My iMovie flips upside down !

I'm running 10.8.5 software and OS6 on my phone. When I import a movie into my mac, then up load into iMovie the video is right side up. However when I import it into a project it flips upside down. Any suggestions ? Thanks

Acceleromiter out of whack. Screen, camera flip upside down for no reason.

Title says it all. Suddenly any app that can, will flip upside down as soon as it loads, and turning it over again doesn't change it. The camera app does it too. It's like no matter what, it's going to be oriented upside down. When I lock the screen orientation, it's fine except for apps that ignore that, like the camera app. Is there any way to recalibrate the accelerometer or something like that?

Hey,
Do you have rotation lock on; that would explain why the phone sticks to one view. If it is on rotation lock, you'll see a symbol like this on the top of your phone, near the time: http://media.photobucket.com/image/rotation%20lock/mike614007/Riddeam/th_Rotatio nLockButton2xiphone.png
If the lock is on, it can be turned off in the multi-tasking menu, next to the volume/music controls.

My screen flipped upside down

My computer screen flipped upside down on its own and even rebootting does not help. Anyone have a similiar problem?

Clicking on kudos didn't work, but I wanted to thank you nonetheless. I knew that approach but was so disoriented by the vertical 180 and by HP tech support's response that I forgot to try it. I bought a 2 year extension to the warranty and I'm still in the 1st year of the 3 (total). THEY HAD THE UNMITIGATED M 'n F 'n NERVE TO TELL ME I HAD TO PAY FOR 'PREMIUM TECH SUPPORT'. Those idiots are the new "Doolin Daltons" of the tech monsterscape. They're nothing more than hired guns who'll lie, cheat, and steal your $. I got a ditto from Lexmark for my Platinum Pro 905. Both HP and Lexmark are taking their lead from Microsoft. I think that we should have all seen it coming the moment 'Wild Bill & co. came up with their corporate name - do you really want to project the image of a "tool" that is both microscopic and flaccid? When I import a video from my PC into Itunes, it flips upside down, how do i fix that?

I created a video on my PC using Power Director 12, and it plays correctly. So, i imported the video into the iTunes app on the same PC, and in the viewing window, the video is upside down, when i copy it to the iPad it is upside down. I see posts concerning videos that were filmed upside down with the ipad, but that is not the case, this video played perfectly fine until it was imported into the itunes application, never leaving my PC. the file type is Mp4. I was wondering if there was anyone out there who knew how to prevent this from happening? or just why it is happening?

Are you asking how to use Photoshop?
Or are you asking for the dimensions of video iMovie uses?
It edits in 720P HD, which is 1280x720.
You can make it a bit bigger so you can zoom in.
Much bigger then this is a waste of time.

Flipping (upside-down) the image on the iMac display

My imac G5 20" (no iSight) sits way too high on my desk.
I want to turn it upside down so the screen is lower.
Is there a way to inverse the screen display? 3rd party software, etc...?

The foot is removable on the iMac G5 computers prior to the iSight version.
They did this so that you could install a wall-mount adapter.
But, if you do this, consider that you do need air-space under the iMac G5 for ventilation.
Probably your best bet would be to buy a wall-mount adapter from Apple, and then a Wall-Mount bracket from most electronics and home stores. Then you can set the height anywhere you want it.

Live Type iMovie 08 = Upside Down Text

Weird proble. Brand new MacBook, iMovie 08, Live Type, making short little movie and all is well in iMovie as far as viewing. Title created in Live Type is fine, once movie is exported (tried several formats), the Live Type text is flipped, and small in the upper left corner. I can't figure it out. Any ideas?

Hmmm.. I removed the plist and for the time being it seems to have worked. Is this a common problem with 10.5.x and iMovie? I have used iMovie for year and never had a problem. What's especially odd is it was occurring in both iLife 08 and iLife HD.
Since this is a new MacBook I have yet polluted my system with my own installs, but one of the installs I have done is the Perian codec. I am wondering if that has anything to do with the issue.

100% width accordion panel flipped upside down

i would like to use an accordion panel flipped 180 at 100% width for a pop up footer. it doesn't seem like this is supported at this time, just would like confirmation or some direction on how to make it happen. would love to see this supported, as it would really add some awesome possibilities. thanks in advance.

You can try rotated accordion and place that in footer with contents in container, there us no direct widget for such a 180 degree footer but you can try the rotated setting of accordion.

