My i tunes wont open

My i tunes wont open its been like this since yesterday

Have you tried closing iTunes completely and reboot the iPad?
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the iTunes icon. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/APSDaemon.dll/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?
If you still have the same error messages cropping up, then try the procedures from the following user tip:

  • I tunes wont open after download says improperly installed

i tunes wont open after install

sorry to say but if that error is in place, there is only one way to fix it. By uninstalling the itunes and re-installing it back. It will not take that long since apple has done a great job managing the installation, there must have some missing components that was not recognized as installed.
To ensure that your installation will be flawless, its a great way to close all windows and perhaps other applications running at the back, and wait a couple of minute until the installation is complete

  • I tunes wont open

the other day my itunes just shut off while i was listening to it. I tried to update it and that didnt work, so i uninstalled it. I just got my friends itunes cd that came with her ipod and installed it on my computer. Itunes till wont open. The message says the itunes music library can't open because a newer version of itunes was on the cd i guess. so i went online again and updated, itunes still wont open. please help me!!!!!!!

Maybe iTunes thinks it's already running?
Since you are not getting any kind of error message, try this.
Make sure iTunes is completely gone from Windows Task Manager.
    1. Right-mouse click on a blank space in the task bar.
    2. Select Task Manager
    3. Click on the Processes tab.
    4. Make sure the checkmark for "Show processes from all users" is selected.
    5. Click on the words "Image Name". This will sort everything alphabetically.
    6. Scroll down the list and look for anything that starts with iTunes.
    7. Highlight the iTunes processes, one by one, and press the End Process button for each.
    8. Close Task Manager.
    9. Launch iTunes again.

  • I tunes wont open because of missing files how do i fix this?, i tunes wont open because of missing files how do i fix this?

every time i try to go onto itunes it says itunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing please reinstall itunes. and it wont let me do that either please help thank you

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Windows XP i-Tunes wont open.Message comes up "i-Tunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall i-Tunes. Tried reinstalling but quits midway thru installation

I have Windows XP & until recently i-Tunes was working fine. Now when I try to open I get this message "i-Tunes cannot run because some of its required files are missing. Please reinstall i-Tunes. So I did. Midway thru ,installation stops & same message is repeated. So I uninstalled i-Tunes, Downloaded new one, went thru installation process for the same result & same message. Have tried procedure 4 times, resulting in same result each time. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did try to uninstall and reinstall.  It messed up my computer.  I had to "RESTORE" from the prior days backup.  This was not helpful at all.  I'm used to losing all my stuff when I connect to iTunes, that's a whole other issue, but now I'm completely banned from any updates to my phone at all.  Geeze.......

  • I tunes wont open says issue

every time i want to open i tunes, it has an issue,
    says it cant open

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

  • HELP PLZ!! i tune wont open at all!

this is getting so frustrating!! now i have another problem, itune wont even run! it keeps giving a message that quicktime is required to run itunes. i alrready have quick time installed and it still wouldnt run
    can someone help me please

Try completely uninstalling iTunes, Quicktime and related software as given is in this article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923
Download and install the version of Quicktime that does NOT include iTunes:
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/win.html
Check that it works, then install iTunes:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Sometimes a phased install like this fixes problems.

  • HT203175 I Tunes wont open.

Error message states, ITunes has encountered a problem and needs to close.
    Error signature = AppName: itunes.exe,
    AppVer 11.0.1.12,
    ModName: corefoundation.dlll
    ModVer: 1.630.18.0
    Offset: 0005e550.
Was working fine previously any help much appreciated.

With any luck, that might be indicating an afs.sys issue. We'd better check for that.
Could you post your diagnostics for us please?
In iTunes, go "Help > Run Diagnostics". (If you're running iTunes 11.0.x you'll need to bring up your menu bar first to see the Help menu.) Uncheck the boxes other than DVD/CD tests, as per the following screenshot:
    ... and click "Next".
When you get through to the final screen:
... click the "Copy to Clipboard" button and paste the diagnostics into a reply here. (Use your Ctrl-V keyboard shortcut to paste.)

unfortunately you cant ring about iTunes but you can email them!
You got a couple of options:
    1) Re-install iTunes
    2) Restart your computer
There are many more options, you may need to explain a bit further so its easier to fix your problem!
    Or
You may want to find more information on iTunes here:
