My iMac shows the wrong month everything I download or save is based in January

If I download aome music from the iStore it shows the wrong month, the right day and the day number and the right year but the month is always January. Went into Apple Systems Preference but cannot change the month. Clicking on the date just spins it to 31 and starts at 1 without moving the month.
On the Calendar in the preference it shows the correct day 4 month Juned and Year but above that in the smaill window it shows 04/01/2012.

Do you have "set time automatically" checked in System Preferences? Otherwise:
Zap the PRAM

I need help! My iPad2's stubbornly showing the wrong month, day, year and time.

This happened after I updated my new iPad2 to the iOS 5.0.1. The calendar shows a date way ahead into the future. Ex. Today is Dec. 31, 2011, 6am, Manila time but its showing Jan. 1, 2555 BE, 8am. It just got my location right. I tried resetting it at Settings but it keeps on going back to the wrong date, 2555 BE. I turned off the automatic update, and manually set the time, but It seems to insist the error. I sync this iPad with iTunes to a Windows 7 PC, it has the correct date, year and time zone. I've been following a similar thread here but I could not find it now. Please give advice that I could do on my own first before I seek Apple care coz its almost party time here. I got several advice from other Apple users such as: restart the iPad by pressing the home button and the sleep/wake simultaneously, turn off the auto-update of date and time, make sure it's in Gregorian, sync with a computer with the right date and time and restore. I did all of the above except restore but it didn't help. I thought I should restore to the previous iOS. When I tried to restore, I learned that it'll still be in iOS 5.0.1, and since I also couldn't back up to iCloud (which freaked me out), I chickened out of it and called the nearest Apple Store. They were very kind to help me for free.
Before I went to the store, I backed up my iPad to PC first to keep my paid apps at least. Then the Apple guy checked the problem himself and he restored it in their iTunes. After the restore, the month, day, time and year were correct. When I got home, I just synced with the previous back-up. All my apps were re-installed, my games were intact but my documents saved in some apps (like Documents to Go, PDF Expert and CHM+) were gone.
The Apple guy said, I might have encountered an Internet problem while I was updating hence the bug. I was the first case they've encountered. But they couldn't explain what the BE stands for... Before Extinction? Hope the experts shed light on this to avoid it coz I wasn't able to use my iPad or even back-up to iCloud.

There are 2 things you can do, the first (and by far the easiest) is to delete all of the music off of your iPhone and then put it back on. Also you might want to check that everything is in the correct place on the iTunes library. If you downloaded any music from iTunes without using a cd and it is not in your iTunes library you can go to the iTunes Store and on the right side under "Quick Links" and select purchased. It will let you download anything you have ever purchased in iTunes.
The 2nd option is to backup your iPhone and save ALL of your apps to iTunes on your computer. Restore the iPhone and set up as a new iPhone, Don't worry all of your contacts will be in the cloud if you have it enabled. Once you set it up you can re-download all of your lost apps for free. Make sure your iTunes music is all in order and then sync the music back up.

I had this problem on my iMac and fixed it after a half hour of frustrated trying. I had changed my Apple ID on my iPad mini while traveling. When I finally got back home after a few months, I couldn't log in to iTunes on my iMac. The old Apple ID was still being used on my iMac. I tried just highlighting it and deleting it and typing in my new Apple ID. No dice. The login just defaulted to my old Apple ID. I tried clicking on the drop down menu that appears when you right right click your Apple ID that appears at the top of the page after highlighting the 'iTunes Store" in the left side list. I saw "account" so I clicked on that. The "account" settings on my iMac showed my new Apple ID but my iMac wouldn't use it. It just kept defaulting to my old ID. I shut down. I logged back in. Same result. Finally I right clicked the same drop down menu and saw "sign out" at the bottom of the list. Even though I was not signed in to iTunes, I clicked "sign out". My next log in to iTunes showed my Apple ID as blank and I was able to type in my new ID. Hope this helps.
I am a long time 20 year Microsoft user. I am somewhat ( 1 year) new to Apple. With Microsoft, I found that fixing problems was clunky and complex, but there was always a post somewhere that explained the fix. Microsoft's explanations stated even the most obvious fact. Even if everyone knew that the sky was blue, Microsoft's instructions would still tell you that the sky was blue. With Apple, I find that the obvious is sometimes not so obvious. But the fix is almost always easy once you find it, without many of the elaborate maneuvers needed in Windows.

Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

So did you just change the username (the new email address) for your Apple ID or did you actually create a new Apple ID? If you created a new Apple ID, you will not be able to use that new ID to update the old apps. You will have to continue to use the old ID and password to update those previously purchased apps.

There isn't an email address associated with the contact name who appears as the "from" in Mail. It used to be a shared email address and I already had updated the contact to list only the phone number in case that was causing the problem.

Credit master records are showing the wrong credit exposure?

Some credit master records are showing the wrong credit exposure and therefore orders are being credit blocked when they should have been approved.
The problems occur after the credit limit has changed in the credit master record
Please Help.

Dear Chamandeep,
Trust you have reviewed the open documents that would constitute to credit exposure, and have turned a blank.
In such cases, it is possible to reorganise the credit master data of customers by using the programmes RVKRED77 and RVKRED07.
Kindly prefer the latter as it permits greater flexibility especially in selection of dates of data reorganisation.
In either case, the data re-organisation is resource intensive and is best run when all other users are cleared from the system.

The world clock for my time zone shows the same wrong date and time. My calender shows the same wrong date and time. The phone can not find my time zone any more. The only fix I found was to turn off the automatic setting for time. What is happening? Ideas?

then turned it off then on tapped time zone and typed london

XFCE's Clock shows the wrong time...

XFCE's clock shows the wrong time constantly (it always shows the GMT time), but whenever I run hwclock -r, it tells me the correct time. Can anyone help fix it?

Well, I think I found what was wrong at last. It seems that the timezone wasn't set in the rc.conf, even though the TZ variable was set. I changed it, but will have to restart in a bit to see if it works.

AirDrop showing the wrong name and picture with iOS 7

AirDrop is showing the wrong name and picture on my wife's phone....It is showing my name and picture. She has an iPhone 5 and I just updated her to iOS7 about an hour ago, same time as I did mine. Is it because we are connected with the same Apple ID and if so, how do I fix it? She is annoyed by it and not seeing where I can change it in the settings is beginning to annoy me. Help!

I don't think that's the issue. I'm having the same problem. My wife, my son, and I all use the same Apple ID, but we have different email addresses and phone numbers for facetime and imessage (we've never had an issue with imessage or facetime). Today, I updated my phone and ipad to ios 7 and tried to experiment with airdrop. On both devices it showed my son's name. Then my son updated his ipad and we tested airdrop again. His ipad shows up on my phone and ipad with his name as well. The email address that I use for Apple ID is not associated with him on any device. His name is not listed on our Apple ID account. One of them shows his photo that he uses for his facebook profile, but the other's just have a gray circle with his first initial. I'm hoping it's just a bug that will get fixed soon, but if anyone knows a fix, please share.

Showing the Date (month & day) in the Menu Bar, Not just the Day of the Wee

Since upgrading to 10.5 from 10.4, I've noticed that the menu bar no longer shows the date (month and day, it just shows the day of the week.
Is there a way to get the menu bar to show the month and day again as it did in 10.4?

Tiger had to be changed in the same way as Leopard.
Start by opening the International Preferences panel, and clicking the Formats tab.
In the Dates section, click Customize. Click the Show pop-up and select your choice of Short, Medium, etc. Now place the elements you want in the small "work area," by dragging and dropping them from the Date Elements section. Once placed, you can click on some elements to see other options (Wednesday or Wed, for instance). Once you've built the date string you want, click once in the work area, and hit Command-A then Command-C to select the string and copy it. Now click Cancel to close the window without making any changes.
In the Times section, click Customize, and set the Show pop-up to Medium. In the small work area below the pop-up, place the curser where you want the date elements to start, and click to position the cursor. Now hit Command-V to paste the elements you just copied. You can further add characters and spaces to customize the look. If you want to remove an element (i.e. the year), click on it and use the Delete key. Click OK, and you'll see the results in the menubar.
