My iCloud Alias does not send e-mails... Help!
I can see them in the sent folder but they're not received =S
I took away the .com that had my alias "full name" and worked! I guess the name can not end with .com... Tks for traying to help!

My macbook pro with OS 10.6.7 'mail' program does not send my mail through the IPS wireless, I am connected to. The message is my 'e-mail is rejected by the server'. It has been working until 5 days ago. The connection doctor says I am connected and no log in required.
After trying lots I found now in 'Airport Utility is 'unable to detect any airport wireless devises.....'
There is no provider to be seen in airport utility and only 'rescan' is an option with no results...
even so I am connected and can browse the net receive mail etc. and the outgoing 'mail server' is set to the internet provider I am connected to.

Thanks for your helpI'm not sure what "IPS wireless" is, but unless you have an Apple Wi-Fi base station (such as a Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme, or AirPort Express), AirPort Utility won't see anything.
You might try defining a new SMTP server to see if that will work any better.
By the way, the subject field for these messages isn't intended to hold a lot of text. Put a short description of your problem in the subject field and save the rest of your message for the body field. -
Outlook 2013 does not send / receive mails but connected to Exchange server

Outlook 2013 displays connected message but when compose and send a mail, the message hangs for more than an hour. Yes if I restart the outlook, the message is sent. Otherwise the message will lag for hours. Even I am not able to receive it.
The problem is not faced by OWA. Outlook Web App works perfectly. But Microsoft Outlook 2013 not working perfectly. Folks I need help to close the case with customer.

From your description, OWA works well, the issue is related to Outlook side. In your case, I recommend you use Outlook safe mode to determine whether the issue is related to add-ins. If the issue persists, please create a new profile to check the result.
Besides, make sure that you install the latest Outlook 2013 Service Pack.

Mail does not send out mail / builds loads of drafts of the same message
The problem described above I had for quite a while. Mail I send disappeared and I could find them back in the outbox under prefs/mail/outbox the outbox in mail.app was empty. Having to check your send items every time you have sen out an email is not an option :P
This made me follow a tip I found here to delete mail folder and the .plist files restart my MBP and reopen mail and let everything be restored from me.com
Unfortunately after a week problems are reoccurring.No Mobile me works fine. And with fine I mean the problems with Mail.app are related to mobile me or leopard.
With leopard; mail got to do and task witch are only half implemented, adding a note to a task can only be done in calender.
Mobile me; sins the change of .mac to me I have been having issues
Unfortunately leopart and then especially mail and mobile me are both buggy.
Hope this will be addressed and throughout tested with a next update. -
Reset icloud password does not send email
iCloud is refusing to recognize me for Web sign-in although I am receiving and sending email using Apple Mail on both my Macbook Pro and iPad. I have tried to reset the password, it says an email has been sent, but no email ever arrives.
Contact Apple for assistance resetting your password by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password. The call should be free but you will need your serial number to set it up, which you will find in Settings>General>About on your iOS device.

My Mail Programm does not send e-mails in switzerland

I use the program mail for sending my emails. It all works very well, but just in Germany. In Switzerland it is possible to get emails, but not to send them. It allways says that the mails cant be sended by the smtp server. When i get back to germany there is no problem. it works without changing anything. i really don`t know what i can do.. I think it is not a problem of the internet company, but perhaps of the router, or the wlan modem. it is possible to send other things, in iweb for example... perhaps you have a tipp how i can send emails...

The file format used by the iOS versions of the iWork apps can only be read by the new iWork apps on your Mac - i.e. Keynote 6, Pages 5 & Numbers 3. Those versions for the Mac require Mavericks, OS X 10.9. The "too old" error on a Mac comes if you are trying to open an iWork '08 or earlier file in the newest apps. If you do have the newest apps you can open the files from your iPad.
If you can't or don't want to upgrade to Mavericks & the newest iWork apps your best option would be to export/share the files from the iPad to a type an older version of iWork can read such as Word, text, Excel, etc.
Or contact AppleCare. They made this mess, let them fix it. -

This is happening only when CAPABILITY command is sent follwed by LOGIN command. Please check this issue.If you want your mail delivered properly the Official Host Name of the sending server should match the PTR (reverse DNS) of the sending IP Address, and there should be an "A" record that matches the OHN as well.
Example:
mail.yourdomain.com (Official Host Name) on 123.123.123.123
PTR for 123.123.123.123 should match mail.yourdomain.com
There should be an A record in yourdomain.com pointing to 123.123.123.123

Why can I not send e-mails from my e-mail account? I can receive e-mails. It is not an iCloud account it is a Bell Aliant account. An account I pay for.
This is the second time in three months this has occurred. Bell Aliant suggested I contact Apple directly as the only option is to remove my e-mail account and reconfigure it. This will mean losing all my files. These files are very important as my account is a business account.
Bell Aliant thought perhaps it is an Apple problem and that Apple may better be able to remedy the situation without me losing my e-mail files.Sorry ?
An Internet email provider losses all your Mail and it's Apple's fault ??
Did they explain how the app managed to delete all of your mail and then not even let you have access ?
If that was the case the app should still be able to access the empty folders.
I know there is often blame and counter blame in these situations but there are limits.

Once I send my email on icloud, it does not show up on my mail client or on icloud. How can I retrieve an email sent this way?
SADLY not as i downloaded an upgrad to my original PAGES/
i have in the meantim had to open www.icloud. then from there import the file that i am working on and then check on ipad if it uploaded/ yes it did.
but what a waste of time as it doesn not save any changes done automatically back in the cloud....
i am now downloading the new LION and hope that it will fix the problem
i cant find any other way. I was lead to believe that you wrote, it saved automatically, on to the cloud, you then opened anohter device in anotother country even, and the new file was there, waiting, in its latest version.......
and the same magic was supposed to happen in reverse.

if i have to open a browser, go to www.icloud....why on earth did they not just leave us an icon to drop it in in that case?

User created apple id account, verified but know she is unable to log on, it says incorrect password, she tried to reset via forgot password option but it does not send reset password page to here e- mail address, how can i get this sorted? or how can i get her whole apple account deleted and created new one using same e - mail address?
The idea to jumpstart by change was not the smartest one, but gives you an opportunity to use that "temporary" account as permanent. You do not have a choice cause obviously despite you thinking that old account is no more -it does exist on Apple servers. And if you are unwilling to share your [email protected] with friend, just create one extra [email protected] for your friend. One suggestion - do not use gmail.

My problem is simply that Mail does not send email.
I have just migrated from iMac G5 to iMac Intel by using Migration Assistant. Everything else works just fine and I can receive email. However, if I try to reply, forward or send a new email message, Mail just does not do anything - no error message, nothing.
The fixes I have tried so far are removing the Mail plist file, repairing disk permissions and mailboxes. Of course, I have checked the account settings, especially outgoing server settings. I also reinstalled Mail application with Pacifist. None of this has solved the problem. I have tried sending email with Thunderbird and it works with no problems.
Does anybody have any suggestions how to fix this issue?
The OS is 10.4.8, Mail Version 2.0.6 (749.2/752.3), all the suggested software updates done.

It certainly cannot fix anything that could be wrong within your home folder or at the server or with the network, and may even introduce new issues if not done properly. The above won’t solve the problem. It’s just to ensure that you’ve properly reinstalled Mail, which you shouldn’t have done, and which apparently you didn’t do properly -- the version of Mail on your system should be 2.1.1, not 2.0.6.

Is Exchange 2013 server added in the firewall rule to send communication over port 25?
Do you have use Front end proxy checkbox checked on the Send connector to internet that was created on 2013 (if created)?
If use front end proxy checkbox is checked, then you need to add permissions for your CAS server's IP in the Firewall for outbound port 25 rule. As it appears that the mail is originating from CAS to the firewall. If that checkbox is not checked, we need
to add the Mailbox server's IP on the outbound rule for port 25. -

Edit > Attachments
and check "Include original attachments in reply" in Mail's menu.
