My iMessage still says "Waiting for activation...

I tried literally every single one of your solutions and nothing worked.
I ported my number from Reliance to Vodafone.Total pain in the backside. I want to send iMessages from my own number, not my email address.
Please, please someone else?

Hallo Brad,
I didn't get an email but first a warning that my carrier might charge me for the text message that would be used to activate. Said OK. Messages activated and my phone number was added below the email address. I now have two 'recieve at' addresses.
Don't know if this hepls but you can stop worrying about the 'missing' email.
Good luck. A

My imessage is working when im signed into my apple id butmy phone number is still not activated, my imessage still says waiting for activation how do i fix it ?

Go to Settings > Messages and turn iMessage OFF.
Then go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset Network Settings. Your phone will restart. You will not lose any data, but you will have to re-enter any Wi-Fi network passwords.
Once the phone has re-started and you have a network connection (either 3G or Wi-Fi), turn iMessage back ON.

  • TS2755 Did all of this trouble shooting and my Imessaging still says waiting for activation. Don't know how to fix it.

Don't understand why my Imessaging stopped working. If I go to settings messages and check out Imessaging it just says waiting for activation.

Change the DNS servers of the wifi network to 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
Go to settings>general>date&time> set automaticly , turn it on if it wasn't
    then settings>general>reset>reset network settings
    restart the phone

  • Why does my phones iMessage keep saying "waiting for activation"

Why does my iPhone's iMessage keep saying "waiting for activation" when I turn on my iMessage

It's waiting for you to reply to a confirmation email that was sent when you added that email address to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
The email is sent immediately. If you have reason to believe it was not sent, tap the blue circled i then either resend the validation email, or remove it.

  • HT201407 iMessage "unable to activate, please try again".    Whenever I go to activate imessage is says waiting for activation and then about 5 mins later says activation unsuccessful, please try again. This is driving me mad! It's been 2 days now!!

Lease help me to activate imessage. I now have iPhone 5s and can't activate imessage. I've tried all the normal stuff but nothing is working

i had this problem with my iphone 5c and sorted it contacting apple.
have you tried resetting the network settings? it doesnt delete anything and should work. if it then changes to "waiting for activation", instead of the error message, then leave it for 24 hours (leaving your phone and wifi on) and it should activate and work.
for me, this didnt work after 24 hours. i then backed up my phone and reset it and set it up as a new iphone then restored it using my backup from the computer and it now works

  • TS4268 Still says "waiting for activation".

I know that the imessaging servers are back up. But my phone's imessaging still isn't working. What do I do?

Did you follow all of the suggestions in the support document that you came here from http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4268? If you did, try turning it off again, wait a moment, then turn it back on again.

  • My iMessage keeps saying 'waiting for activation' I've googled and tried everything, completely restored my phone and all but it's still not working. Someone help before I smash my phone, my patience is running low!!!

    .

The following gives instructions for that error message, including to contact Apple support if you've tried all of the steps shown and waited 24 hours: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4268

  • I purchased an iphone 4 yesterday.  I can not send texts.  imessage setting says "waiting for activation. "

I have received some texts from family who are on the same account and also from spammers but cannot receive from others and cannot send.

If you bought it yesterday your service provider (orange, voadfone etc) can take up to a week I believe, depending on who you bought it from, to fully activate your phones features. However being able to receive some texts is odd as this would suggest it has been activated. If you're near the store you bought it from I would suggest going in and just asking about it, or phoning them up if you want, but otherwise you could wait a few days and see if it sorts itself out.
