My imovie can't export video or preview it

I'm use "new iPad" with iOS6 beta 1
and I'm exporting movie with 1080p and it stopping process anymore about at 75% of guage
it not display any error code and don't stop export but guage is stop increase any future
It same as 720p too but when I've try by 320p it's work !
and if I bring more video file out off project and re export it in 1080p it work again and when I bring it back the problem is back too.

4 GB ram
2.4 GH processor
I have 3 topics in the activity monitor running at 9995 Mb real memory
loginwindow = 952 mb
systemUIServer = 950 mb
usereventagent = 940mb
has mountain lion just ate up my ram in operations

As long as the videos are in a format that can be used by iMovie, they will appear in your Event Browser, under 'iPhoto Videos.'

If you’ve imported video from your digital camera into iPhoto, it appears automatically in your iMovie Event Library (as long as the video is in a compatible format).

IOS7 Bugs? Can't export videos to youtube?

I've encountered a bunch of bugs so far. I thought iOS 7.0.2 would help it, but it's only made them worse! I have an iPhone 4S btw.
Bugs:
- Music controls don't always work when my phone is locked. This includes the music controls in the control center. I couldn't change songs, pause the song that was playing, etc...
- My screen blacks out when I slide to unlock my phone.
- I can't export videos in my camera roll to youtube. It keeps telling me my password or username are incorrect, but they aren't. I was hoping 7.0.2 would fix this.
- Emails aren't always updating. I've only seen this once or twice since I updated to 7.0.2, but in 7.0.0, they were working fine. I had that problem in iOS 6.1.3, but once I updated to 7, it seemed to be fixed. I've also noticed that the number of unread emails isn't always updating. I have to update it myself.
- Bluetooth keeps randomly turning itself on. I don't know why or how it's doing this, but I know I'm not turning it on.
- I noticed a problem with my brightness settings. I changed them (lowered it), and noticed it kept lowering itself even more. I kept changing it to where I want it, and it seems to be okay now.
- Siri keeps telling me she "Can't take any requests right now." I've got 3-4 bars, and my wifi signal is at max. I've also noticed that she takes 2-3x longer to respond to one of my requests. She doesn't pick up my voice as well as she did in 6.1.3.
- And is it just me, but my volume is way too low? That, or it's too high. The same goes for my alarms -- I can never hear them, no matter how high my ringer volume is.
I've been able to resolve some of these by restarting my phone, but I don't know if they'll come back or not... However, the youtube bug (and the Siri problem) are still there.

I had the same Problem with uploading youtube Videos from the Photos app until I tried the function for app specific passwords.
This is something Google offers for applications which don't support the 2way authentification.
I generated a new password for my ios7 youtube uploader and it instantly worked.
This should bring you to the correct page in your google account.

No to both. You need third party software to create WMV. Telestream has tools for this.

But I think you'll find that's because HDV is severely compressed: it consists of one full frame of video, followed by - for the next 14 potential frames - descriptions of what's different between that 'key' frame and each of the succeeding 14.
AIC creates proper, editable frames so that you can be frame-accurate with your editing, instead of being accurate to only every fifteenth frame (or half a second).
It's rather like using the HC1 HDV camcorder; it takes far longer from switch on, or selecting 'Record', to starting to actually recording video than it takes a normal DV camcorder, such as my old faithful TRV900. [..There's a bit of reassurance for Karl!..]
That's because instead of just recording the picture, it's got to do complicated maths to work out what's different between the first frame, and everything which follows that, and then "jot down" those differences in compressed MPEG-2 form. That produces small file sizes, and the ability to record hi-def with a standard-def tape drive and mechanism, but iMovie can't do frame-accurate editing with that kind of fifteen-frame uncertainty.
It's either one thing or the other; small file size, and inaccurate editing, or accurate editing and large file size. That's the HDV trade-off. I'll try and find out how Final Cut Pro resolves this difference..

IMovie can not export still pictures

I have this problem, since I updated to iMovie '11 today.
It does export regular videos but no still picture projects as it used to.
I bought, downloaded and installed iMovie from the new German AppStore and everything seemed fine.
Now I have created a project which includes still pictures only, with adjusted lengths and blendings.
This project is located on an external hard drive.
Whenever I try to export this project -so I can re-import it into iMovie in order be able to use those still pictures in my trailer- iMovie works on it for about 25 Minutes and does not report any errors. I have tried different locations for storage, but none of them results in a video file.
I have deleted the iMovie preferences, rebooted my MacBook, but with no result:
The exported video file is simply not there!
There is also no video file within the package of this project.
Any ideas? Please help!

