  • Nokia update and 925 stuck in bitlocker blue scree...

Today my lumia 925 asked me to install the Nokia update. Yes, I clicked, and now it boots to a bitlocker blue screen asking me to insert the USB key and press enter...
I had wp8.1 developer on the device before.
Have I bricked the phone? Why bitlocker, what happened?
Here is the text from the blue screen:
    Bitlocker recovery
To recover this drive, plug in the USB drive that has the bitlocker recovery key.
Bitlocker needs your recovery key to unlock your drive because the trusted platform module is not accessible.
For more information on how to retrieve this key, go to http://windows.microsoft.com/recoverykeyfaq from another PC or mobile device
Press Enter to Reboot and try again
Press Esc or the windows key for other recovery options

    i have the same issue
    Any sollution?

I have an iMac G5 stuck on the gray screen with spinning gear.  I woke up to it being stuck on a blue screen, then force quit and now it's stuck on gray with spinning gear.  Please advise.

If you have a G5 then it's a PPC (Power PC) based iMac, this is an Intel iMac forum. Try the Gray screen appears during startup link for troubleshooting steps. I suspect the HD has crashed.

Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.

  • 27" 2009 iMac is stuck on white screen after OS X Maverick update

27" 2009 iMac is stuck on white screen after OS X Maverick update.  How do I get past this White Screen?  I have tried to use the PRAM reset, holding down Shift,Command, R, and P after turning off computer then when I turn it on, having those pressed until I see the apple symbol.  I only hear one chime. Never get to a second chime.  Thank you.

  • 2011 21.5" iMac Freezing, Not Waking Up, Blue Screen

    Hi all,
I bought a new 2011 base 21.5 inch iMac and have had a few problems ever since I first got it. At first it would simply freeze the screen, but I could still move the mouse cursor although I could not interact with anything on the screen. I could still SSH into the machine just fine in order to issue a shutdown command. A few times when restarting it will get stuck on the blue screen. Finally, and most common, sometimes the machine will not wake from sleep. I will do a hard reset and I get the error report screen. I always send the error report to Apple. Here is a snippet of the report:
    Wed May 25 14:38:33 2011
    panic(cpu 1 caller 0xffffff7f80d9b650): "ATICLASS::detectPowerDown: GPU is not found. NO MM PCI access!!!\n"@/SourceCache/GraphicsDrivers/GraphicsDrivers-6.34.13/Common/IONDRV /ATI/IOFramebuffer/ATIFramebuffer/Controller/Sources/R800/EvergreenClocks.cpp:83 1
Backtrace (CPU 1), Frame : Return Address
Things I have tried but still haven't cleared the issue up:
    Software Update
    PRAM reset
    SMC Reset
    Disk Repair
Boot from DVD, extended hardware test
Reinstall OSX from DVD after erasing Macintosh HD volume
    Thanks.

Well I am sorry to say that four months later I still have all the problems mentioned in my original post. No updates or solutions have worked. In Lion whenever the system freezes or refuses to wake, the console shows a long list of GPU debug values.
The problem seems to only happen after being on for a long time. If sleep is enabled, it will not wake. If sleep is not enabled, after a while of not being used something--either a game, video, or itunes... will cause the UI to freeze. This makes it difficult to reproduce, and when I take the computer in to Apple, in the 30 minute genius session of course everything works just fine. I does not seem to be temperature related because when idle or asleep for a while the temps do not rise.
At this point I am regretting the purchase of this system. I seriously hope that Apple can resolve it soon. I am aware that many, many other iMac users have similar issues, but there has been no acknowledgement from Apple.
    Not happy.

  • Why is my macbook pro stuck on a blue screen

I was downloading a program that was put onto a disk image, then my macbook battery died (forgot it was unplugged). When i plugged it back in and booted it back up, it did the usual tone and apple logo/spinning gear. Shortly after it would go to a pale blue screen and occasionally have a spinning gear, but no matter how long i wait it stays on the same screen.
i have tried everything here:        http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2570
except i't wont let me start from the install disk (it just goes to the blue screen)
i have the mac os x install disk one and two, but im also not sure what one to put in and if these are the right ones anyways.
I also have a windows xp partition that i CAN access without getting stuck on the blue screen.
So, is the hard drive corrupt even though i can access the windows partition?
Do i need to replace the hard drive?
i cant go to an apple store and get it fixed, i just dont want to drive there (but i will if i need a new hard drive)
this is my first mac and i have only basic knowledge of the operating system.
i think it was running on 10.6 (snow leopard), but i only have the install disks that came with my mac.

