My I pod wont sync because it says you can only sync with one library I have recently reloaded windows
help
Your iPod can only be synced with one computer at a time. If you try to sync it with a new computer/iTunes library, it will replace the contents of the iPod with whatever is in the new library. If all the content that is on your iPod is in iTunes, there shouldn't be a problem. Just go ahead and sync your iPod
Otherwise, you are probably wanting to copy everything from your iPod back to your PC first. If that is the case, you should probably disable the autosync functionality first by going to Edit -> Preferences, clicking the Devices tab, and enabilng the prevent iPods,iPhones, and iPads from automatically syncing option.
Before doing anything else, authorize the new computer with your iTunes Account. In iTunes, choose Store -> Authorize This Computer and enter in the correct credentials. Either copy a backup file from your old computer to your new one or create a new backup of your iPod in iTunes before letting it sync.
Then right->click on your iPod Touch from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes and choose Backup. You might also want to take a look at this article to see what it all included in the backup.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
Now onto synced content such as music, videos, photos, etc. For iTunes purchases you can copy them back into iTunes by choosing File -> Transfer Purchases. For all other nonpurchased iTunes content, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering different software availbable to assist you with this task.

Once the backup has been made and all other synced content such as music, videos, and photos are back in your iTunes library, restore your iPod from that backup you made earlier. Here is more on backing up and restoring your iPod.

Copy the movie from the current library to the correct library.

I have just purchased a new macbook and need to sync my iphone with itunes, i understand that you can only sync your phone with one itunes account. I do not want to wipe my iphone when syncing with this new itunes account. Any advice welcome
1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it. -
iv just bought a new laptop, i am trying to sync my songs on my iphone to my itunes, but it says it can only be sync with 1 itunes, any way around this?
The iPhone like all iDevices is not a storage device, it is merely a mirror of the content in the library to which it is synced.
If you wish to sync to a new computer, the first step is to copy or move the iTunes media library from the old computer to the new computer. This can be done via the network or by using an external hard drive.
Once the library has been moved, simply sync to the new computer. -
I have an iPhone 5 and I have authorized 2 laptops to sync with it.
The problem is I can only sync apps I have downloaded from one laptop while music from the other laptop. I can't sync music and apps to my iPhone from the same laptop.
How do I solve this?
Note: The first laptop I synced with is also shared with my wife's iPhone 4.
Thanks in advance.you can only really sync your phone with one device, well strictly not true but its the better practice.
first point, be careful here.
second, plug your iPhone into the first machine and check the settings related to synchronising with 'that' machine.
then do the same with the second.
you will find that one is setup to sync apps and the other to sync music. I'd recommend that you go to the one that has your music stored on it, get it to download all of your apps and use this machine as your main machine from now on.
Using two seperate machines must be confusing and could lead to you suddenly loosing all of you data if you sync completely with one machine that does contain everything you want! -

My apple TV will work fine and then it stops and says having trouble communicating with your library. I have reset the device 3 times and after it works fine, but then I have to reset all settings again. It is getting really frustrating because the signal is fine and everything it just stops working for some reason. Can any one help or does anyone else experience this issue?

It appears that sync'ingis pretty much one way, from the desktop to the device. If you create a folder on the desktop that is synced through iTunes with the iPhone, that folder appears as an Album in Pictures on the device. But on the device you cannot add photos to that synced Album, so there is no way to use the desktop-based Album as an evolving target for new pictures on the phone, unless you do all the additions on the desktop software.
This really isn't "syncing".
Further, if you create a new Album on the iPhone, it doesn't appear in the sync'ed folders on the desktop.
The configuration for this discussion is iTunes 11 on Windows PC, iPhone 4S, and Windows Photo Gallery for picture editing on the PC.
I'd like to have Albums and PC-based Picture Folders truly sync'ed. Am I missing something or is this truly an iTunes Photo Sync'ing deficiency? The camera roll is not part of the sync process at all.
You should be importing these photos to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera. Youc an organize them on your computer and sync the to the iphone if you wish.
The photos sync from the computer to the iphone is one way.
The iphone mirrors the selected content of the computer to which it is synced. -
I have tried to set my email to reply from my iphone 5 both of which use the same SMTP server. I can't change the settings on the others as it will only allow one mail account. Can I add multiple with the same smtp?
I Am not using gmail I use seperate company for my mails both use the same smtp server. The problem is when I set my first account it them uses these details and passwords when I create the second account saying that the smtp server is already in use by the primary account. I therefor can't set the password.

I'm looking to upgrade the RAM on my Intel 2.4 Core 2 Duo unibody MacBook, which currently has 4GB pre-installed Apple RAM. In searching for an answer to whether this machine is expandable to more than 4gbs of RAM this is one answer I came across that I believe is credible:
"Apple lists what they think should be the maximum amount of RAM. However it is not correct. Your Mac can accept 8GB of RAM. Take a look at OWC (just click on OWC) that will take you to the site that sells RAM specifically for Macs. Your Unibody MacBook can accept up to 8GB of RAM 2X4GB. Take my MacBook Pro for instants, Apple claims the maximum amount of memory is 8GB. But in reality it can take up to 16GB. It has more to do with the Processor, rather than the logic board itself. You can take up to 8GB." (Credit: 'coander15')
Like I said, I don't doubt the credibility of the answer, I just am looking for someone to give me the "Apple explanation" as to why they cap the White Unibody MB @ 4GB of memory. It seems to be a common consensus that this model machine IS expandable up to 8GBs when looking through discussion forums. I've taken into account the marketing aspect of this from AAPL's perspective, but if someone could lay it out in any amount of detail logistically, I'd greatly appreciate it. Bottom line, I'm trying to assess the risk in upping my machine's memory.
Thanks! When the 1066Mhz RAM first came out 4gb sticks cost $600 each and 8gb sticks were $1600 each. Apple didn't bother testing them since no one was going to pay more for 2 RAM sticks than they paid for the MacBook. Prices later came down but Apple was already on to the next model and didn't bother going back to test on the older models. They left that up to third party sellers.
