Triple check the Outgoing Mail server info that you entered in your Mail account. If that area says the info is optional enter the outgoing mail server and your password anyway. Also if you have more than one email account check the server that is selected for the GoDaddy account and make sure it's the correct server for the account.

  • My iMessage won't send pictures or videos to one of my contacts.

My iMessage won't send pictures or videos to one of my contacts. Can someone please help? I've already turned my device on and off, but it still won't work. It happened after the last update.. when I send a picture or video,  it would show as sent, but then have the red exclamation icon and say message not delivered. I would try and deliver multiple times but it just won't work.

It depends if the contact is not an apple product it will not work at all ..iMessage is only used for apple products.Just check.Well you should know if the contact is an apple user or not so yeah thats all really. But if it's it that important f.of a pic download a texting app it helps alot.

  • IMessage won't send or receive pictures

iMessage won't send or receive pictures, no matter how big or small they are. Not issue sending pics from iphone or ipad. if i access the file transfer window, it shows the following message below each picture that did not go out:
NSURLSession error: The operation couldn't be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error - 1200.) ((null))
    Any ideas?
This issue started a few days ago, no changes in SW or HW ever since, so not sure what is going on.

    Hi,
Try zipping/Compressing the files or pic first.
Other people are having the issue and the zipping is the only work around we have discovered so far.

  • Imessage won't send texts/pictures, but can receive if send them to myself

I can't find the answer to this:
I have imessage on my iphone4s, but i can't send pictures to other imessage users. If I send them as SMS/MMS to another user, through the carrier, it works fine. I have tried sending the pictures to myself through imessage and I can receive them well.
    What I have tired:
Having my brothers iphone next to me and making sure imessage works (blue text), he won't receive some of my texts and pictures.
Turned off imessage and sent text (SMS) to my brother's iphone, he will recieve the message.
Disabled Imessage and restarted my phone, reinabled imessage, tried again NO LUCK
I sent text to myself on imessage, can receive and send, sent picture to myself on imessage, can send and recieve.
sent picture to myself from my brothers iphone using imessage, can receive.
My thoughts, seems like something got corrupted? Might have to restore my phone but wanted to see if anyone has had any better solutions.

I have the exact same issue! I have tried compeltely restoring my iphone, turning off and on imessage different itunes accounts etc etc NOTHING will work. I am on the latest 5.1 and no luck whatsoever! Any help would be aprreciated thanks.

  • Imessage won't send or receive messages?

I've been having a bunch of trouble with imessage. It won't send or receive messages 75% of the time when I'm trying to use it. I've reset my network settings multiple times, restarted my device multiple times, and logged out and back in. My wifi is fine. Everything else works. Except imessage.

    Hi IssiHerondale,
Here is an article for you that will help you troubleshoot this issue with iMessage:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
If you can't send and receive iMessages
You will need these to send and receive iMessages:
An iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    iOS 5.0 or later
A cellular data connection or a Wi-Fi connection
A phone number or Apple ID registered with iMessage in Settings > Messages
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you selected iMessage for use. If the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use, troubleshoot iMessage registration.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. If a data connection isn't available, troubleshoot cellular data or a Wi-Fi connection.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn which network your phone supports. If your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while you're on a call.
    Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you still can't send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Make sure that the contact you're trying to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact in the Contacts app. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.
If you aren't receiving iMessages across all iOS devices
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on each iOS device and make sure that you signed in with your Apple ID. You must use the same Apple ID on each device.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You Can Be Reached By iMessage At and make sure that you selected each phone number and email address you want to use with iMessage.
If you linked a phone number to your Apple ID with iMessage and the phone number hasn't appeared, followthese steps.
Sign out of your Apple ID in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and Settings > FaceTime on all devices.
If you're linking a phone number to an Apple ID, sign in to iMessage on your iPhone first. Then sign in to the rest of your device one by one with iMessage and FaceTime.
If your iMessages didn't transmit as SMS when iMessage was unavailable for use
Go to Settings > Messages > Send as SMS and turn on Send as SMS.
Select your phone number when Sending iMessages in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Start New Conversations From.
Make sure that you can send SMS with Settings > iMessage turned off.
Thanks for coming to the Apple Support Communities!

  • IMessage won't send off my iPad or iPhone 5

Can anyone help been having this problem now since I got my new iPhone I messages worked fine up until the new iOS software upgrades now it won't send to any off my iMessage friends it's having to go as a normal message

  • 4s Won't Send or Recieve MMS

My MMS messaging worked for the first couple of days that I had the 4S (2 weeks ago) but now it won't let me send or recieve picture messages.  Sometimes the MMS would be sent at a much later time (a friend recieved it at 5am when I sent at 7pm the day before), sometimes when I would restart my phone, then I would recieve an MMS message... all very inconvient.  I've discussed with my carrier (Rogers) and they did a number of "tests" on their end to figure out what could be causing it.  They suggested to restore the phone to the factory settings to test it out and if it worked, I could restore my phone from my backup.  I restored from orignal, and MMS worked, but once I restored from back up, it stopped working again.  I'm content with restoring from factory but then I lose everything I have saved.  Any ideas?

If it works with the device in a clean state (i.e. restored as new) and then stops working when the device is restored from backup, that clearly indicates it is a setting or corrupted file in the backup.
    Has the following been tried?
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    Different SIM card
    Reset or Restart the device
Settings > General > Network > Enable 3G, turn this off.  (If this rectifies, could indicate a network issue)
Is Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data On or Off?  It must be ON for MMS to work.

  • TS4268 iMessages won't send after updating to iOS 7?

I have updated to iOS 7.0.2 and I can receive iMessages but cannot send them. I have tried the trick of turning it off and then resetting network settings but this hasn't worked. Does anyone have any other solutions?

I have an iPhone4 and upgraded to iOS 7.1.
Since then imessage does not work properly on the iPhone4.
iMessage is working on my iPad normally.
I have reset network settings after turning iMessage off.
    Turned iMessage back on.
iMessage is activiating and after doing the above.
I have also turned the phone off (Held home and power buttons for 10 seconds etc)
Other devices cannot reach the phone using iMessage.
My local Brisbane Apple store said last Friday evening it was most likely not the device and there was a problem in the 'cloud' side of iMessage out of my control.
This does not seem to be the case as I search for the thousands of people this would most likely affect.
I had a brief period where it appeared to work normally a few days ago.
Inerestingly when addressing a message in the 'To:' screen iMessage capable names come up blue as if they are about to be addressed and sent as an imessage.  Once selecting the name however it turns green as if to say this will be sent as a text.
I am at a loss at what to do.  The phone was working perfectly well under iOS6x
    Thanks

  • IMessage won;t send to non iPhone users

iMessage has always worked just like texting on my phone. I use ATT and would simply text from my computer and would perfectly integrate with iPhone and send messages to anyone on any OS on any network without fail. I do not have nor do I want an Aim account. I recently upgraded to MAvericks and now iMessage will only send emssages to other iPhone users. Please help make ti work just like it did with Mountain Lion and jsut like they promise it will work with Yosemite. Thanks!

You will be able to do that with Yosemite and iOS 8. Your Mac will connect with your phone over bluetooth and send an SMS message via the iPhone.
It never worked in Mavericks that way.
As KOT states, iMessages only works from AppleID to AppleID on iDevices.
From AT&T's Website, you can send a text to any other AT&T customer:
