My icloud backups wont pop up

ok.  so, here's my problem. i nearly broke my ipod's screen (ipod touch 4th gen) i cant use the screen itself because the touch sensor or something is broke. my charge or sync cable does not let me sync to my computer... so i went to my friend's house and used his cord and laptop. my goal was to retrieve my music, pictures, videos, and other personal info off of the ipod and onto a flash drive. sadly. i put a passcode on the unlock screen and could not sync this way either. i searched all over the internet looking for some back door way to access my files and retrive them, but i had no luck. and i went with the last resort. recovery mode........ oh my god. it took nearly 2 hours and now when i finally got to sync it, i signed into my apple id. but my old icloud backups arent there, like i never made a backup before, i know i havent made one on this computer, but come on, i had probably 20 or 30 icloud backups, and none will show, so currently. my ipod is wiped clean, and im rediculously mad beyond belief because i doubt i can get my thousands of items back (files). pleeeeaaasssseee help before i break this thing for good.

Are you using the same iCloud account/ID as before (Settings>iCloud)
How are you looking for the iCloud backups? You can only do that by signing the iOS device in the account (Settings>iCloud) adn then going to Settings>iCloud>Storage and backup and looking for the backups.
You can restore another iOS device from that backup
