My I-pod5 wont switch on but is fully charged

My ipod 5 is fully charged  but the screen wont turn on there is some sound

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My 4S phone is turning off but is fully charged

My iphone is turning off but is fully charged.  If I recharge, would turn back on. Now it is just giving me "no service" and can only call out emergency

    Sounds like a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

  • After charging my iphone5 for many hours I checked it and it 100% charged but not fully charged as the sign of charging on the top of the screen is still and the sign of unblug the charging cable doesn't show up and this happened several times ...!?

Apple told you it was unrepairable.... You had it serviced by an unauthorized party. It's now no longer eligible for out of warranty replacement by Apple.
There's really nothing else we can say about it. Find a competent 3rd party repair shop or buy a new one.

  • My Nokia N95 wont switch on, but the white backgro...

My mum only gave me this phone 2days ago as she got a new one.  She's never had a problem with it and has kept it in a hard case so still looks brand new.  I always have a habit of breaking or losing phones, this is 3rd one in 4months
Anyway I picked my phone up and it was switched off but I presumed it was dead as I had left my music playing.  I put it on charge only for 10 minutes but i never tried switchig it on as i forgot to take it out with me.  I put it on charge again last nite but it won't turn on this morning.  The screen comes up white with the battery sign on the right which stops after a minute as i assume its fully charged now. Its not the charger as my bf uses it for his and the phone does seem to be charging.  The on button can't be broken as when i press it the white background comes back on.
I've tried the hard reset wth the 3 * and green button but nothing.
Please help, can't afford to pay to have it repaired and my mum will kill me as  it has loads of pics and videos  :-(

    1. Take out the battery, leave your battery and SIM out for 5-10minutes and put everything back in and turn it on .
    2. Hard reset: This is the last resort. All data stored in the phone memory wil be lost. This is how you do it: Press and hold down these keys: the call (Green) button, '*', '3'. Turn on your phone without releasing them. Leave the keys only after you see the region selection screen.
You might need multiple attempts to finally get it right. Try again.
Good luck... Hope your mom doesn't find out what you've done with her toy

  • My iPhone 4S Wont Come on, but makes the charging sound every few seconds

I have an iPhone 4S and the device wont power on, but when i plug it in, it repeatedly makes the sound of when you plug in your device to a power source. What is this and How do i fix this?

Try to backup and restore you device in itunes...restoring the device is like removing the iOS software off the device and re-add in a newer software, after you have restore you device, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP YOUR DEVICE LIKE A NEW DEVICE, DONT NOT RESTORE FROM BACKUP!!... give the device a chance to use the newer software and see if the issue still persisting, if the issue still on going then its would be a hardware issue.
Call Apple Care and see if your device is still under warranty to get it replace

  • Battery is dead, but Shows fully charged w/AC

I am having a strange problem... My battery is dead and won' actually charge. When I plug it in to the AC charger, it simply shows that the battery is fully charged. As soon as I unplug the charger, the Ipod instantly zaps off. I cannot get anything when I have it plug ged to USB. Computer doesn't recognize anything and the Ipod shows a battery icon with a crossed-out circle and the words "Plas Wait. Very low battery." Then there is the Apple wait spinning thing below. But, I never get past this screen.
So this all causes me to not sync my Ipod. The Ipod is fully functioning when plugged via AC charger, but as soon as it leaves it's life support, it is DEAD.
Please help me find the solution to this problem. It will save me a big headache, trust me!

I'm having the exact same problem, any help would be very much appreciated.

  • My macbook air 11 inch wont boot up. it is fully charge.  it was working last year.  what happen

    help please

What happens when it tried to boot? Is there any screen display? If there is but it won't boot from the internal SSD, then I'd boot from the USB key and try to repair the SSD. If that doesn't work then I'd try to reinstall the OS.
If you are not getting any display any display I'd consider taking it to a local Apple Store to be looked at. It would still be under warranty.

  • My blackberry wont tur on and its fully charged

my phone just turned its self of and it keeps turning back on and then cutting back off againa and when it isnt on the light just keeps flashing red and i dont know what to do with it

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for about five minutes, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
    Now, does it fully reboot?

  • Ipod touch 5th gen wont sync when battery is fully charged

    1. My ipod touch will sync just fine if it is currently charging (ie on its way to a full battery).
    2. If however it gets fully charged and the sync is not complete it will stop the sync cold, eject the ipod, reconnect, and attempt the whole process again (ipod backup, check what needs to be synced, begin syncing).
    3. It never gets all the way through the subsequent sync attempts as the battery charge complete indication on the ipod screen comes up periodically and we go back to step 2 every time.
Any suggestions, questions, or concerns about my method or settings I could change would be greatly appreciated?

    Reboot coputer
    Try another USB port
    Try another cable

  • Battery charges when asleep but will NOT charge while awake

    Hello -
By battery will charge when off/asleep but will not charge while awake. It just slowly drains to nothing and dies even though adapter is plugged in. magsafe adapter light is green when open/on and orange when off/asleep and lights on battery indicate charging while in the latter state. still using stock battery that came with computer when I got it a few years ago, so it's not new by any means, but when fully charged lasts as long as it used to. I would think maybe charger is issue, but it DOES charge, just not while awake. not sure why computer wouldn't still work correctly while plugged in if in battery indicator it says power source is "power adapter," but its not. I have tried resetting PMU and calibrating battery. the combo of the two seemed to work when having issue a few months ago, but it just started doing it again. frustrating because once it dies I have to wait several hours until its fully charged again, so it cramps the workflow... any ideas? battery info from profiler below.

Scott - Your answer ultimately led me to the answer, albeit months later, after much internal deliberation and some trial and error... thanks!
Ruled out battery (as crazy as that sounds - it's had a bajillion cycles) as it didn't make sense that battery would charge but wouldn't work while awake. I have a friend whose battery is completely shot and his still works as long as magsafe is plugged in, and mine wouldn't even do that. tried another adapter and that worked. then tried mine in a different plug. so in the end, turns out I had a bum powerstrip... mag safe / battery recharge works properly when just plugged in somewhere different.
So no need to buy a new charger or battery (yet!)
    thanks to all,
    Ian
