Pages for iCloud beta won't load on my MacBook Air
For about two weeks now I have not been able to open Pages for iCloud beta on my MBAir - I can open keynote and numbers beta - they load in about 2 seconds. Pages beta was slow - the average load tiime was 65 seconds...now it I just get a spinning wheel - the longest I experimented was 11 minutes and it sitll did not load. Every few days I try it again. Fortunately I can get my iCloud docs by loading my regular Pages and command-open and it I get a template asking if I want docs on my computer or in iCloud - everything loads there in a nanosecond. But the Beta is dead for me.
Pages is now working on my MacBook Air! It is much improved from the last time I was able to load - still not perfect as it is still in beta mode, but great!...I created a multimedia document on my iPhone and once again, decided to fire up the Pages beta on my MBAir.. et voilà ! it loaded in just a few seconds and there were all my documents, including the one just created! YAY!
Still needs the facility to edit anchored objects [a photo this time] - but says that is coming!

trying to connect to wireless at work, but the password won't work.... i try'd the same password on ipod... works fine... also i can use wireless at home... no prob....
any ideas?Powerbook G4, you may have a wireless card that is too old and doesn't support newer encryptions schemes like WPA or WPA2. What are you using as your wireless encryption algorithm at home?
Per my profile, you can see that I have a computer designed and manufactured eight years ago. It uses an old 802.11 "Airport" card; not "Airport Extreme" as does my Mac Pro. It doesn't do WPA or WPA2. If the wireless access point (WAP) at work is using those, you'll be prompted for a WEP password because your computer doesn't know any better. But it won't work.
So first thing you need to do is find out what does the WAP use. Next thing you need to do is go into your System profiler and see what kind of Airport card your Powerbook has.
If it's not an "Extreme" or "Express" or whatever, just a plain ol' "Airport" card, then you are SOL trying to use that to connect to your work's WAP if they are using WPA or WPA2. There are some USB wireless thingies that you can plug in to an available USB port and you can use that to access the work (and home) networks. I know that BDAqua has previously posted a URL or three that point to some inexpensive USB 802.11 transceivers that you could use on your Powerbook.
As a side note, if this is indeed the case for your situation, this would also imply that you are probably using an inferior (as in hacked/cracked) wireless encryption protocol at home. Once you get a WPA2-capable USB thingy, get in to your router's wireless setup and change it to WPA2-PSK-AES. -

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you updated your Apple Id and password but now you are being prompted for the old information in iCloud. You are on the right track by changing the Apple ID back to the previous email address temporarily so that you can sign out. You should not need to verify the email address. After you edit the Apple ID back to the old email address and then sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, edit the Apple ID back to the address you would currently like to use. There is no need to change the password again, only the email address, unless you prefer to update the password again.

Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Sign Out, then tap Sign Out to confirm. If you're using iOS 7 or earlier, tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap Keep on My [Device] or Delete from My [Device]. In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

I can not remember my icloud password. I would like to recover it but the difficulty is my apple id and icloud have different passwords and the links for recovery all work only to change my apple id password. SO how do I recover the icloud password?
An Apple ID is used for everything (including this site) and including iCloud. See the quote below from https://appleid.apple.com/

I'm sorry, as I keep saying... in MAIL I get the message that it cannot cannot to server!? Did you read the initial problem at all! I know exactly where mail is, although, the diagram was wonderful.
My problem is TWO FOLD.
The MAIL app doesn't work with iCloud but does work with my POP3 email for my office.
Second problem is the iCloud on Safari doesn't work as I get the error message as the screenshot above.
There is NO reason why the @me.com email shouldn't work through the iCloud site, as you can see, there is a also a Mail icon. -

You will have to do more than simply changing settings in your moms account. To set up everything in your own account, go to Settings > iCloud > scroll down and press sign out. Before you set that up, you will have to make a new iCould account which you can simply do after you sign out of your mom's account on your devices.

On the MBPro, open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect Bookmarks then reselect.
See if that made a difference.

On any Mac that has a MicroSD slot, one can add up to 128 GB of inexpensive portable storage using the following options that cost less than $100. This is cost-effective alternative to upgrading the internal SSD on a MacBook Air for $200 to $315. One can use multiple microSD card to multiply the storage they carry with them.
Time Machine does not backup these microSD cards so using an alternative backup program, such as Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper! would be prudent. One could partition their Time Machine backup drive(s) with 64 or 128 GB partitions (one per microSD card) so another backup hard drive is not needed.

If you don't need the changes saved then you can force quit the word app. On the menubar, cick the > Force quit > select word.

Nothing you can do. This is the anti-theft protection on the iPhone. You cannot restore that phone if you don't know the AppleID and password used to set it up. No way arounds this.

Just user to user....based on past and current history, Adobe Tech Support is not going to help you with a technical issue which is preventing you from using your purchased serial number for Photoshop Elements. Version 12 is not the current version. And, the Adobe Tech Support is limited even for the current version which is 13. If this matter involves a purchased activated serial number trapped on a crashed computer while you are trying to install on a 3rd computer, then probably Adobe Chat Activation can be of assistance. I recently updated my itunes/istore id. Now my ipod touch won't recongized the id for the cloud. It works fine for the rest of the ipod but my old id (email) is still on for the cloud how do I change so all is the same. BTW the passwords old and new won't work with the old id... Should I put it back in?
