My imessages dont show up on my ipad
hi there, recently got an ipad. all working fine, but i cant seem to get my imessages on my ipad. they only show up on my iphone. and I was under the impression that they would show up on both devices...
can anyone help me with this?
I have set the both devices with the same apple Id, but they are still not coming through
Are these messages being sent to your phone number? Ask the sender to send to your Apple ID (email address) and then see if they show up on the iPad.

Is it possible that the person who sent the message to your phone sent it to your phone # instead? Try sending a message to your phone via the email address and see if it shows up on the iPad.

I'm trying to understand why iMessages from my iPhone 4 won't show up on my iPad 2. I have Receive At set to the same E-Mail address. The only thing I can think of is that the person sending it to me is using my phone number as the recipient and not my E-Mail address. But why would that matter of I can receive on both.
I had the same exact issue and solved it after realizing that my iphone was configured with a @mac.com address and the ipad was with the @me.com that we can also use interchangeably. I set both devices to the @mac.com variant of my Apple ID and bingo! All as advertized!

We are developing quite a few excel worksheet reports.
The reports dont show the cells if contain formulas ( when opened in iPad or ipod ),

Thanks.There is no version of Excel for iPads. iPads come with something that lets you view the contents of Excel files but it implements only the common easy features and there are (literally) hundreds of things you can do in Excel that it doesn't know how to show on the screen, including some functions.
If you intend to work with spreadsheets on an iPad I suggest you buy Numbers for iPad

which understands more (but still not 100%) of the things that Excel does. It is so cheap that you can probably afford to buy a copy just to see whether it does what you want.
If you are doing things with spreadsheets and intend to be primarily working on iPads then I suggest you actually use Numbers on a Mac as well, rather than using Excel at all. -
In settings on my ipad, about iMessages still shows 1,5 GB when I deleted all messages. It still 1,5GB

But this is not the first problem of apple. Today I bought an album with the booklet 15 f...... Euros. Music is there but digital booklet isn't! On iTunes before I bought, was an information booklet only with full album... That's a lie!!!!!

Why are my iMessages showing on my brothers iPad?
Why are all my iMessages that I send from my iPhone 4 to my boyfriends iPhone 4s showing on my brothers iPad? We do not share an apple ID! He can send a message from his iPad to my boyfriend and then it shows on both phones that I am the sender when I have not sent anything. WHAT IS HAPPENING? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Jon is correct, you have either signed into iCloud with the same ID on both devices or you have associated the same email address as an alias between them. Sign out of iCloud / iTunes / Appstore on both devices then sign-in seperately and that should resolve it. In the mean time, keep the messages as clean as possible.

has anyone run into this problem...i rented three movies and they downloaded. On my computer it shows as having all three movies moved to the connected Ipad to watch, but only i shows on the ipad...now that I have watched it no movies show on the ipad But the computer still shows one on the ipad ( and the used data shows one on the ipad) the other movie just vanished
On your iPad go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Account (in the Contact section). If you have this setting, make be sure you have selected iCloud as your default account and not something else like On My iPhone, Google, Yahoo, an Exchange account, etc. If iCloud is not selected, make this change then add a new test contact and see if it appears in your contacts on icloud.com and your other devices now.
If you don't have the Default Account setting, or if it is set to iCloud but new contacts added to your iPad still aren't appearing on icloud.com, add any missing contacts from your iPad to your contacts on icloud.com. Once the contacts on icloud.com are up to date, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts off, choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then after a few seconds turn Calendars back on. Then add a new test contact on your phone and see if it appears on your calendar on icloud.com and your other devices now. -
I just switched from a iPhone 4S to iPhone 5S and now my text messages are showing up on my iPad as well as my phone. How to I turn this feature off and just keep them on my phone?
This is for imessage - go to settings - message - send&receive and start a new convo - remove or uncheck the apple id.

I just got a new iPad air and also own an iPhone 5. I'm receiving most of my text messages on the iPhone, but some are now also showing up on my iPad. I don't want them on my iPad, any suggestions on how to get them to stop showing up n my iPad?
Go to settings>messages>send and receive at>you can be reached by iMessages at> Uncheck your phone number and you can select your Apple ID emal address if you want to use that for messages.

Anyone know how to fix imessage and FaceTime issues with iPhone 5s? I can send messages, but replies only show up on my iPad, not my phone. Can't FaceTime at all, just on iPad. Says "waiting for activation". Or "Activation unsuccessful. Turn on iMessage to try again." And a screen comes up "iMessage Activation. An error occurred during activation. Try again." If I try to log in with my Apple ID, it doesn't work, either. Same problems for FaceTime.
I have tried all the "fixes" I found on another thread, nothing worked. This is a replacement phone. My first one had problems with the touchpad not working, but the messaging and FaceTime were fine. The touchpad works on this phone. Any suggestions?Fixed!! My cellular/internet provider had to do a restore and now it works

iMessage on My iPhone 4 works fine after doing the same update.
Have done all the usual things plugging into computer, complete shut down and reboot, nothing has worked.
It keeps asking for password for Apple ID, I know I am entering the correct ID, check network is also being displayed.
Nothing wrong with my network either, other iPads and iPhones are working fine on the same network.
Would like this fixed ASAP.

If I understand the issue correctly, you have recently purchased a used iPhone and you do not see your Apple TV in the control center in order to AirPlay. To troubleshoot this issue please follow the steps outlined below.
Try these steps first
Make sure that you have the latest software on your iOS device and Apple TV.
Make sure that both devices have Wi-Fi turned on.
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Network.
If you're trying to use peer-to-peer AirPlay, make sure that both devices have Bluetooth turned on.
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Bluetooth.
If you don't see AirPlay in Control Center
When an AirPlay-enabled device is available, you'll see AirPlay in Control Center on your iOS device.
If you don't, try these steps:
Restart your iOS device and Apple TV.
Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
On your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Network. If your Apple TV is connected using Ethernet, make sure that it’s plugged in to the router you're using for Wi-Fi.
On your Apple TV, make sure that AirPlay is turned on. Go to Settings > AirPlay.

im not getting my TEXT messages anymore until i get around Wifi and then they flow in....i have Imessage on on both iphone and ipad...i tried turning OFF Imessage and they still dont come in!
If they are coming in when you are around wifi, are the bubbles blue or green? SMS messages (green) are cellular and wifi would have nothing to do with this. They won't be carried over wifi. If they are blue bubbles, then they are iMessages and are coming in when you get to wifi because you are finally able to receive data, since you say you have cellular data turned off.
