I would try a Safe Boot OS X: What is Safe Boot, Safe Mode? - Apple Support be paitient it takes longer. When its booted up you can just restart normally.
Forcing shutdowns can cause disk corruption. Even though EtreCheck doesn't report any disk errors I would run Disk Utility from your recovery partition (Command-R restart) and repair the startup disk and repair permissions.
I also recommend removing the BlackBerry software, it's been known to cause problems.

IMac Late 2013 - video card and display totally glitches

HI.
Today, something strange is happened.
Looks like the video or display in my iMac Late 2013 is totally broken. I don't know what to do now.
Teh screen is always blinking, glitch and unresponsive. Impossible to use the mouse. I can see partially only 10% of the screen with a distortion from the top of the screen..... It's annoying. imac is almost new, I've bought it and started use it from the January 2014.
The problem is - that in my country (Belarus) there are no any official apple service...
as I understood - need to replace gpu, but gpu is an Intel Iris Pro. And I guess replacement will touch all the board.
such a problem... I hope there is a way to fix somehow?
A Little bit details:
iMac was not overheated. there was not any damages or something else. iMac is standing on the table and used maybe for a 5-8 hours in week. Without any hard load (graphic load). So this is double strange for me. Looks like factory defect or something like this.

I've tried to unplug everything (before was plugged only a4tech mouse and HP printer), and reboot the system. Nothing helps . i've performed reboot about 10 times. Also I've tried to reset SMC (unplug power cord for 15 sec, then plug 5 sec after, cmd opt p r) so sad. I can't use apple service in my country because of lack of service at all, only unofficial... Anyway thanks for replies... I will try to find the way to transport iMac to the nearest country with an apple service.... So sad, it was never happened with me, first critical issue with an apple device.

IMac (late 2013) model with stand - can you get it changed to the vesa mount ?

I have a new iMac (late 2013) 27 inch - I would like to fit a vesa mount - if I take it to an Apple authorised repairer can they fit one and remove the stand?

OPen Disk Utility & verify the drive first, if it says it needs repair get back to us, if not hold OPtion or alt key when opening iPhoto, see if you can choose the Library to rebuild.

My iPhone 5 just stopped working now not visible with iTunes

I have had the iPhone 5 for a few weeks, tonight I was recieving a call, as I went to answer it the slide bar locked half way accross and the phone locked up. It then turned its self off and now won't start up again, I have connected it to my iMac to see if iTunes can resotre it but iTunes doesnt even recogonise anything is plugged in.

Same thing just happened to me, through no instigation. Ive had my iphone 5 for a couple of weeks, working ok, came to reactivate it from sleep and got no response at all, tried plugging it in and still nothing. Found this thread and the trick worked, I'm grateful to find the post but the occurrence is disconcerting, has anyone had any recurrent problems with this? I bought my phone abroad and am going back to UK soon where I'm worried the warranty won't cover it. Considering going back to the store in case I have further troubles with this handset.

My ipod won't turn on and it won't stop displaying do not disconnect

The do not disconnect icon will not go away but my ipod also won't come up on my itunes so i can't eject it from there. so i just disconnected the cord anyways because i was annoyed. now it won't turn on and keeps showing the folder with the ! and under it apple.com/suppport/ipod and when that goes away the do not disconnect icon comes back up. any hope that i can fix it without sending it in? thanks!

Help! My iPod will not stop displaying "Do not Disconnect"

I have had my iPod since December 2004 and sync with iTunes on Windows XP. I have had no troubles until I installed iTrip (FM transmitter). Now I encounter the problem that whenever iTunes updates my iPod, my iPod continues to display the "Do not disconnect" warning after iTunes says it's ok to disconnect. I have tried ejecting the disk, but it says it is using other files. The only way I can disconnect the iPod is shutting down the computer. I have reset the iPod and it continues to have this problem

I have tried ejecting the iPod mini, and I have made sure that using the iPod as disk was unchecked. Oddly enough, during this phase, the iPod does show up as a disk. Since this post I have found a way to get around the problem. I was using iTunes for subscribing to podcasts. I have stopped and delected the subscribed podcasts, and this seems to be working.

I am on second ipad in 6 months, and this one has just stopped working can not turn it on have had it on charge all day but it is as dead as a dodo. it this common because i am ready to look at othe brands now!

i turned my ipad off on saturday night with 56% power went to turned it on Monday morning and there is no life in it!! this is the 2nd time it has happened to be fair Apple did replace the 1st one with this one in October last year but for it to happen again after only 3 months is rediculous. has anyone one else had the same problem?

IPad just stopped working; will not turn on

My iPad has suddenly stopped working. I picked it up this morning to read one of my newspaper apps and it won't turn on. The screen is completely blank. It was working normally last night. I thought maybe the battery had run out so I plugged it is to recharge but it still would not turn on. Do you think it might be the battery? I bought it in July. Thought the battery would last longer than that.

Thank HEAVENS!!!! I was crying about my ipad, i have done so much to protect it and as i'm walking out of class to my car (my ipad worked during my entire class) i pull it out of its carrying case and push the home button and NOTHING! but the power and home button for 10 seconds, i'm so happy!!! I would prefer process chain, not program.
Create new process chain include data target deletion component and PSA deletion component. (Include corrosponding DSO/Cube/PSA names).
Run process chain.
Else you can search for FMs to delete contents from your targets.
Delete InfoCube Data

Hierachichal display is not coming for field in cross tab crystal report

Hi,
I have a dimension "Cost center" in DSO on which Hierarchy is defined in SAP BI.
When I developed one cross tab report on this DSO, values for Cost Center fields are displayed in flat mode and not in Hierarchical mode.
I also set group option on this "Cost center" field in report And in Report menu "Hierarchical Grouping option" also check box ticked for "Sort data hierarchically" and also selected Instance id field.
how to get this?
**Note: same problem when report is developed on Infocube.*+

I've created a similar report to show matrix WBS x RBS, and WBS are grouped hierarchically.
My report developed in this way:
- I've created Hierarchical group located in detail section of report. In detail section I've put the row field of cross table.
- I've suppress all this section: group header, group footer and detail
- I've created the cross table in Report Footer
The report show correctly

Link Display is not coming proper.

I am Creating a link and where I have to display "Please click here to fetch Category ". But the problem I am facing is the message is not comming in one line rather it is coming wrapping the whole message. I need to do No wrap of that link so that whole message come in same line.

I have one cellformat. Under that I have labeledfieldlayout. Under that i have different item. There i have created a rowlayout region and under that i have created a cellformat and there i created the link. For this cell i have used width 100% colspan 10. then also it is not working. Please let me know how to do that?.

Can I install a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB into the new iMac late 2013?

1)   Can a Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD be installed in the new iMac late 2013 model? (My plan is to remove the existing 1TB HDD and replace with the Samsung SSD)
1.1) I have heard somewhere, even though it will fit, Apple's logic board firmware will pick up the non-apple product and render the iMac useless until original hard drive is reinstalled.
1.2) If it will work, will I loose my warranty on iMac? Note, the SSD will be installed by an Apple authorized workshop.
2)     Can 2x 2.5 sata drives be installed in the iMac?
2.1) I know the iMac only has 1x SATA and 1x PCIe slot, but can one not install a PCIe - SATA converter and also a 2x 2.5 drive bay in the place of the existing         3.5" drive?

I checked on the Samsung website and the 840 Pro is OSX compatible and should work in your MBP.
