My ICloud menu in Preferences is locked up. I've tried shutting down and it will not let me shut down. Help!
My IMac is locked up with the ICloud Menu in Preferences and will not let me shut it down. I've tried turning the computer off and it still is there when it opens back up. Help
You can backup your data without a passcode, just right click on the iPhone and select backup.

I have just received a new iphone 5s and need to set the Apple ID with my work email. I used my work email on my personal iphone 4s to set up an icloud account and it will not let me use this email as the Apple ID on my new iphone. As it is a work phone I need to use this email address as my Apple ID. How do I do this?
when you open the app store scroll down to the bottom it will display the apple id currently in use, change it to your normal apple id email

My iPad is locked and it says to connect to iTunes, and iTunes will not let ,me connect.
Try this:
1. Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off
2. Set the date ahead by a few months
3. You should then be able to connect to the store -

Need help... getting an error message "not enough storage" for icloud and it will not let me get passed the message
See if this helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
The address bar in firefox will not let me use down arrow in menu boxes or in the url bar. Usually if I click on the down arrow in the url bar, my most common websites pop up... now it won't show me them...
It is also happening in any website I use via Fire fox. I don't have this problem with windows or Internet Explorer. Even the down arrow box below this.. asking "this happened" won't let me see the choices.. it just flashes by.Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing": Tools > Options > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: History,Bookmarks,History and Bookmarks
See [[Smart Location Bar]] -
We got a new email address, and it appears that we successfully changed/updated our itunes/icloud account. When we work from our PC everything looks changed, and is obviously reading from our devices. However, all of our devices still show our old email address as the itunes store/icloud account and none of our devices will let us change this. It keeps asking us to sign in with our old Apple ID, but it won't let us sign in. We've tried multiple passwords and have tried to reset it, but that is not working either. Now, its cycling and keeps popping up...won't let us get to any other screen unless we shut off.
I read the support questions and it said to make sure "find my phone" is shut down, but we can't even do that without a password. Very frustrating. Can anyone help?To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

How do I permanently shut off icloud from my macbook pro. Safari will not let me shut down
I have a macbook pro 2008 with operating system Maverick. Today I was asked to join i cloud. I do not want to join i cloud. I just want to keep my computer as it is with the new operating system. It seems I now joined I cloud and cannot shut down Safari unless i sign up for all of the uses of icloud. Please advise me how to get out of all of this and just go back to my previous set up. What can I do to get rid of ICloud and shut down my computer (Safari)?
You can shut off iCloud in System Preferences.
If Safari seems hung, click the Apple icon, then Force Quit. If it says Not Responding next to Safari force quit it. -
I changed my email and password on my apple account. But iCloud won't change the information and will not allow me to make the change
To change the iCloud ID on your iOS devices, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save these to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll). -

It only has gray letters when I try to change my apple id iin my icloud user settings. How can I change my apple id to my new email address and password? My old one was hacked.
Yes, but if you delete the iCloud account and start again, don't you have to wait 90 days for everything to start syncing?? I've been having this problem for months and no one seems to be able to figure it out. I used to have one Apple ID (which was not an email address) and then when iOS came along....and iCloud, they force you to use your email address as ID ....which actually sets up a SECOND Apple ID. I have a Mac, iPad, iPod touch and iPhone. the Apple techs tried to delete the iCloud accounts so that they all said the same thing (email address ID) but then I had to wait 90 days. the 90 days just passed and nothing is automatically syncing yet. I still think there are 2 accounts but if I delete all again.....it's going to be another 90 days (for security reasons, I was told). This is a real pain in the butt.

My ipod is locked ause i put an app on and it will not unlock
i have ilock on my ipod and it will not unlock what should i do
Connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore via iTunes. If iTunes asks for the passecode and you can't enter the passcode or if you do not have the syncing computer, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode see:
