My ibook wound't take my password again!

Hi everyone,
I have had my computer for 21 months now, and it's been working pretty well without a problem, but 2 days ago, I switched it off and on again and input the normal password to access it but wouldn't work. I'm pretty sure the password is correct and hasn't changed. I really do not know what do now as I am in desperate need of my uni. works now, could anyone help me with what to do please.

So it sounds like you are completely locked out? This is what happened to me last spring, and after talking to Apple Tech Support and a product specialist and a Genius at the Apple Store, I ended up having to reinstall the OS. In my case, it was because the OS had become degraded and that was the only option open to me.
However, I would not recommend you do this just yet. An archive and install or erase and install might be an ultimate thing you have to do, but I think there are more steps to take first. A "Safe Boot" is one, but in all honesty I don't feel I know enough to guide you through this.
Hopefully the more knowledgeable and experienced members of the forum will step in here and advise you on what to do next.

HT5622 I keep getting a pop up about signing into an Icloud account. It won't take the password. I tried to log in on pc and sign in and screwed up on my security questions and it's kicked me out.. how long til I can try again?

I am in iphone **** or better icloud ****. When I try to go ointo settings on the phone a signin prompt pops up continuously with one apple id. I think i've made it that i have a separate icloud and apple id. I am trying to delete the icloud id. I made all the passwords the same so that there should be no problem but the phone won't still take the password. So when i went in again, looking to see if I could delete the icloud, i screwed up answering my security questions and am now unable to enter that icloud id. How long til I can again? Secondly, since the phone won't accept any password, I have tried to delete it. When I do that, it come up with a request for that same password to shut of the locator service. What the heck? I'm frustrated. I just can't get the hang of apple software and itunes seems to be just as bad for me. Any suggestions appreciated ( aside from stomping on it, I've considered it). Tried to take the battery out but not for me, mere mortal, thought might reset. Got sim card out. Whooopeeee.

It sounds like you have the Find my iphone Activation lock for sure. Go to www.icloud.com/find and see if you put in that Apple ID that is coming up and yoru password to see if you are able to sign into the account that way to turn it off. If you are unable to, you will have to contact AppleCare by phone (chat cannot handle account lock outs or forgotten password due to not being able to verify your identity) and see if they can reset it. And are you sure the Apple ID that is coming up yours?

Check your account details are correct including location, log out and back in again if necessary.

It never supported POP - you may have thought you'd set it up for that but you can't have.
Firstly, make sure your password is compliant with the requirements - change it if necessary at http://appleid.apple.com - make sure it has at leat 8 characters, one of which must be upper-case and one a numeral.
Then go to System Preferences>iCloud and click the 'Sign out' button. Then sign back in again with the new password: your iCloud data will disappear from your Mac when you sign out but will reappear when you sign back in. Your old email messages live on the server and won't be affected.
It would be a good idea to amend your signature to show your present system, to prevent confusion in any further questions you may ask. You can do this in your Profile>My products.

I'm sorry to hear that your iPhone isn't accepting your Apple ID username or password since you upgraded to iOS 6.
I suggest that you do the following to try and rectify the problem:
If you have been able to setup your iPhone since the upgrade;
1. Open the "Settings" app on the home screen.
2. Scroll down to "iTunes & App Stores" and open it.
3. Your Apple ID should be displayed at the top of the page. Tap your Apple ID.
4. It may ask you for your password, if so you see if you can see an option for "iForgot" and tap it.
5. Go through Apple's password recovery protocols.
If you can't setup your iPhone because iOS 6 is my accepting your Apple ID;
1. Go to a PC / Mac and open your web browser.
2. In the address bar, type in the following address: http://iforgot.apple.com
3. Go thorough Apples password recovery protocols.
If your still stuck;
1. Please check that the Apple ID (usually an email address) you are entering is correct. Make sure nothing is in capital letters that should be in lower case etc.
2. Make sure that the password you are entering is correct, including the case of the letters etc.
3. Go to iTunes and see what Apple ID your computer is signed into. Make sure it is the right one, especially if you have multiple iOS users in your house and have others using the same PC / Mac to sync their devices. Their is a chance that someone has logged into iTunes using their Apple ID and logged you out.

