This just happened to me when I changed my password in preferences. Click "sign out" and then quit the application. Then go to iforgot and reset your password. Once you have reset your new password go back to imessage and click "sign in". Use your new password and you should be good.

Try turning off the following to conserve battery:
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Push>OFF
Settings>Notifications>Mail>Gmail>Notification Center>OFF
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Fetch New Data>Off

I lost most of my contacts after updating to iOS 7.1.2 last night! I can't see the contact in my contact list but when I text/call they are there...what is going on and how do I restore this to see all contacts?

It never happened to me, but try to Reset the iPhone by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears and ignore the red slider.

My iMessage isn't working

My iMessage isn't working. When i go into the Messages settings, I go to turn on my iMessage and it says "an error occurred during activation. Try again". Then when I try to sign in with my Apple ID it kicks me out of the settings.

Why does iMessage only work for some of my contacts?

Having problems with iMessage. It will work for some of my contacts but not others. And those people arre having the same problem, works with other people but not me.. Anyone dealt with this?

1. Both devices have to be running iOS 5.*
2. Internet latency can delay iMessage connection. If you enabled "Send as SMS", the phone will switch to SMS if iMessage doesn't connect quickly. If you disable Send as SMS, more of your messages will go through as iMessage.

Try the following:
Go to Settings > Messages > iMessages > disable
Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
let it do it's thing and reset.
Then go to Settings > Messages > iMessages > enable
You'll then have to go back to your Wifi and re-enter your router credentials.

Is the Serial Number shown on your Mac ?
In the Apple iCon Menu > About this Mac click the line that tells you the current OS version twice.
Once will show you the Build Number (another method of counting the OS version and can be specific to certain models) and the next click shows you the Serial Number.
If it is missing (due to refurb or repair and not replaced) it will need replacing at an Apple Store or Apple Authorise Service Provider.

I have no idea what the "freezer fix" is, nor why anyone would think temporary exposure to cold will somehow fix a hardware issue with a 100% solid state device. Also, actually freezing your iPhone may very well itself cause damage.
If you dropped it and wifi immediately failed to work, the odds are you inflicted physical damage to it - perhaps the antennae connection internally. You could try a simple reset and see if that helps, but if not, you need to take it into Apple for an evaluation and diagnosis.
If it has internal damage, since you dropped it, your warranty no longer applies. Apple does not repair iOS devices, the merely swap them for factory refurbished units (and send your damaged one back to the manufacturer in China for refurbishment or recycling). You would ahve to pay the out of warranty replacement fee (look on your country's Apple web site, under support for the iPhone for fees).

There has been an outage for both iMessage and FaceTime today. Started at around Noon time, PDT.
There is nothing you can do from your end, this problem is on Apple's servers.
