My imessages wont send to one person

i got the ios7 update when it came out, but two days i was texting this one contact in my phone and my imessages wont send it says in red letters not delivered. i have been imessaging this person for over a year and ive never had this problem.
when i imessage other people it works.
the person i am imessaging says he has the same problem when he imessages me. i have tryed turning off imessage reset network and turning off my phone and it still wont work, its been happeningfor 2 days now. please help

This has never happened to me.  However, perhaps you're not following the right sequence of actions.  There are several ways to do this.  Here's one:
1) Open up the phone application on your iPhone (it's the green icon at the bottom with the symbol of a phone), and select the person in the book you want to send the message to.
2) Tap on the cloud symbol to the right of their cell phone number.  That brings up a screen with a "To" box at the top of the screen with the person's name.  Below is a blank field and below that a "Text Message" window.
3) Tap your finger inside that "text message" window; make sure that now the blinking blue vertical line is inside the "Text Message" window.
4) Then type in your text message and when you're done tap on "Send" at the right.
Hopefully this will work for you!!!

    Hello Livvyloo,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with iMessage.  I recommend the following steps for the issue you described:
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps first
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you have registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you have selected iMessage for use. Learn more abouttroubleshooting iMessage registration if the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. Learn more about troubleshootingcellular data or a Wi-Fi connection if a data connection isn't available.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while on a call if your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls.
    Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you are still unable to send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Verify that the contact you are attempting to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up orforward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact in the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.

There is nothing wrong with iMessage on your device.
The issue is with your sisters device and iMessage.

  • IMessage will not send to one person...

Ok so I have the iPod 4th generation. It is up to date but heres the problem. I am unable to send an iMessage to a person. I can type it, however, once I press send, I never get the little "delivered" note.Even restarting or resetting internet connection won't help. This is only happening to one person that I regularly message. Everyone else I can message to. The person who I am trying to message has an iPhone 4 and I'm not too sure what happened because we were just talking to each other yesterday. What is wrong? Is it long distance? Is the other person's iPhone not on or doesn't have iMessage not on? My internet connections works excellently. My iMessage is on and the Wi-Fi on my iPod is fine. Everything is in good standings, but my messages to that one person will not deliver (and give me that deliver note)

I was having the exact same problem with just one contact. Did all the resets, etc. I am copy and pasting below what worked for me, it was SO frustrating. Good luck and I hope it works for you.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, deselect all email addresses.
Go back one screen and turn off iMessages. Now go back a screen, and go to FaceTime, deselect all email addresses and turn off FaceTime.
    Wait 5 minutes.
Turn on iMessages, ensuring no email addresses are selected, it should then have your mobile number ticked. Do the same for FaceTime.
We have no idea why this works. It just does.
I would love to know if it solves your problem!

  • Imessage wont send but will recieve

My friend recently changed their blackberry to an iphone 5c and kept the same number. Imessages will send from their iphone to me, but my iphone 5 wont send them to their phone. I tried sending an imessage from my mac to my friends phone and it works and same from my ipad, its just my phone that wont send them, it just sends them as a normal SMS message. Anyone know how to help??

According to your explanation the problem is with your iPhone settings.
Turn Off iMessage and then go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Once the iPhone restarts enable the iMessage again.(Your Carrier will charge you one time activation Fee for the imessage activation. )

  • Sending texts; will send to one person, not two or more

Just switched messaging client from "Messages" to ATT messaging client. I can receive texts okay, and can send okay... except to just one person. When I add a second name (or more), I get a message that says, "Delivery failed. Tap and hold to resend". When I do that, it sort of freezes... the little wheel just keeps spinning with no end. I have to delete the message. What's up?

Is there a way to send multiple PDF documents from iBooks in one email?  I have several that need to be sent to one person and can't figure out how to send more than one at a time. If you can't, is there a workaround?

Warehouse that PDF on your own server, then link to it from your book.

  • Imessage wont send unless i add email in a seperate contact

i have just updated mine and the hubbys iphone 4 and mine works fine i can send imessages to family without any hiccups just by goin into my contacts findin them and sendin a txt as you normally wud except it says now imessage... but when i try and send to my hubby it says normal text message yet hes got the new software??? so i tryed his phone to text my cousin and it worked for imessage it just wont send to me unless i type my email in his phone and then it wil send as an imessage but then he has 2 boxes of messages from me 1 normal green tetxs and 1 imessage box in his messages when mine are all under the same messages he text me yesterday and when i replied testing earlier mine was sent in the same message list bit confusin to explain lol its very strange his is playing up yet works to everyone else and my family  just by using there numbers he has in his contacts already not emial as i dont have there emails yet he has to have my email to allow it to work??? any ideas???

about 10 minutes ago, we tested out if he was able to send to me, he was able to and i was able to send back.. to be honest, its pretty frustrating as to why this was such an issue for me and not for him, and was fixed with a single imessage from him (that up to 10 minutes ago was not accessible to me because he was not "registered"). Anyways everything is fine now. thank you!

  • IMessage not sending to one contact?

My iMessage has been fine for ages, and has just suddenly stopped sending to one contact in the middle of a conversation, but is still sending to other contacts. I've turned iMessage off and on, restarted my iPod and changed my wifi code but nothing has worked? Help!

I receive replies on iPhone 5 only, not on iPad which is the device causing problems for this one contact only.  The contact is using an iPhone 4, but so are other contacts with whom I have no problems. This problem started after March 17.

  • Imessage wont send pics but can send texts

i message wont send any pics but if i turn off imessage and send it as regular text it works but as soon as i turn imessage back on it wont send any pics to anyone i send it to.  It says that it is delivered but they never get it   any help please

I'm having the same problem too... Also when I try to send a message it doesn't go through, it says "Not Delivered" in red underneath the message. Also receiving messages is sometimes affected because my friend sent me an iMessage at 10am and I only received it at 11:46am.
I have a 4S and recently upgraded to iOS6. Is this something Apple is fixing? I tried searching for a solution or announcement of some kind but came up with nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Imessage wont send or receive photos

imessage is sending and receiving texts but not photos. What's the solution please.  I've checked updates, settings, etc. and can't seem to correct this?  Any suggestions!

    Sim[ple stuff first:
    1. Does your carrier support MMS (text messages with photos)
    2. You said you checked Settings but didn't tell us which ones. Is MMS turned on?
If the above answers are "Yes" for both, the next thing I would try is a reset of the phone. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

  • Imessage wont send

i try to send a message through imeassage and it wont send. What is the problem?

Do they have iMessage turned on?
Can they send messages to you via iMessage?
It's a simple setup issue... either they do not have iMessage turned on or something in the contact information on your device is not correct.

  • Changed my iTunes password, not iMessage wont send or receive SMS

Hi! Like the title says, I had to change my iTunes password and now iMessage on my macbook wont send or receive SMS messages when it did previously.  I have enabled messaging and FaceTime.  I've restarted all devices (iphone5s, iPad mini, and MacBook Pro) and updated iCloud and all passwords.  Everything else appears to have connected smoothly, except for this.   Any ideas how I can fix this?
    Thanks in advance!

I tried to post in a few others and kept getting this message.
