My Illustrator does not allow me to change colors using swatches panel. Help pleas.

Few days ago I started having strange problems with my Illustrator CS5 application. I am using MacBook Pro with Intel Processor. After major update on the Mac OS few days ago I noticed I can not change colors in my drawings using swatches panel. The function on my Illustrator CS5 stopped working. When I select object and try to change its fill or stroke color using fill and stroke from the options bar above work space, none of the swatches would work. The are there how ever nothing hapends when I select them, the color remains the same.The same thing happens if I try to use the swatch panel, I select the object then I try to select new color from swatch but the fill or stroke does not change. I can only change color on my drawings using the color panel but that is not useful for me since I need to get precise colors using approved color swatches ether from pantone library or approved by client.
The other strange thing is my selection tool does not deselect when I click outside on or of the artboard, the object remains selected until I reselect another object or use the keyboard short cut to deselect it.
I have tried various options to resolve the issue from deleting and reseting preference to completely uninstalling and reinstalling Illustrator CS5. I even installed back my old CS4 version because I had to complete a project and the same issue is happens there as well. I also reset the application using Time Machine from few months ago when it was working correctly. What happens when I reset or reinstall the app, it works for about 10 min correctly as it should and and then it reverts to the same problem. I am out of options and do not know what else I could do to fix this. Right now I am working on my old Mac tower G5 and CS4 where everything works as it is suppose to, but I really need to get this fixed. Can any one help or has solution for my problem? Please.

If you only changed the name of your ID rather than creating a new ID, just go to Settins>iCloud and tap Delete Account then sign back in with the new name. (Deleting the account from your phone does not delete it from iCloud. Your data will be synced back to your phone when you sign back in.)
If you created a new ID, you'll have to go to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turn all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone. (If you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, also open your iWork apps and turn off iCloud syncing and choose to keep the documents on your phone.) After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Next, set up a new iCloud account using your other ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload the data to your new account.

BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKIN2-Status does not allow you to change certain data

Hi Gurus,
I am uploading the DIR attached files for the Documents in PLM. We have a custom program written to upload the attached files. When I tried to upload the file I am getting the BAPI Return error as "Status does not allow you to change certain data". The status of all the documents is "RL"
File format is
Doc type Document No Rev File Name
JPS 0021581PS, X, /in/PLM/JAPAN/Files/0021581PS.xls
Please help me I need to upload the data.

Check the status network for your doc type in config. You may find that the current status may not allow you to make changes. You may need to change the current status to another status before you can make the changes you would like.
The config settings will tell you the status you may set in order to make your changes, if they are allowed.

TS3212 When I try to download iTune, it shows Drive K which does not exist in my computer. It does not allow me to change to other Drive and terminate download stating ' out of disk capacity"

Try "Invalid drive X:\" install errors. You should still be able to chose the drive for the download when downloading the installer with a web browser. The iTunes application is installed on the active system drive, usually drive C:.

The iTunes Store in a country is intended only for use by that country's residents, and only while they are in the country. To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card (or other card type if acceptable in a country) issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. You are also restricted to waiting 90 days between country changes.

In general, switching countries is not easy and it is only intended you do it if you really are moving residence.
Purchases made in one country do not carry over to another country, though you can still use them as long as they are on your computer. You cannot, for example, update apps purchased in another country. I have things I bought in stores in Europe. I can continue to use them here in the USA but I no longer have access to those stores to buy replacements now I live here. In the case of apps and media each country has its own licensing contracts and this is the way Apple has it set up to work.
Your specific"cookie" error may relate to you trying to use an iTunes store from outside that country and part of the "Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance".

Probably the problem it is because your iPhone 4 and your car have the same Bluetooth technology ( 2.1 ), but iPhone 5 has new Bluetooth technology ( 4.0 ).

I recently changed my email address and have changed my Apple ID to reflect that. My itunes account will work on my PC with that new ID but my iCloud will not. Also, my iPhone will not use my new email address for either itunes or icloud. I don't know how to change it.
I read that if, on your iPhone you delete your iCloud account, you just open a new one with your new email address. Is that true, and, if you do that, do you lose your photos on your iPhone. AND, if you lose your photos on your iPhone, will they be pushed back to your iPhone if you manually sync your phone and PC?

Illustrator does not allow me to adjust stroke on a font?

When I create a stroke around my IMPACT font text, I choose font attributes and attempt to move the stroke to the outside or centered, but those buttons are all greyed out. Thus my font is strangled by the stroke. I tried to move the stroke below the font in the appearance tab, but that was not allowed. Any ideas?

