My i-web site wont load .can;t find server

hi ,
i started i-web o8 for the first time and loaded pictures on the page, when i went to publish them it went through the process and when i went to the web page from the prompt it said Safari can’t open the page “http://www.my name.com/Site” because it can’t find the server. has your .com name with i-web to be the same as your .mac account name and if so, how do i change this to suit my i-web page.

i published the site with my .mac account, and got the site in my name but got the error message on safari.[ does not no server]. but however i followed your link and got some answers it might take up to 48 hours to load my site with .mac

Ok, first thing, why are you doing anything with WAMP or XAMPP when you're running a Mac? MAMP should be what you want unless you're not explaining part of what you are trying to do.
2nd thing, I haven't used MAMP in a while, but there are two possibilities for not seeing what you want to see once you have MAMP turned on. One possibility is that you already have "Web Sharing" turned on in your Sharing Preference Pane. If that is the case, port 80 will already be taken and you'll be seeing the default Apache install (files are stored at /Library/WebServer/Documents/). This would push MAMP to either not turn on it's web serving capabilities, or to push it to another port. The other possibility is that MAMP defaults to another port anyway. So instead of localhost, you might have to type in localhost:8080 or something similar. I believe the control panel that gets installed can take you to the currently MAMP-served page, and it can also help you change which port your serving on.
80 is the default port for web serving and the ONLY port that will let you get straight to the server without having to type in webaddress.com:port# instead of just webaddress.com.

When i open safari it is very slow but once it has opened i can switch web sites very quick, can anyone tell me why.

Try changing the "Top Sites shows:" to the smallest number possible. Safari is loading these sites when its starts so it can give you an image of what the site looks like when you start blank new window. A smaller number of sites will make that quicker, assuming the top sites do not have a very slow site in the mix.

Just upgraded to FF 12 from FF 3.6 and most of my favicons are now dotted line squares. Any way to get the favicons associated with each web site to load?

The CheckPlaces extension can restore favicons. It is also great for checking bookmarks to ensure that they are still valid.

I'm seeing Symantec in the crash report. Are you running Norton? It's well known for causing problems on Macs. You don't need any AV like that. Uninstall it and see if the crashes stop. Uninstall it whether they stop or not.

It should be around 7 and a half gigs. In iTunes, across the bottom there should be a bar that show how much storage is being used and by what. (music, movies, apps, etc.) To make music take up less room, you can check the box to make it convert the music to 128kbps AAC. This lowers the quality, but with most earbuds and speakers, you can't even tell the difference.
The iPod touch has parental controls built in. You'll find them in Settings. I think they only work for enabling/disabling Safari, Mail, YouTube, and App Store. Here's an app that does more: http://www.mobicip.com/online_safety/ipod_touch

Sorry, you cannot downgrade iOS software.
First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appear. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Settings>Safari>Clear cookies and data.
Now close Safari completely. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then "swipe up" or "drag up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

Basically every time i click on website other windows open and get redirected to other websites selling something (same as that mackeeper site which seems to open often) Really ***** as in just a few minutes on the web I have many windows open and many are the same pages. Can't make changes in the advanced tab of network as options are greyed out and the + & - symbols do nothing when clicked. Hope there is an easy answer as surfing net is really sucking right now

I can find all the albums, I can see all the icons for the pictures, I can select an iconed pciture and it appears in the top left of the preference pane (showing the effect of "fit to window" or "stretch to fit", etc). But all I get is a pale blue screen (which might be my default desktop colour). I don't get any of my iPhoto album pics to appear as a dektop background.
There is one minor note on this, I don't keep the pictures in my iPhoto Library, I just reference them, and the originals are on a different internal disk.
I've tried the suggestions above, trashing finder and desktop plists, killall Finder, etc. restart. Nothing gets it working again. It did work originally, for most of the time I've had the Mac Pro, then I changed the dektop to an Apple supplied picture of Earth.
This affects both an Admin, and a standard user. The photos (and enclosing folders) are read / writable by the admin user, and readable by the Standard user. Both users can easily access the photos in their iPhoto. They open the original files on the second internal drive, and performing a right click - Show File shows the original file as expected. I've even emptied the iPhoto library completely and rebuilt it, just in case there was an issue here.
Any ideas ? or anyone else seen this ? I don't really want to start reformatting disks and reinstalling the OS, but any suggestions short of this are extremely welcome.
