My iCloud says it can't backup

Evertime we unlock iPad an iCloud message comes up and says it can't back up due to not enough space. I plugged it in to laptop and did a back up on there but still doing the same thing

Go to settings - icloud - storage and backup and turn off icloud backup. Remember to backup to computer from that point. Not that you will, everybody forgets.

    My iphone won't verify my account even though I did it thru the email confirmation as instructed. I can't verify my i cloud account on my phone, it just keeps spinning saying it is trying to verify the acct, so I can't backup my phone info. I can't restore my current phone info to my new iphone until I get the original iphone backed up. Everything online seems to be setup and working, but my phone still won;t recognize the account. Should I delete the accoutn on my phone an dstart again? Will I loose all my info in my Itunes account?  Please help!!! This is driving my crazy!!!

  • TS4002 I subscribed to serveral communities for email.  I have over a thousand emails,  now the mail box in icloud says I can't open my mail account.  I have ML . I have been deleting little by little, can I delete it all?

    I have tried deleteing all the mail, by selecting all to erase. I have done 5 at a time, 10 at a time by zooming out. Now I can not get into the mail box. I was sent a message saying I am not able to acess my mail. It is a me.com acct. I have 40gb of storage. Any suggestions of how to get rid of this mail?     An Alias would be an email address that is delivered to a different account's inbox.
    For instance if you have  [email protected] and have [email protected] Then [email protected] would be an alias if mails from that address arrive at the icloud address.
    If you want to add a completely different account, with a spearate inbox, like an account in hotmail and one in say yahoo mail. Then as has been pointed out, you need to go into the  Settings Icon, Tap on Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and then on add account. The iPad has several services preconfigured, you can tap on one of those from the list to setup an email for that service. Such as Hotmail, Gmail etc...
    Or you can tap on other to add a personal pop3 or imap type email like from your office, or your school.

    I got a new iPhone 6 and set it up with my regular Apple ID, which I also used on the old iPhone 5. Everything seemed to go well, applications, settings and contacts were installed on the new iPhone. After checking that everything works just fine I erased all data and setting on the old iPhone, because I'll have to return it to the carrier. So far so good.
    A day later I started noticing that about 25% of my contacts have just disappeared, they are gone on all devices connected to iCloud (Mac, iPad and the new iPhone). Since they are also gone from apple.com/iCloud I guess they have vaporized for good.
    I have an older iTunes backup, which probably still has those contacts, I am just afraid that I will get a total mess of touble contacts and God know what else will be messed up. Any recommendations how to recover those contacts?

    Did you log into iCloud to see if all of the contacts were there? If they do not exist in the iCloud online, then they must not have synced correctly from the old device. Did you log in with the same iCloud account? You say you tried all of the troubleshooting steps, I'm guessing that you include turning iCloud contacts off and then back on again? Do you still have the 4s?

    I have used the solution below to fix mine and others that have run into this issue.
    Start --> Programs --> Accessories (Right Click on Command Prompt) --> Run as Administrator
    then type in:  "Netsh winsock reset"  (-without the quotes-)
    Hit enter, restart PC, iCloud For PC should now connect without any server errors
    (This solutions will work in some instances when trying to fix errors associated when you are unable to connect to iTunes also.)

    If you want all the songs from an artist on your phone you can to to the artist view, tap on the artist, scroll to the bottom of the list and you will see a Download All button.  This works for playlists and albums too (scroll to the bottom and tap the Download All button).  I suppose if you wanted all your music on your phone you could create a smart playlist in iTunes on your computer that would contain all your music, upload it to iTunes match (Store>Update iTunes Match), and then you would get a Download All button at the bottom of this playlist on your phone to download all your songs.

    If you were told they would refund the price for the iCloud storage - Contact AppleCare and ask to speak with a senior advisor.  Have the case number for the promised refund available.
    If you are trying to update your device, but you don't have sufficient space to download and install the update, you need to delete content from your device.  Buying storage in iCloud does not add space to the device which is what you need.
    You can always update using a computer with iTunes installed - this method is faster, and will allow you to make a backup on the local computer (Local backups restore faster than iCloud backups).

    Yep, that's the only message that popped out. Nothing else. Yes, it's running on the latest ios and I still can't restore it. I called apple and they told me it's probably something wrong with their servers. Anyway thanks for the advice.

    Your phone needs more storage, buying storage on iCloud.com doesn't change that.
    Delete some of the stuff off of your phone, it's full.

    Hello, I have a subscription with iCloud, however I can not back up from the April 11 I was in USA, so I get a message "failed complete the last backup "and all the time I salt eese message when I try to do it from my Iphon5 in Peru, but when I was in USA if I could do. On the other hand to say that I have tried different internet connections to rule that it is a porblema Internet but I could not and also I get and we can complete the backup in the cloud. I would like to know what is going on with my iCloud account and it will not let me do the back up only connected via WIFI and I can perform Back Up on the computer, but to avoid that's why I buy the subscription of iCloud.
    I await your prompt assistance with this issue please.
    PS: the amount of memory that I have available in the cloud is 14.7 GB and I think that should be enough to keep making backups.

    Something in your backup may be corrupt. Try wiping it and setting it up as a new device, then sync your apps, data and media back to it from iTunes. DO NOT resotre from your backup. If the problem is contained in the backup, it will bring it right back again if you restore.
