My ical events showing up as "new events" on my ipad and iphone when synced with exchange?

I am running exchange 2010 and have my macbook, iPad and iPhone syncing to exchange. I noticed that lately after my lion upgrade it is changing the ical meeting events that I create on my macbook show up on my iPad and iPhone as "new events". All of the information entered into the event is gone. This is really frustrating and is starting to become a problem. I need to find a solution soon. Has anyone else experienced this issue or resolved this issue?

Maybe a fix in the works?

Hi I have a IPad and iPhone in sync with my iTunes on my PC. I'm soon to be getting a 5 so the wife will be having my 4. Is there away I can download a new iTunes library to my pc and open each library separate when I plug in that device?

1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it.

Why when I enter a birthday in Contacts does it show up as different date on my iPad and iPhone 4?

I enter a birthday in Contacts on my MacBook Pro and it shows up correctly in iCloud but on my iPad and iPhone it showsa up as another date - either before or after the actual date??? Any clues?

Not sure if your problem is solved, if not try this which worked for me:
(1) If your iPad/phone is syncing contacts with iCloud, turn it off. In Settings on your iPad/phone, Mail,Contacts,Calendars, Accounts, iCloud, turn off Contacts.
(2) sync your iPad/phone to iTunes.
(3) now select the ‘Info’ tab in iTunes for your iPad/iPhone. Ensure that ‘Sync Address Book Contacts’ is ticked. (You can revert to syncing with iCloud later, after this process is complete.)
(4) scroll to the very bottom section of the Info tab. Where it says ‘Replace information on this iPad/iPhone’, select ‘Contacts’.
(5) Sync again.
Now check Calendars on iPad/iPhone, this process ‘fixes’ the information of birth dates and they should now appear correctly.

Itunes will not add new material to my iPad and iPhone

I have gotten a new imac and I am in the process of trying to reset up my ipad, and iphone. I cannot seem to add new content to either of these. I tell itunes to add certain pictures or music files, but it is not adding them onto either. I have had to restore factory setting to get the ipod up and running.

Some people have reported exactly the same thing and the culprit appeared to be itunes Match. Some people wait for it to resolve itself >1day or othere switch off itunes match and re-import

iCloud should not cause duplicate entries in Calendars unless you are syncing using iTunes as well as Wi-Fi. No need for both.

HT1386 After installing iOS 6 on my New iPad and trying to sync with iTunes on my iMac I get the message "Unable to sync; unknown error (1140)". Restarting iMac and iPad did not help! What to do?

I installed iOs 6 on my New iPad. After that every time I try to synchronize the New iPad with my iMac I get the message: "This iPad can not be synchronized; an unknown error (1140)".

Contact Groups not showing up on Iphone when syncing with Mobileme

My contacts show up in my address book on my Iphone but when I go to look at my groups the page is blank and I cannot get back to my contacts without closing and reopening contacts but still no groups. I want my groups to show up. I have at least 4 groups that show up on my me, and syncs fine with ipad....

I am having a similar issue. As is my wife. I also believe that it is a bug in the current iOS on the CDMA iPhone 4.
It is just as you described, and I have to close Contacts completely in order to restore my access to the contacts list. And, like you, our groups show up just fine on our iPads (within minutes of making changes, as we sync over MobileMe).
It doesn't appear to be a letter-case issue, as at least my login is in all lowercase letters.
I sure hope that this is fixed in an iOS update soon! It's rather problematic for those of use who use their iPhones for business purposes.

How do i keep my apps and data when syncing with a new laptop?

My last laptop died so i have got a new one.
How can i make sure all my apps,data and music on my Ipod Touch are not deleted when i get round to installing Itunes?

Unless you can get the iPod backup file (and restore the iPod from that file on your new computer) from the "dead" computer you will lose all the app data you can export via email.
- Yu can trabsfer iTnes purchases from the iPod by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- You can transfer non-itunes purchased music to the new computer by using one of the third-party programs discussed in this previous discussion.
Best iPod to PC
- After you move the stuff to the new computer, either restore the iPod from the backup, or if no backup, restore to factory defaults,new iPod and sync.

Neither my ipad nor iphone will sync with itunes on my pc. it says i need a newer version of itunes but when i download the latest version i get the same message.

I can't get my iPhone 4s or my iPad 2 to sync with itunes on my pc. My very ancient ipod nano works fine. I get told that the version of itunes is too old. I have tried on 3 occasions to download the update, and while it doesn't say there has been a problem with the download I continue to get the same message. I do get a warning that itunes is not properly installed and that i won't be able to burn cds. I have tried uninstalling itunes completely and reinstalling but that doesn't work either.

Have you run windows update? That could prevent iTunes from properly installing. Also, try with your antiVirus and firewall disabled. What version of Windows are you running?
OS X is the operating system on the Mac.

IPad calendar problems when syncing with new operating system

I downloaded iOS snow leopard to my computer and then when I performed a sync with my IPAD the calendar got messed up with several old appointments and things cluttering it up. Is there a way to revert back to what I had before I performed the sync?

You should see if you have a backup of your device in iTunes. If you do, you can restore from that backup and get the correct information as it was at that time back onto your iPad. This article can help explain a little about restoring from a backup:

I had an Apple account on my old Lap Top to which my iPad and iPhone were syncd. I now have a new Lap Top and when I tried to access my apple ID on it I was asked to sign up for a new account. I can't use any of them.

I am puzzled by this. The laptop doesn't need the Apple ID - but iTunes does. I could be missing something but ....
Why would you not be able to use your existing Apple ID and iTunes account on a new laptop? If you authorized the computer - you should be able to use your existing account - unless you already had 5 computers authorized with the existing ID - and that was why iTunes would not accept the ID. However, I'm sure that you would have received a popup message from iTunes telling you that you had reached the limit.
I just received a new MBP and my daughter did as well. My entire family shares an Apple ID and we had no issues at all with my Apple ID and iTunes on our new computers and I did not have to sign up for a new account. Did you even try the old ID?

I'm having trouble with "maps" on Macbook Pro, iPad and iPhone. It shows my current location and hour away from where I am. As soon as a move iPhone away from my wifi at home to cellular it shows my correct location. No help from Time Warner.

What can I do to get "maps" to work on my Macbook Pro, iPad and iPhone when connected to wifi at home. iPhone "maps" work fine when connected to cellular service. Maps on wifi shows me about 55 minutes away from my current location. Very frustrating. I called Time Warne,r my service provider, but they had no answers since they were not knowledgeable of this situation. Anyone else having problem? I just updated all devices to newest update. Is that the problem.

Did you bring your wireless router with you? If so, it's possible the iPad is getting its location through the router and the router still "thinks" it's where you used to live.
Try taking your iPad to another location where there is wifi (such as a coffee shop). Then, try an app that uses location services. If it's accurate at another location, then the source of your problem is your router.