I don't know why you can't export a movie, but there is no reason that you should have to make a slideshow so you can have photos in a trailer.
You can make the trailer. Then FILE/CONVERT TO PROJECT.
Now you can add photos, etc.

How can I export video without broken color gradient?

I recently use iMovie alot to AVCHD videos taken by my Panasonic GF2. The original video quality is really good. The gradient is smooth and beautiful. When it comes to export from iMovie. I always got broken gradient in dark area.
Can somebody tell me how to deal with this?

Can't Export Video from Final Cut Pro

After updated to OS Maverick, I can no longer export video from Final Cut Pro.
It pops up "The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.Compressor.CompressorKit.ErrorDomain error -1.)"
ANYONE CAN HELP??

10.0.2, I think this is where the problem is.
I will update to the latest (10.0.9) and update this thread to see if this will resolve my problem.

IMovie can't see videos in iPhoto

Hi Folks,
I'm a brand new Mac user (3 days) so please go very easy on me!!
I have searched using google and tried a few things so far as I know it's better to only come to forums as a last resort as most of the answers are already out there....Well I can't seem to find the answer to the question I have and would be very grateful if any of you seasoned folks could shed some light on a small issue I have...
iPhoto has all my videos and photos which were taken using an iPod 4 and an iPhone 4. I can see all the videos and photos perfectly in iPhoto and they all play perfectly.
iMovie is able to see the videos that have been imported to iPhoto that were taken on the iPod. Any videos that have been taken on the iPhone it can't see.
It isn't an compatability issue as if I export a video from iPhoto to my desktop and then manually load that into iMovie, the video plays.
I'm stumped......I have loads of videos swashing around my iPhoto account that I'm desperate to see and edit in iMovie, but it has only given me a fraction of those videos and they were all recorded on the iPod....
It's as if iMovie isn't able to see the iPhoto database and read all the videos. Should it be able to see the videos in iPhoto? (the drop down menu in iMovie suggests it should)
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Unfortunately I think this happens a lot to people and there's not a simple fix. As you discovered there is a workaround (export from iPhoto to the desktop, import into iMovie directly). But once the connection to iPhoto Videos in the Event Folder stops working, I haven't seen anyone write back to the group yet with a fix.
One thing I've suggested but doesn't seem to fix it is to try and repair the iPhoto Library. You can engage this function by holding down ⌘ Command key + Option key, then launch iPhoto.
Try different options, select different ones and let it run. Maybe try the permissions first? Maybe choose to rebuild all thumbnails? Then quit iPhoto and launch iMovie again and see if iPhoto Videos works in the Event Library.

IMovie can not export

I use iMovie to create stop motion video, but when I hit "export movie" and wait for about 3 minutes.
After it finish export movie, I can not find that file (.mov) in my Mac.
How to solve that problem?

*Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows.*
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Delete iMovie pref file
iMovie pref file resides.
Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences
and is named. (one or more of these)
com.apple.iMovie.plist
com.apple.iMovie3.plist
com.apple.iMovie7.plist
com.apple.iMovie8.plist
and find
com.apple.iApps.plist
While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this/these file/s out on to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.
• Hard disk is untidy. Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Garageband-fix. Start it, Play a note and Close it. Re-try (Corrects an audio problem that hinders iMovie)
• Screen must be set to Million-colors
• Turn off Mac and disconnect Mains/Power for 20-30 minutes - will at least re-set FW-port
• Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK (not relevant for iMovie’08 or 09)
• Problems in iPhoto Library can affect iMovie to crash on start-up. Re-build this first then try to re-start iMovie.

• Mac OS version ?

From LKN 1935. (in this case = iMovie HD (5), I tried it all, but nothing worked.
Your answer (above) has been helpfull insofar as all the different trials led to the conclusion that
there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled
iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos)
to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before.

I can't export video from final cut pro trial

I'm currently using final cut pro trial.
i have finished a project, and tried to export the video.
There's not "share" on tool bar, but there' one under "file" toolbar.
To share, i have to add destination, but I can't add any destination

The Share button is in your image. It's the last button in the toolbar and it appears active in your screen shot.

Can we export video on Adobe Connect 9 yet?

In Connect 7 (the last one I used), we had to export as a FLV and follow a series of steps just to convert it to a method that we can use to upload to YouTube, Vimeo, and basically make it viewable to everyone else in the world. Now with Connect 9, I'm wondering if they added an easier method to exporting the video.
To me it seems like a fundamental feature so I don't really understand the excuse of not having it. I hope they've waken up to 2013 and realized we need to export the video in a format we can actually use.

This functionality has not changed, but I believe that it is in the works for future releases of Connect.
