseting my ipod touch but the apple logo wont go away no matter what i do and computer wont recognise it

I tried to reset my ipod touch but the apple logo wont go away and isnt responding to my computer HELP!!

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Can't restore an i-Pod touch 3g, stuck at the Apple logo!

I have an ipod touch 3g. It just stuck at the Apple logo. I tried to restore it in DFU mode because it can't be detected in normal mode. While restoring in process, the ipod stuck again with black screen at the phase "preparing the ipod for restore"! I download the freshest version of iTunes and iOS many time but no change. I tought that I have problem in my PC but I tried to update another i-Pod, it's done perfectly. BTW, I get this problem, accidently, after my ipod was fallen down. I restarted it. then, I get this problem! Any help please?

  • My ipod touch is flashing white on and off, I hold the buttons down, and the screen goes black- but the apple logo does not come on. What do I do?

So I have had this problem before, and know that you hold down the top Power button and the Home button, at the same time, for roughly 10 seconds, or until the apple logo comes on.
The problem is, when I press the buttons and the screen goes black, like it's supposed to before the logo pops up, the apple logo isn't appearing.
I was wondering if that's because my I pod touch was drained when I plugged it in to charge, and I tried to turn it on when it was still charging?
    What can I do?

The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. I hope this was helpful reply if you have any questions :) good luck

  • HT1212 I just bought a used i pod touch from work but the screen says Ipod is disabled, how do i clear that to get back and enter in the passcode

I just bought a used i pod touch from work but the screen says Ipod is disabled, how do I clear that to get back and eneter in the passcode?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

My Iphone 3gs wont charge, turn on, or restore itself in Itunes, but the apple logo still appears when I hold the sleep botton.  How can I make my Iphone work????  I know it is not dead because I can see the apple logo on, and every time I connect it to a USB port to charge, or a wall charger, the battery appears with a bit of red. Still, it wont turn on.  It's been like this for three days now and I haven't stopped charging it.  IT just WONT charge?  Any tips I can use to solve the issue?

    Hello estebie67,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like the iPhone is experiencing issues upon startup, and may not be loading the firmware or operating system correctly. If you have not already done so, try resetting the iPhone while connected to power:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430
If the above does not resolve your issue, it will be best to restore the iPhone in recovery mode:
iOS: Unable to update or restore
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