Since update, start up problems. Must push start button, must enter password several times, long wait times, must push start button again and enter password again.

Since update I have start up problems. Laptop seems to shut down.
Must push start button, then wait to enter password. Long wait time, then screen goes black and I must push start button again and enter password again. More long wait times. Startup each morning takes up to ten minutes.
I have 4GB Memory and 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 Processor.

Does it start up normally in safe mode?

ITunes 11.0.3 asks for password again and again, have re-done my credit card details, have changed my Apple ID password, tried to log in and out of iTunes, none of thos seem to work, just keeps happening without end, please help

I have tried to re-install iTunes 11.0.3 at least 6 times.
I have also downloaded iTunes 11.0.3 at least 5 times.
I have changed my Apple ID password.
I have downloaded (again, I've done that many times) iTunes 11.0.3, then I switched off the iMac, then restarted the wi-fi modem. Switched on the iMac, loaded iTunes, same problem.
I tried to just switch off the wi-fi, did the same as point above, same problem.
Even tried to change the system date to 2038, this only seemed (although I doubt it) to fix the "not responding" issue which I had this morning.
The Apple ID password issue, where it asks me for the password loads and loads of times (probably 50 times or more), one after the other has been happening for about 3 days now.

iTunes Problem, can't seem to find a solution online.
I am running OS X 10.8.3 on an iMac, have just loaded iTunes 11.0.3 a few days ago.
Firstly, I'd open iTunes and it would immediately say it was not responding, I'd have to force quit, try again, re-boot, try again etc. I tried re-installing iTunes, changing password, everything to no avail, then changed my date to 2038, and voila it started responding (no, don't ask me, I just read in online and was desperate enough to try it). Of course, I don't believe that this actually helped, I would like to know what did help or if there is something specific one needs to do to fix this.
I have not been able to get rid of this problem: Whenever I try to make a purchase it asks for my Apple ID password, dozens of times until I give up and press cancel, cancel, cancel.
Why does it do this? I don't want to purchase anything because I can't keep typing in my password again and again. I'm not exaggerating.
As I mentioned, I have tried to re-install iTunes, about 6 times, and I changed my password. I still get the same problem.
Also, my iTunes still looks like the classical iTunes and doesn't have the new interface.
Has anyone experienced this and was able to fix it, or does anyone know what the problem is? Please help, I'm at my wits end.

My crashing has seemed to have ceased with a revert to an older version. I noticed today that the newer crashing iTunes had been launched for hours but not playing anything, when I played internet radio it crashed within 5mins, fed up I reverted to an older version.
Btw, a simpler way to do this is to revert to older iTunes app, then hold Option when it launches and choose an older library.

I'm new to I-phones. Got one and guess I synced my hotmail account. Since then changed my hotmail password once and my i-phone locked until the new password was entered. Worked fine. Had to change my password again-won't accept it - locked phone-help!

I'll warn you I amd not I-phone savy at all...I don't know which I phone I have and am not near it at the moment to see what it says on the cover..got it in the fall of 2011. I guess I must have synced hot mail with it and now it's locked and I can't use my phone at all. I've reentered numerous times making sure that caps are caps, etc. Will attempt to reset hotmail password again and see if a new one will work. I was able to do this one time.

If you have set up an iCloud account you will see Delet Account at the bottom (see image below). If you don't, you haven't set up iCloud.

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.
You may have multiple entries.
Open Keychain Access in Utilities, enter the part after the @ sign in the search bar, hit enter

ADF security - prompt for user id and password again on page forward

I am working with ADF using JDeveloper 10.1.3 with Business Components and ADF Faces.
I have a Search page and a List page.
Both pages are based on the same view within the same application module.
The Search page is using the default Find and Execute Operations.
The Execute button has an action that navigate to the List screen.

My computer will not connect to a 'known' wi fi network, keep getting a message where prompts me to input the username and password again and again

I have a wi fi network in my house it has been working fine with no problems at all. I can afirm that because my iPhone connects as soon as I get home. But my Mac sometimes it will connect without any problems but sometimes it will require me to input the user name and password again and again.