Weird problem: video that flips upside down after editing

I have just edited a story for an emagazine. The strange thing is after I have gotten all the transitions completed and the whole thing rendered the video will play back and flip the video after the transitions on parts of the story. For example, I have a fade in at the start of the story. The video fades in fine then flips. The video then flips back to the proper angle when my title drops into the package. Then when the title disappears the video flips once again until the first soundbyte. The soundbyte stays the proper angle as well. I'm not sure what the problem is. If you know the solution I would really appreciate the suggestion. Thanks in advance for any and all help, too!

The original material is video shot on my iPhone 4. I've edited it in Final Cut Pro in the past and had no problem. I'm sure it might be something I missed. But I can't figure out what the setting would be since there is no difference in what I edited shot on the iPhone 4 and what I shot now.

Is there a fix to upside down text from EMF images

The text from an EMF image is being flipped upside down during the conversion from word to PDF when using the acrobat add-in. I hope you can see from the images. However, when using the acrobat print drivers, the text from the EMF converts just fine. Unfortunately, you can't use the auto create bookmarks feature this way. What is causing the text from EMF files to be flipped upside down? Is this a bug? Has this been reported yet?

That is really strange. It appears you are using OFFICE 2007 or 2010. There are some issues with MS, but this one is weird. Check that you are using the same job settings for both cases. You are using high-quality-print for PDF Maker. It might be worth checking the print with the same job settings. I am not proposing a solution, but some trouble shooting to be done. Also, please indicate the versions of WORD and Acrobat that you are using.
If you have a way to try a different vector format other than EMF, that might give you some idea of where the problem lies.

[Air 3.2] Windows 7 - Video Display upside down!

Hi, after upgrading many Windows client machines from 3.1 to 3.2 (being prompted to do so automatically by Air updater) my air applications are displaying the Video content upside down. the Mac machines are so far ok after the 3.2 air update.
My air application has not changed. I even dowloaded the 3.2 sdk and recompiled the app on windows, but the Video is still flipped along the Y axis (flipped upside down).
Here is how I am using the Video:
video=new Video(uic.width,uic.height);
uic.addChild(video);
video.attachNetStream(screenNS);
screenNS.play(name);
Any clues, is this a known bug?

My testing team reported a bug which said there was a problem with seeking the video. I am using mx:VideoDisplay component and the problems surfaced after upgrading to 3.2 runtime. Why I am saying this is I have 3.1 sdk with my FB and this problem is not there when I debug the app, but when I export a build and install it, the problem begins with 3.2 runtime runtime. I was not aware of this difference as the update happens automatically. Is there any solution to go around this one? Also, I am now downloading the 3.2 sdk so that I can try debugging with 3.2 environ.
Video display is straight forward, but the problem occurs only when I try to seek it or maximize the display, ie, when we have to deal with playheadtime.

Orientation Screen stuck upside-down and freezing

iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8
My phones home screen flips upside down when the orientation moves around then freezes in that orientation. It also happens while in the messaging app when it goes in landscape mode. They only way I can get t back to normal is by shutting my phone down then turning it back on. Help!
Im wondering if this issue is a software problem/bug or a hardware problem?

I have been having this same issue repeatedly for the past few days as well. My home screen as well as other apps like safari or messages also get stuck in landscape mode or upside down after unlocking my phone. Since this issue is not isolated, Apple needs to address it with an update if it is just a software issue. This is certainly annoying, and it is ruining my user experience.

I have reported this problem from the beginning of the MBP release back in February.
They have not solved it during any of my repairs.
I have found the following helps, but does not solve:
1. Disconnecting and reconnecting the magsafe power adapter
2. Resetting your PMU
3. Locking your Energy settings by clicking the lock in the lower left hand corner
It seems to be a software bug that is somehow potentially related to the screen saver. When you shut your screen saver off... it sometimes disappears.

Im having a similar issue with my iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8. My issue is with the home screen and text screen being stuck and or freezing in place. The home screen will flip upside down and stay that way and with my messages if I rotate the phone in landscape view it sometimes stays stuck or freezes in that view. I have to turn my phone off and on to get it back to normal.
I also contacted apple support and they advised me to do a fresh restore which I did with iOS 8 but it still happened shortly after. Apple said that if the problem persists to bring it to an apple store for repair or replacement. Im thinking its a software issue because when I researched it on the internet it appears people with iPhone 5's and 5s's are experiencing the same or similar issues and orientation freezes. I just recently upgraded to iOS 8.0.2 and will monitor it and see if the issue was fixed. So fingers crossed that iOS 8.0.2 fixes it.

I'll put in my 2 cents for this app. Works GREAT with iSight and QT Pro and iMovie HD. Seen it pop up on other apps (iChat for one) but rarely use it on for these few apps. Safari opens iGlasses for some reason... Anyone know why?