To fix your issue is too complicated and lengthy to go into all of it here as it sounds like a hardware issue, it will require the services of person very familiar and experienced with Mac's to first recover your data and then restore OS X back to a functional state which may or may not require new hardware/software installed.
If your under warranty or AppleCare, take it in for service.
You can also hire the services of a local Mac computer support technician experienced in these matters.
Have them look at your Wifi, RAM amount, extra storage and computer backup proceedures in the process.
    Good Luck.

When turning on my imac, it loads to a blue screen with a spinning wheel. It never gets passed that screen. I have tried power up to safe mode and it still doesn't work. I have music files saved on the computer and I don't want to lose any of my files. Can someone help me?

Zap the PRAM and Reset the SMC, and see if that fixes it. BTW. detailed computer and OS info goes a long way to solving problems.

You enter Target Disk mode by launching the iMac with the "T" key held down or by the method you used.  It's used so another Mac connected to it can access the files as if it were another external HD.  This document describes the process: Target Disk Mode,  Transferring files between two computers using FireWire

    Hi wolfsong.warrior,
Reset your device: Press down on the Home and Wake/Sleep buttons at the same time and continue to hold them until the Silver Apple appears (no data will be lost). Once the Home screen comes back up, check to see if everything is working correctly now.

  • IMac G5 ALS hanging at blue screen

Hi -- I've read variations on this problem, so hopefully I can provide enough information to get a solid thread started.
On startup, my iMac G5 hangs at the blue screen. I've run the install discs, repaired permissions, checked the drive, all successful. Also tried the AppleCare CD, Techtool said all systems passed inspection.
I can boot in safe mode, no problems there.
I tried archive and install, but after restart had the same trouble.
I tried booting in single-user mode to see what the log revealed, and the system seems to hang at the following:
    airport link active
    in6is_addrmulticast = 0
    flags = 0 fails
    can't assign requested address
wide area service discovery disabled to avoid crashing defective DNS relays 192.68.1.1
workaround Bonjour unknown error = 0
I notice that some of the wifi networks in my apartment complex are recognized in single-user mode just before the system hangs, which is odd.
I've tried applejack to repair the cache and preferences, but no progress.
Next step appears to be wiping the drive and reinstalling the OS, but thought I'd check here first. Thanks!

I altered the TCP/IP settings, but still no luck, so I proceeded with a full erase and install of 10.4. Much to my dismay, the system still refused to boot after the installation was complete.
At this point I'd run across some threads discussing the capacitor cap failures of the iMac G5's, so on that hunch I popped the back off to take a look.
One of the capacitors is indeed leaking out of the top, so I'm taking the unit in to the Apple store today to receive what will mostly likely be a death certificate. This unit is a refurb and the extended repair program ended in Dec. 2008, so I'm thinking my options are limited.
I'll post back with the Apple store response just in case anyone might find it useful in the future.

  • IMac will not start up - blue screen after months of Leopard use

I have an iMac G5 that will not start up. It hangs at the blue screen, but does not have the issue with the ApplicationEnhancer.bundle file. It will start up in safe mode.
This iMac will not start from a bootable external drive (the external drive can be used as a start up disk successfully with my iBook G4). The iMac's internal drive can be used as a start up disk for the iBook (via the target mode) and does not appear to have any problems. Does this seem like it is a hardware issue with the iMac? The iMac also hangs at the blue screen if I attempt to start up with the Leopard install disk after using the startup disk preference pane in safe start mode.
I have repaired permissions, verified the disk, etc., using the disk utility. I have cleared caches, preferences, and so on, using Mac HelpMate.

It may be that some of your login items might be incompatible with the mac. Also, try booting up from the install disk and repair your disk.

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
    1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
    2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer.  Proceed with reinstalling OS X.  Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files.  After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.
