My iMac stops uploading after a few seconds

my imac in the last two weeks wont let me upload from sites i have previous used.
these are only job application forms and our not very big.
the bar starts to upload at bottom but stops a quarter way through.
i have plently of memory left

Often the easiest way to solve this kind of problem is to try with another web browser. If you're using Safari, try Firefox.

"AU audio file player" stops playing after a few seconds

Hi there,
i use "AU audio file player" in my concert set up.
It worked fine til yet, but now it just stops playing after a few seconds.
The track is 3 minutes, but it stops suddenly.
I tried to reload the tracks and tried loading the "AU audio fle player" into a new session,
but it still stops playing in any of the sets.
Any idea?

I did not find a way to trigger it from the keyboard...
So I decided the following: I made a short cut for QuicKeys which opens the AUAudioFilePlayer and starts the loop I need. A quick solution which works with just hitting one key on the computer and the loop player starts. This works pretty well with QuicKeys but not with MS, the problem: sometimes when I choose by double clicking the AUAudioFilePlayer a black window shows up and only the name is readable, nothing else. I have to close it, reopen it and then- perhaps- the AU shows up and I can push the play button. Do you now that problem?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library and then download again from your purchased history. If the problem persists, or that facility is not available in your region contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history.

Touchscreen stops working after a few seconds on new iPad 2

The touch screen would stop working completely a few seconds after turning on. The iPad is still running fine -- Home/Power/Volume buttons work perfectly. But not the touch screen. I can not control the iPad except turning it on/off or turning the volume up/down.
Tried resetting the unit by holding Home and Power buttons. Still the same issue after rebooting.
Tried restoring the iPad completely from iTunes. With a clean iOS the touch screen still doesn't work.
Leaving the unit untouched for a few hours, then the touch screen would start working again.... for another few seconds. Then it stops working.
This is a replacement iPad which Apple Store gave me, but I'm out of the country now and there is no Apple Store where I am. How can I get this fixed?

Purchased a Stor.E Wireless Adapter and followed instructions but after turning the device on by connecting to USB power using supplies cables, WIFI access point disconnects after 4 or around seconds.

3. wireless light becomes green and stay on, turns off after a few seconds
Managed to connect to it using the mobile app a few times, while its on, but since the WIFI point disconnects, cannot use it.
Any thoughts ?

3G stops booting after a few seconds

My wife's 3G (3.1.3) crashed last night. I shut it down but I have not been able to get it to boot. The apple logo appears and then the screen goes black after a few seconds. It does this if I start it with the power button or if I start it by holding down the home and power buttons. I have been able to get it into restore mode by holding down the home button and plugging it in to the computer. I would like to try to save some photos on it that were taken since the last backup before I try the restore. Any suggestions?

Button stops working after a few seconds

I created a button in Adobe Captivate, which is used to jump
to an URL. When I run the published swf, the button correctly loads
the URL, but after a few seconds, the button does not load
anything, even when the browser window of the URL that was loaded
initially is closed. In other words, the button can be clicked but
it does not do anything. This loss of functionality occurs after
approximately 3 seconds of running the SWF.

You said you have three buttons on the slide with two of them
configured for "No action"? Why? What is their purpose if you are
doing nothing when they are clicked?
You also said the buttons aren't pausing. If the buttons
aren't pausing the slide, it is probably simply playing and ending.
Sounds like you are expecting the slide to pause, so I'm confused
as to why you removed the pause action from the buttons.

Ipod stops charging after a few seconds

My 4th gen ipod stops charging after 6-8 seconds of being plugged in. Since the battery is dead, the black screen with a red battery pops up whenever it's plugged in and then disappears after 6-8 secs or being unplugged. Both the home and power buttons are broke so I'm unable to activate in any way besides plugging it in.

- Try another cable. The cable for 5G iPod (lightning connector) seems to be more prone to failure than the older cable.
- Try another charging source

Audio stops playing after a few seconds when importing a HD clip

I have CS4 running on Enterprise version of Windows 7 64 bit on the following hardware:
Processor: Intel i7-970 Hex core Gulftown
Motherboard: Asus P6X58 Premium
RAM: 24GB Kingston DDR3 1065
Video card: Nvidia Geforce9800GT
Four hard drives, system disk is stand alone and the other three are split in groups of RAID0
When I import a HD clip from file (EXCAM EX 720p60p) the audio will play in the source window or the timeline for a few seconds and then quit. If I edit the clip in Soundbooth, from the timeline, the waveform quits at the point that the audio stopped in the timeline.
This behavior is very sporatic; sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. Closing the program and restarting sometimes solves a certain clips audio problem, sometimes it doesn't. Yesterday I worked all day without it happening but today it is happening every few clips. Some I can fix by restarting Premiere, some I can't.
If I import the clip from Bridge to Soundbooth the audio waveform is just fine.
I have seen this problem discussed several years ago but never resolved in that discussion. Any ideas?

