I have mobile me and am new to ical, when it syncs to my iphone, it seems to only sync my events and not my to do lists! is this the way it is, or am I missing a setting?

  • Palm T|X and ical wont sync.

My Palm T|X and ical wont sync. I never had this problem with 10.4, but now that I am running 10.5.1 everything else syncs fine, except ical. I have reinstalled Palm Desktop and reset my conduit per Palm's recommendations, but still no luck. Any suggestions?

I have a palm tungsten E2 and I was able to sync with ical using Tiger and Palm's own hotsync feature, but not with Leopard. Check out markspace.com. They have a beta version that is the missing link. I am nervous to try a beta. I'm hoping that Apple will get their isync worked out.

  • Since upgrading to Maverick Ical wont sync on ipad and iphone 4

iCal (7.0) wont sync with iPad (7.1) or iPhone (7.1) since upgrading to Maverick (10.9.2). I noticed iTunes (11.1.5) no longer has the 'info' tab I used to go to for settings. How do I sync my Mac, iPad and iPhone with iCal and Address book?

For some of us, the additional problem is that once you give in and go iCloud, no rep will tell you there are iCloud limits on iCal's size, so that if you're calendar is say 10 years old, with 10 events per day, and there's a 25K event limit, it won't work, even if you buy all the storage in the world. Which means that's syncing is OVER.
So far I've tried three alt calendars: Fantastical (rated one of the top iCal alts); Pocket Informant (allegedly capable of superpowers); and Calendars. Not a single one is able to do the one simple task of
    1) integrating an ical ics file,
    2) placing a calendar program on the desktop and the iPhone
    3) keeping them both in sync.
This is really getting to annoy me. Chelsea, a tech support supervisor, offered that if I pay $99/year I can become a developer and get the next beta iTunes which will allegedly offer local syncing. Great.

  • Ical wont sync with phone

I can put stuff on my phone and I can't get it to my computer. but i can put stuff on my Ical and it goes to my phone. I have sync multiple times and get nothing

this what i did, i think i fixed it
if you've been having problems entering calendar events on your iphone and not having them show up on iCal after sync, or sometimes even disappearing, try this:
    * I noticed a weird tendency for the iphone to try to add new entries into a read only calendars (subscribed calendars, birthday calendars) during a sync, as those calendars cannot be modified, iphone entries won't show on ical.
this is how i fixed it:
I want iPhone calendar to show all my iCal events too, but to make it work you gotta follow those steps,
    1. make sure you keep a record of all your iphone entries as they will be removed.
    2. in ituens select sync with selected calendars, un-select all read only / birthday calendars.
    3. Sync your iphone,
    4. go to Ical and drag all read only/birthday calendars to the top. (having them by the bottom will keep the problem)
    5. choose that iphone entries sync with the bottom calendar on your iCal list.
    6. you can enable all Calendar sync in itunes of like,
    7. try to enter something on your iphone and sync, it should work,
so as long as you have your read only calendars on top of the list in iCal and the iphone entries are syncing with the most bottom Calendar on iCal. you should be OK until apple fixes this bug.

  • ICal wont sync from iPod to macbook pro.

  • Ical wont sync

So I noticed recently that even though I'm updating iCal with new events, they aren't transfering over to my phone. I've tried resetting isync, basically everything short of a restore. I've looked but can't find anything quite like this. Anyone have any ideas?

This is a complicated, multifaceted issues but the executive summary is this: synchronization between a Palm device and any Macintosh desktop or portable computer under Mac OS X 10.5 or later, using iSync 3 or later and the iSync Palm Conduit, does not work properly.
It may be some time before the several issues involved are resolved, so I recommend that you take a look at the far more flexible and powerful Missing Sync for Palm OS from Mark/Space. While the release I pointed to is not yet certified for use with Mac OS X 10.5 or later, a compatible nearly ready for prime-time beta release—currently release 6.0.2b7—is available here.

  • Ical wont sync w .mac

I get an "inconsistancy" error w ical & .mac.I have no idea what this is or how to correct !!

OK, I was having this problem, but I have got it resolved now. First, when you say "this is the only data you have," what do you mean? You should have at least two sets, one on your computer and one on .Mac. If this is the case, the solution is to go to the .Mac preferences, go to advanced, select "Reset Sync data...", select that you want to go from the good source (your computer) to the bad (.Mac). Click OK, let it Sync, and you're done.

