My IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.3 FP2 WebMail application no longer works to send or reply to emails I need to get Firefox 15?

As described, since I upgraded to Firefox 16.0.1 yesterday, when I access my work WebMail application of IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.3 FP2, it will not send emails, reply to emails, or attach files to emails. I saw some similar issues posted for earlier versions, but our tech support group will not make changes and say Firefox is not a supported browser environment. So, I need to get an earlier version of Firefox until the interaction problem is fixed.

This is due to a change in Firefox removing the ability to used signed script. The technote below from IBM describes a workaround and a fix is due out in the next fixpack.

I have a form with a standard button to send the entire pdf by mail. My mail client is IBM Lotus iNotes. When I include a cc variable or two address in the address field, both address and cc field is left blank in inotes when it opens. I have adobe professional 9.0 and IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.2. This is my button javascript code on its click event:

I think it's an iNotes problem. I've compared both urls created while is launching iNotes and when cTo: has one single address, the url presents the SendTo field filled, but when cTo has two address, there is no SendTo field in the url.

These urls are built by iNotes I suppose and iNotes doesn`t work properly in this matter.

I am having issues with attachments using IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.1. Sometime they re there, others not. Any know issues?

I recently downloaded and installed Firefox 4.0 on my MacBookPro. My employer uses IBM Lotus iNotes 8.5.1 for email. Since I have installed 4.0, some of the attachments come through, others do not. I am also having issues forwarding emails as certain buttons do not appear such as "Send". The previous version of Firefox had no issues of this kind.

I am trying to integrate Cisco Unified Presence 8.6.1.10000-34 with IBM Lotus Notes 8.5.2 with the integrated Sametime Client version 8.0.2 via the Cisco Plugins 8.6.1.1185.
Phone control is working fine, whereas the presence status is not shown (= no handset symbol next to the Sametime user). When I look in the preferences of the plugin, I can see that the plugin has connected successfully to the CUCM (8.6.2.20000-2),whereas the connection to the CUPS has not been established.
The user id as well as the password are all the same on all systems. Here is a description of what I have configured via the ciscocfg.exe tool:
Feature Control:
- Enable Phone Status -> checked
- Enable Dial Using Cisco IP Communicator -> unchecked (not required)
- Enable Control Desk Phone -> checked
- Default Mode -> Control Desk Phone
Control Desk Phone Settings:
- Voicemail Pilot Number -> left blank (no voicemail)
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager
     - Servers -> IP address of CUCM
     - Read Only -> unchecked
     - Use as Default CUCM -> checked
     - Synchronize Credentials -> checked
          - Use Sametime Credentials -> checked
Use Secure Connection: -> not required
LDAP Phone Attributes: -> not required
Phone Status Settings:
- Cisco Unified Presence Servers -> IP address of CUPS
- Read Only -> unchecked

Servers and clients used:
1x CUCM 8.6.2.20000-2
1x CUPS 8.6.1.10000-34
1x IBM Lotus Domino Messaging Express Server 8.5.2
1x Sametime Entry Server 8.5.2 (on top of the Domino server)
2x IBM Lotus Notes 8.5.2 with integrated Sametime 8.0.2
2x Cisco Phone Control and Presence with Lotus Sametime (PCAP) 8.6.1.1185
2x Cisco Unified Personal Communicator 8.5.5.19839
Setup:
- CUCM, CUPS and CUPC are working fine, i.e. Desk Phone control via CUPC, as well as availability and presence status are working without issues
- IBM Lotus Domino server is the LDAP Directory, the Sametime Entry Server is installed on top of the Domino server and uses the Domino Directory
- User ID and password on CUCM/CUPS match the ShortName field and password in Domino
- The PCAP plug-in has been manually deployed to both Notes clients with the following configuration:
     - Enable Phone Status -> active
     - Desk Phone Control -> active
     - no credential synchronization for CUCM and CUPS, i.e. every user must fill the user details himself
     - Sametime User ID Mapping is implemented via the LDAP Attribute uid (which is equal to the user id in CUCM)
     - LDAP configuration filled in with details of the Domino server
Phone Control is working fine, also the connection to the LDAP server (Domino) is fine. However, when I type in the credentials for the CUPS server login, I can see (in Troubleshooting pane) that the user (pparker) is connected to the CUPS server for a short period of time and then gets disconnected. After that no connection is possible to the CUPS server, i.e. status is always disconnected.
I have collected the Tomcat (EPASSoap00010.log and security00010.log) logs via RTMT and compared them to the logs from the PCAP plugin. The relevant time period is from 15:14 to 15:17. In the Tomcat logs I can see that the authentication is successful (see attached files), however in the log of PCAP plugin I can see the following messages:

I don't understand why the connection is rejected although the Sametime Internal ID and CUPS User ID match. Does anyone know what the issue could be?

Upgraded to 6.0.2, IBM Lotus Notes doesn't work correctly. Can I fall back to a previous FireFox?