Yes! I imported the entire BPAV in a file on my scratch drive under the specific project folder. From there I am using the media browser in CS4 to either preview the clip or import it into the project. The audio drops out whether it is previewed or imported. And as I have said, this behavior is not consistant. I have yet to find a repeatable cure.
Also as I have said if I import the offending clip, from the same folder, into Soundbooth using Bridge the waveform is fine. If I import the same clip into Soundbooth from the Premiere timeline the waveform goes flat where the audio stopped in Premiere.

Video (Camera) stops working after a few seconds (Windows XP)

On starting a video call on Skype, the person I am connecting with can see me in the video. I cannot see them - only a still picture. Then within a few seconds the camera stops working, and a line appears through the camera icon. Skype suggests that there is another application using the camera - but there is no other program using the camera. The camera remains unusable until I quit Skype and restart it... but once again it will only display my video for 4 or 5 seconds. The camera is a fairly new Logitech HD webcam C525, and the computer is running Windows XP. Skype reports that it is the latest version of the program. Any help gratefully received!

Audacity randomly stops recording after a few seconds

I've been trying to record a few things with audacity, which has generally worked pretty well for me in the past.
However, whenever I try to record a second track, it only records for a second or so after I hit the record button, and then randomly stops, although the cursor keeps on moving forwards and the meter keeps showing the input.
I haven't been able to find any reason why it would be doing this, and it is EXTREMELY fustrating. It has also done this when I tried to record for the first time in a new project, but I switched a few settings on and off again and it worked for some reason. Can anyone offer any help?

Is this still a problem for anyone? I came here looking for help and found more questions, so I started randomly playing with the input settings. I have an Ensoniq (es1371). Choosing OSS/DSP gave me an error trying to read the device; choosing hw0:0 or 0:1 had it stop recording at just over 0.6 seconds; turning software playthrough on or off had no effect. What finally worked was "ALSA:Default" and use alsamixer to control the recording source.
At the risk of being branded a linux hater, I should mention that the same hardware under Windows "just works" without any changes needed in the input settings on my part. I fired up Windows 7 in a vmware window - so not only did the Windows environment work correctly out of the box, that was with the additional layer of alsa -> vmware -> windows.

Burned CD is distorted and stops playing after a few seconds

I burned a cd in the usual manner with itunes, but the cd is distorted and stops playing in the cd player. I have burned dozens of cds in the past with no problem. Is this caused by the recent update?

Try a different brand of cd; I recently had this happen. It freaked me out at first, but after switching brands it never happened again.

Sound stops playing after a few seconds

Hey all. I juz transferred a song to my iPod. The song plays for 16 seconds and then it juz automatically skips to the next song!! It's frustrating. The song played juz fine on iTunes and WMP though. Any solutions guys?

I'm having the same problem many times over! I have about 250 songs on my IPod Nano and about 25-30 of them do this. They start to play and about 10-15 seconds into the song, they skip to the next one. A few of the songs even get almost to the end and then skip. Its VERY frustrating. I have reset, restored, and even re-formatted the IPod to no avail. It happens with songs purchased from ITunes as well as songs I've imported from CD's. The songs play just fine on the computer, just not on the IPod. If someone can help with this I would really appreciate it!!

Garage Band stops recording after a few seconds

I asked for help here and someone named HangTime said more memory will do it. I had to save up, and I finally got some RAM. I have 4.5 installed.
It recognizes the RAM, so I went to GarageBand and started recording, and in about 15 seconds I lost the audio same as before. NO difference.
I also notice that another user had the same issue and he has 4.5 RAM as well, and said he has not resolved it.
I'm pretty frustrated, as I really would like to use GarageBand or send the RAM back as I had to save along time for the RAM and now there is no difference at all.

Searching through the forum I see there is another user having the same problem. All three of us the same. Sound then a pop, and no sound.
His is not answered as well. I went to the Apple STore Genius BAr they said "More RAM will do it." It did not.

Ok so for some reason in garageband i'm losing sound.
Running on Snow Leopard 10.6.2, Macbook White 2.13 Ghz June 09 Release. Everything is up-to-date.
I'll be listening to an instrument (by playing it with musical typing), i'll come across a specific software track and when I click a key to play the sound theres a loud pop in my left headphone and the sound is gone. Its really weird! It'll say that the track is making a sound with the sound bars, but the main sound bars (by the measures/chord/whatever window at the bottom) show nothing. I can change the instrument but there will still be no sound, and the only way to get sound back is to close the project and reopen it. Nothing else changes, the sound is just gone. Any theories?
It happens every time with 'synchro nice' and 'glassy accent.'