  • ICal wont sync due to inconsistent data

I get an error message saying... Calendars could not be synced due to inconsistent date. Confirm that your computers data is valid *+(not sure how to do this)+* then reset Calendars on .Mac in system preferences. *+( I have done this and had no luck)+*
I have also gone into isync and reset my sysc history and then re-synced... having all my computer data be replaced by the .Mac data. i get the same error.
I have 3 machines that should all be synced. I have just done a clean install on all machines in the following order:
a mac mini, a Powermac G5, and my Macbook. The macbook is the problem machine. the other 2 systems are synced perfectly.
    Any advice?

    Dude,
    Thanks!!!
I did two clean installations on my 2 MBPs to leopard starting Friday night and Finishing tonight. I opted to not migrate data because I wanted to leave all my messy Tiger stuff and start again.
My first MPB must be the dominant one on .Mac because
MBP-2 >> .Mac >> MPB-1 didn't work .. if it weren't for your reply I wouldn't have tried the other way around and would have just given up until next weekend.
    Thanks.

  • ICal not syncing, mobileme still listed, unable to add icloud in ical.

Just bought iPhone 4S, latest Lion upgrades on Mac Air laptop. iCal in Air laptop still has mobile me account. When I try to add iCloud as an account on the Air iCal, it indicates iCal is already setup for iCloud. My iPhone does not show any iCal entries, but it has downloaded all my contacts successfully. Any suggestions? I can't tell which side is broken.

When I try to add iCloud as an account on the Air iCal, it indicates iCal is already setup for iCloud.
    Check System Preferences > iCloud
    Make sure Calendars is selected.

  • My calendar "all from my Mac" on my iphone wont sync with my ical

I have my iphone calender under "all from my mac" however it wont sync with my ical. I have noticed the only calender on my ical is from my icloud. Unfortunately all my calender enteires on my iphone are not under that. Wondering what the easiest way to sync this is.
when I click hide calender and hide the "all from my mac" all my calender entries disappear.

    Try this:
    1. Make a backup ( a) Time Machine, b) Export > Archive iCal. Close iCal)
    2. In Finder hold down alt-Key while choosing "Go to..." menu
    3. Select Library
    4. In the folder Calendar delete the files
    Calendar Sync Changes
    Calendar Cache
    5. In the folder Preferences delete the files
    com.apple.CalendarAgent.plist
    com.apple.iCal.helper.plist
    com.apple.iCal.plist
    com.apple.iCalExternalSync.plist
    com.apple.syncserver.plist
(not sure which one is the bad guy, but it did not hurt to erase all of them)
    6. Start iCal, it will update itself.
    HTH, Patric

  • Ipod isnt recognized by itunes software when plugged in! Wont sync library

recently purchased an HP Pavilion laptop--loaded my ipod software onto it--i already had done the same with my desktop 3 years ago and everything worked fine. Software loaded fine-no probs, but when I brought ipod up--i can access library but not songs on ipod(greyed out). From my desktop I backed up my song list and was able to successfully put it in laptop--but it still wont let me access my ipod when its plugged in, it wont sync any new music from library, or that I imported!(new music that I import goes into library though) The only thing that was weird after i put the software onto my laptop--it wasn't my library that came up--so i deleted the 10 songs that were on there and then downloaded my music into it which worked fine--but I can't read anything on my ipod--steps I've taken so far are to 1-install latest version of itunes, restart ipod, authorize use of computer (which said now 2 of 5 computers were authorized)...any suggestions????pretty please

Yes, the list on my computer of what is in my iPod library is grey, not black font. I tried "manual" but it will not allow me to drag anything to the iPod. Not even newly purchased music.
That certainly sounds like one of the Automatic syncing options has been engaged.
... quickly doublechecking, just in case. After selecting "Manually manage ..." in the device tab for the iPod in iTunes, did you click "Apply"?

  • I have a ipod touch 5g. The music wont sync from my computer to it and music downloaded on my ipod won't synce to my computer. How do I fix it?

I have a ipod touch 5g. The music wont sync from my computer to it and music downloaded on my ipod won't synce to my computer. How do I fix it?

Only iTunes purchased music can hava a cloud icon and then only if the music was purchased with the account listed in Settings>iTunes and App Store on the iPod.
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Does any media now sync to the iPod?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
