My ICal doesn't recognize my iCloud account.

It doesn't find the server. What can I do?
Thanks

I found the solution!!! Go to the system preferences in your Mac. Choose icloud. And... if you have the ical selected, turn it off and then turn it on again. The same with contacts and it will updated!
I hope you understand. My english is not the best. If you have any doubt, just write me. Regards.

    For the avoidance of doubt, have you added the account in iPhoto preferences.

    MobileMe has been discontinued for over 2 years now.  You'll need to find a new hosting server for your website.

  • ICal doesn't recognize Outlook invitess and Hotmail doesn't recognize iCal

    When I receive invitations from someone using Google calender, things seem to work great but when i get an invite from someone using Outlook, the .ics file shows up in the e-mail but not in iCal notifications, Wouldn't be a big deal but when the appointment gets moved, iCal doesn't recognize the change so I have to keep hunting down the original appointment, delete it and then drag and drop the new one. Rather a ridiculous pain.
    And, when I send an invitation to a client using Hotmail, there is nothing for him to open or accept.
    Help!

    Close All Open Apps...  Perform a Reset... Try again...
    Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

  • My iCal doesn't communicate with iCloud

    I have a new MacBook Air with Lion (purchased last week). iCal does not synch with my iCloud calendar. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks, M.

    Add your iCloud account to iCal
    iCal>Preferences>Accounts
    Then enable it

  • Site doesn't recognize my login account

    I just spent about 10 minutes logging in to this site. It kept asking me to create a new user account as soon as I logged in.
    I've used this same account for a couple of years, and this is the first time I've had problems (actually, I had problems yesterday, too).
    Is this an internal problem (me), or is it the site (them)?
    Thanks,
    Allan
    PS I'm not sure where to post this if it's an Apple Site problem. Perhaps I need to be redirected.

    Discussions Feedback might be a good place.
    In any case, certainly the site was playing up earlier. You're lucky to have got so far - I just got a "we'll be back later" type message!
    Seriously, there obviously was an issue earlier today/late yesterday (delete as your time zone demands) so I wouldn't conclude from that that there's any particular problem at your end. There were also reports of some people having trouble the day before (yesterday or the day before yesterday depending on time zone).

  • Siri doesn't recognize my email account

    My iphone 4s is set up with my work email account.  When I ask Siri to send an email she responds that there is no email account set up.  Any idea how to fix this issue?

    I have the same issue.  My email address in my profile is set to "work" yet when I ask Siri to "Send email to work," she says, "There's no work email address for <me>.  Would you like to use the <my work email address> instead?"
    Uhhh, yes, that's the email address I have designated as "work", Siri!
    Not sure why she's confused.

  • How come my Mac only shares 51 out of 500  photos from my iCloud account?

    My Mac doesn't recognize my iCloud account with the exception of 51 out of 500+ photos?  How can I connect everything to iCloud.  I have gone into my iCloud settings and that doesn't seem to work.

    If the contents that accumulated on the new phone while the spell of Alzheimer went away is not indispensable, perhaps the quickest way would be to reset and wipe the phone then reregister it to the original iCloud account so you would get all your old content/apps/etc. back.

  • How can i share ical with other iCloud accounts

    I have an iCloud account and use ical, my husband opened another iCloud account and i would like to share my ical with him on his iPhone

    Hey beachwhale,
    Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you want to share a calendar from iCloud with another user. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

  • Figuring out the correct icloud account

    We had to "clear"out our sons iphone 4 (which is not connected to service) because he forgot his password.  He's using it like an ipod.  When we did this and tried to set it up it is asking us to conncect to an icloud account - but we can't figure out which one.  None of our other 3 devices are set up to the one it's prompting us to nor will it recognize the icloud account that it was origanally linked to.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks Roger this is uncouraging. I went into my iDisk and I found two things. A folder called Istvan's site that opened to a folder called Blog to a file called rss.xml. This file would not open after I downloaded it. The other thing in the same location was a file called sites.rss that I was able to open. I'm hoping that is the one I need to change. Is it?
    The very start of the code has the channel and item tags like you mention in your instructions. Here it is:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <rss xmlns:admhp="http://www.apple.com/DotMac/Homepage" version="2.0">
    <channel>
    <title>i.am.istvan</title>
    <description></description>
    <link>http://web.mac.com/i.am.istvan/iWeb</link>
    <item>
    <title>Blog</title>
    If in fact this is the file I need to alter do I replace the three lines between the two tags with my new location? Or do I do something else? Why do I feel like I'm about to cut the wrong wire? Thanks Roger.

  • HT4863 i have Cox cable and all of a sudden my Icloud account won't send messages, only receive.  Doesn't recognize my smtp address. Any suggestions on setting up the smtp address?

    I have an Imacand Cox Cable. For some reason, recently, I cannot send email from my Icloud account, on;y receive. It says it is not connecting with my smtp.me.com account, but I haven't changed that from when it was working a few days ago. Any suggestions?

    You should check that your settings (both directions) match this:
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
    Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
    Port: 993
    Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    Password: Your iCloud password
    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
    Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
    Port: 587
    SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
    Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    Password: Your iCloud password
    Note: If you receive errors using SSL, try using TLS instead.
    Your signature says you have 10.6.8 - is this correct? If you migrated from MobileMe using this your mail settings won't be correct and you will need to follow this procedure to re-enter them:
    Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard

  • Does anyone else have two Apple IDs? I can't get rid of one of them. It's associated with my iCloud account and I can't fix it. The password doesn't work.

    So, apparently I have two Apple IDs associated with my iPhone. One is an old aol address that got hacked and was shut down. Even aol doesn't recognize the email address anymore, and the password doesn't work. It's associated with my iCloud account, so now I can't access that account. My other Apple ID is with everything associated with my iPhone and everything works just fine. But now I can't get to my iCloud stuff. Has this ever happened to anyone else. The guy at the Apple store says he's never heard of it.

    Does the alert refer to "Local Items?"

  • Subscribed to iTunes Match with iTunes ID but iPad iCloud uses MobileMe and doesn't recognize iTunes subscription.  Help?

    When I subscribed to Match this morning iTunes used the account I set up ages ago.  When I set up iCloud on the iPad it pushed me to the MobileMe account but now the iPad doesn't recognize the iTunes Match subscription but it does exist on the AppleTV since I set that up independently.  Is there a way to Match MobileMe ID and iTunes ID so they know they go/come from the same place?

    Until Apple allow us to merge Apple IDs, no.
    But if you go to Settings / Store on the iPad and change the Apple ID there to the one you used for Match, everything should work.  Essentially it means your iPad will use one ID for iCloud, and one for the iTunes store, but they're kept separate, so everything should be fine...