Yes, in the appearance panel I may have been displaying "character" vs "type" ....it did work as both of you suggested by dragging the stroke below fill. Thank you! (I'm coming off of draw, and trying to do my homework!)
Just typing text and applying the stroke, I still find the option buttons under "align stroke" to be greyed out - until I created a compound path! They then were activated. Small lightbulbs are going off, but they are not yet connected! lol
Obviously, I need and would like to become very educated on exactly what I'm doing when I select text and under pathfinder choose "make compound path" and then hitting "expand", all steps I'm using (based on you tube education) in this process I'm required to do of having to quickly make multi-stroked text with a slight drop shadow/block effect and then creating a 1/16" outside cut line for printer processing. Sounds so simple - and once learned I know it is!
If there is a very detailed book that anyone feels is best that goes beyond monkey see - monkey do, and does a good job of explaining the functions of such tools, I would appreciate it!

Skype does not allow me to sign in using either of...

It has been a while since i've first encountered this problem, namely I cannot use my Microsoft accounts when booting Windows XP.
I have no problems when using Vista, Windows 7 or Linux, and I can sign in with my Microsoft account and use Skype as usual but I do have this issues with Windows XP. I can use my Skype name to sign in but I cannot use my Microsoft account to sign in under Windows XP. I always get the following message:
"Sorry, we don't recognize your sign in details .. Please check your Skype name and password, then try again..."
I suppose this has something to do with Microsoft end of support for Windows XP .. it is either this or maybe it has something to do with my present location --> Eastern Europe-Romania?

Irrelevant to YOU, but ridiculous to me and all other users of skype that it is dependant on IE from now on!!!
short to tell. once upon a time skype was built it was independent software piece such way that it never needed IE or other certain www browser, also it did not annoyed with commercials, had much wider operating system support. After microsoft took over it went worse and worse.
at first the skype version 5 suddenly quit (on XP machine) in july. until then it worked fine and it never needed Internet Explorer to be installed.
still to me skype version 3.5 worked fine on even win98se (!!) until the end of august 2014. It was SEVEN YEARS!!! ALl other newer versions forced to be updated, but that version was good as there was no need for IE, and no need for updating! It was perfect just if needed for textchat and audio. There was no technical issues and all worked fine with both text and audio. While there was issues to newest skype users with internet worms or annoying commercials, I never had those problems.
However there is NO need to force for updates as the "newest quality experiences of modern skype" are just more than disaster!

What is now is complete disaster -- skype depends on IE (it never was in older versions such as 4.5). IE depends on windows XP atleast. and voila! complete dependency chain where user has no power about it, is much slower than ever, does not work anymore on older systems, forced updates policy.
Why f*ck everything has to be based on IE ?!??? It worked better without it.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
Providing you are simply updating your existing details and not changing to another account, when you delete your account, all the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your computer, you need to sign out of the account from your computer first, then sign back in using your updated details. (System Preferences > iCloud, click the sign out button)

Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 not allowing me to change colors by typing in a precise hex value.

Over the last two days, I have lost the ability to type in a hex value to the color picker to change an object's color. Anyone else experience this and know of fixes? I can select from the pre-made swatches or gradient-color picker field, but I need to be able to enter precise hex values per my style guide.

What happens if you use the Web Safe RGB from the Color palette flyout and insert the values there?
For failures in general, you may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Muse site does not allow photos to change with mobile device orientation i.e. they can't be seen as full images

I have a site that has images on it and when viewed on a mobile device (ipad, phone) look fine when in portrait mode, but when the device is rotated 90 degrees you can't see the whole image. Is there some setting/widget something I need to enable this?

1- of course i know i have to accept the change, i just don't recall specifically whether or not iPhoto itself was one of the recent updates i accepted. lol
2-this is not true - a few years back, it was a 2 step process. Then it changed with one of the upgrades, and i have been able (as long as i selected 4x3 *book* as opposed to 4x3 *dvd*) to drag between orientations for the past few years - at LEAST 2 years, maybe as many as 4 (I lose track). I remember thinking at the time what a wonderful upgrade that was because it did away with all that needless clicking. Now all of a sudden this month, it has been switched off - am I the only one who has noticed this?
I have been creating an annual 'family photo album' book via iPhoto for several years now, and i use the 4x3 book sizing specifically for that reason, so I've got lots of experience using this setting. I *know* it used to work the other way.

OS X Mountain Lion does not allow me to change the disk contents

Last night, I noticed that I am not able to move files on my desktop to the Trash. Moving a file to the Trash, required me to enter my password. Even entering the correct password, did not remove the file. This just happened to files on the desktop.
I don't know why, but I have checked all the user and privacy settings in the system preferences. Nothing has changed since the last time the system worked as expected.
Can anyone help?