I've been using previous versions of FireFox for years on XP machines. Recently bought a Win-7 machine and upgraded both to FF 6.0.2. I can't get scroll bars on the side when using my company's IBM Lotus Domino. I've had to drop back to IE, which I do not like. Is there some way to fall back to an earlier version of FF? The site with the problem requires UID/PW to login, so I can't show you the problem I'm experiencing.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Attachments of files from IBM Lotus

When an email is received in the CRM system with attachments of files from IBM Lotus (version 8), the attachments cannot be opened in the CRM system (version 7.0).
In inbox mail there is a icon of the attached file.
If to open link u201Ctransfer to crmu201D the letter of the attached file isn't present.

Can anyone tell me how does SAP workflow builder interact with IBM Lotus notes? For e.g., say a workflow has been initiated by a user and it has been assigned to his manager. Then in this case, the manager should be intimated by an email about the start of the workflow. How to configure the email ids to continue with the workflow. Can you please tell me the exact procedure of carrying out this workflow starting from the beginning till end?

You can set up Extended Notifications outside of workflow to send emails (which can end up in Lotus Notes) telling users that they have workitems in their inbox.
If you just want to tell someone a workflow has started, then you can use a SendMail step within the workflow.

Problems of installing IBM Lotus Notes Client in MacBookAir (Mac OS 10.6.5)

I installed IBM Lotus Notes Client 8.5 on my Mac OS 10.6.5 (MacBook Air), but it was shown as Simplified Chinese interface (my time zone is in Hong Kong); however, even I uninstalled and installed again, problem still exists. (in which I would like to have a English interface) Finally I set my time zone and changed all the settings to USA, uninstall and install again, the Notes interface's still shown in Simplified Chinese. Any solution? Thanks a lot.

You need to put your screenshot on a server someplace and then post the url to it.
But these forums are for Apple products and I am doubtful you will get much help regarding that software here. Normally multilingual software should display the language which is at the top of the list in system prefs/language & text/language (make sure that is English). But non-Apple software is often not multilingual.

What aplication or conduit can I get to synchronize my Centro/Palm OS 4.2 with IBM Lotus Notes Release 8? I use to use Easysynch but that doesn't work anymore. Your help is appreciated.

I got the synch working with Lotus R8 using Easysynch. After installing Lotus R8, I had to unintall Palm and Easysynch and then reinstall them in order 1) Palm first, 2) Easysynch second. Then I had to do a ONEWAY synch so I selcted Palm to computer. I wish I had done a synch prior to installing Lotus R8. I did lose a litte data, but no biggy. My calendar and contacts synchronize with Lotus thru Easysynch followed by everything else synchronizing with PalmDesk. do NOT synch email. So it is working again.

that little "&" sends the conky process to the background freeing up the current process (your autostart.sh script) to finish doing what it's doing so you can move on to running openbox itself. with this in mind, it should be obvious why keeping conky in the foreground would cause problems.
also, replacing it with (sleep 1 && conky) & means... wait a second, when that's done successfully (&&) run conky, and put all of that () to the background. that way openbox comes up immediatly and only a second later you've got your panel and monitor.
all this after .xinitrc and before openbox

Sync with Act 2006 (version 8.0) and IBM Lotus Not...

I'm looking into purchasing an E71. This will be my first smartphone. I need it to do the following:
1) Sync my E71 with Lotus Notes (version 7.0) to receive my work e-mail. Our tech department only supports BlackBerry's...should I be able to figure this out? Will everything sync wirelessly?
2) Sync my E71 to receive my contacts from Act 2006 (version 8.0). Does Nokia's PC Suite allow sycnronization from Act to the E71? Will it continuously update wirelessly?
3) Sync my E71 to receive my calendar from Act 2006 (version 8.0). This is the most critical of my tasks...I need a mobile calendar and I'm not willing to switch from Act. How do I get my calendar from Act 8.0 to my E71?

PC Suite already supports Lotus Notes.
However IBM/Lotus has announced an S60 client (Lotus Notes Traveler) with Nokia (but it is IBM/Lotus that has written that application:

Firefox 4 is not supporting IBM Lotus Notes, previous versions did. Any solutions?

My emails on IBM Lotus Notes do not show up in version 4. They did in the previous versions of Firefox.

I have same problem. I have switched to Seamonkey specifically for access to Lotus Notes (Version 7 at my employer), as this also allows access via Win 7 (as well as XP), whereas IE and Firefox do not. It is simpler for me, as our I.S. service will not release server information. While not as advanced as Firefox, Seamonkey is nonetheless very usable and shares a number of Mozilla add-ons.

Lotus inotes ver 8.5, error message in Safari

My "behind the times company" uses Lotus inotes ver 8.5 as an email client!. The worlds most archaic software.
In windows when you fire this up a pop up window starts a cache cleaner. If I cancel this, I get an error message in Inotes saying
Error encountered retrieving data: Bad content type: text/html
When I try and access said same site in safari on my MAC, there is no pop up cache clear window and the error message is immediatley displayed. I cannot open any email at all.
Can anyone help as I do not have any Windows devices any more and need to use a MAC
