My import FM is going DUMP

Hi All,
I have import request and i got sucess .My 3 function modules are import to client system.2 FM are working properly but 1 function module is going for DUMP.
I have gone dump analysis its saying
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_IMPORT_MISMATCH_ERROR',
was neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
"MO_IMPORT_MODIFICATIONS" "(METHOD)"
"Length error occurred during the IMPORT statement."
"The system found when importing that the target object was longer or
shorter than the object to be imported."
where did i mistake while import ? or while transport?
That FM is working properly in our DEV.

I activated MM06E005 using SMOD t-code.
if run ME41 system going dump and it is saying
Program "SAPLXM06" tried to use screen 0301.
The screen does not exist.
Can any body help what may be the wrong.

Hi,
The FMs in the enhancement MM06E005 are for importing and exporting values to and from the screens mentioned in the Screen Areas tab in SMOD.
So unless you activate the screens you can't use the FMs.

Hard Drive: The Hard Drive is on my camera (Sony Handycam)
Just needed some info on what is going on with your particular system.
Knowing the exact camera model will also assist us.
If this camera is standard AVCHD you should be able to connect with USB to Mac with FCE open and use Log and Transfer without all the fiddling around converting etc.
What FCE does during ingest is convert files to AIC. (Apple Intermediate Codec)
FCE cannot read the individual files in the BDMV folder, that's why all the converting is required when you use that method.
BTW: regards formatting drives/cards/memory on cameras; it is wise to use the actual device to format rather than a computer. This is a prime cause of read/write goof ups with solid state media. This applies to still or video cameras.
Keeping the COMPLETE card/memory structure in tact is vital for successful transfers.

Ztable going dump

hi all,
here is my problem . I have ztable with some 1000 records. According to new requirement i changed the domain of a field String to dec. then went se14 adjust & activate.. now table was going dump.
plz give me suggestions where i am went wrong.

Hi Raju,
First of all, activate the Domain and the data element. Then activate the table.
You are not required to delete any data, as the string could contain any form of data such as packed decimal or integer. When you modify the data type of the domain, it will just change the type, but there won't be any kind of checking with the data you created.
you need to delete your maintenance generator that you have created priviously and generate new maintenance generator.
Hope it will solve the problem of dump.
Please check and reply in case of dump again.

HR ABAP Posiition Holder Org Unit value going dump

Hi Experts,
I am working now HR ABAP. My issue is, I am using standard Program RHXPEP01. This Program is nothing but. Profile Match up Position/Holder.
Once i execute this program and enter the value of Org. Unit Value is 60010128. Then after 15mints it will be going dump.
The error message is going to many iterations are going on.
If I execute 60010129 it is working fine. This Org Units are avilable in Production.
Can you plz help me on this.

ALV's can be run in background if you use a docking container instead of a custom container.
Please search the forum for "ALV in background". You will find tons of threads with solutions.

Copy of transction MD05 to ZD05 going dump.

Hi experts,
I have copied the transacion MD05's prorgram SAPMM61R to ZSAPMM61R with some changes. But it is going dump. I checked the program in debugging. In the include MM61RF30_DISPOLISTE_SAMMEL the structures CM61X and CM61B are not getting data.
Also I checked the standard program also in debugging mode. I didn't find where these structures are getting data.
Help needed sooner or later..

Missing important image functions - going for Hype

I made a product presentation with a meny system and aniamtions using Edge.
I unfortunatelly found some very important functions were missing.
So I´m going for Hype now, that has got all of these.
So all the job has to be doe again :-(
I didn´t find any feedback area for Edge Animate, so I´m putting it here. The things missing are:
- Automatic Image optimization (like in Muse)
- No support for PSD
- No retina support
- Can´t replace image, e.g from PNG to JPG (I made it thou by editing the JS-file, but that seems scary)
These are all small matters for Adobe to fix and I suppose they are doing this in the future.
I really like Edge Animate thou, but since it lacks important workflow functions I can´t use it in production.

Thanks. Yes, that worked.
I actually didn´t find this because in all other Adobe applications, this is done from the Library panel.
I really stress the importance for you to make your/Adobe applications the same. We users love Adobe apps, but are really not liking the unnecessary different solutions in some of them. It´s frustrating and a complete waste of time.
I actually remade the whole animation using (Tumult) Hype.
It´s much easier to work with. Edge seems good to work with Javscript, but with Hype editing Javascripts is not as much necessary since there are pre-made solutions.
You should also look into some things Hype has that is really important:
- Automatic generation of Retina images
- Automatic resampling of images
- Scenes (a very nice way to work)
All in all, Hype is much more efficient to work with.
A thing that I do want in Edge (and Hype) is
- When using Photoshop originals, it should be possible to set how each image should be exported, i.e as JPG (and setting quality) or PNG.
In the real practical user world, we do only want ONE image to carry around for different purposes, it.e web, animations, videos, print.
And when designing (doing layout) in i.e Edge, I do not always from start know if the image could be in JPG or if it must PNG because it is e.g. overlapping.
The feature of settings export options for Photoshop images, I also would like to see in Muse. As well as Retina support in Muse that i REALLY want.
I like Edge (and really like Muse), but as it is now, selection Hype is an easy choice over Edge.
I hope that you do update Edge to support an extremely good workflow - then I will certainly selected Edge, since I already do pay for it anyway

Hi, man&mouse-
Please note that there is a way to swap images, though it will try to fit the new image into the old dimensions.
Select your image element
In the properties panel, look at the Images section
Next to the image name, select the double arrow key
Select your new image (must already be in the Library)

MARA table going DUMP due to append structure

Hi all,
I have created the structure and i have Appended to MARA table. Since then MARA Table is Partially Active State. So, i tried to delete the structure. But i am unable to delete that Structure, because it was used in MARA Table. Even i tried SE14 Transaction also.Here i did Adjust and Activate table, But it is showing SHORT DUMP. Even if check the Error in SE11, it is showing "No inconvience found, but i activate the table again it is going to dump ".
How to solve this .
My requirement is to bring back the MARA table into its origional state. and how to delete the Appended structure in MARA table ?

Hi,
An APPEND structure is a DDIC structure that is assigned to a single DB table. In the ABAP dictionary (SE11) you call the corresponding DB table and create the APPEND structure for this table.
In which scenario do we create APPEND structures? Obviously, the attributes available in the DB table are not sufficient to meet your requirements. Thus, you append the missing fields to the table.

Going Dump in J2IU

whil executing the transaction J2IU in ECC 6.0 it is going to dump can any body please let me know why it is going for dump i have even searched for notes. I didnt find any relevant notes also. please let me know.

Yes It is going for a dump, i have faced the same problem the basic reason is
While executing the transaction J2IU it is calling a subroutine determine_default_values in the program J_1IUPBO. Then that subroutine is there in the other program SAPMJ1II.
While sending the parameters the structures in the calling program and called program are different.
The TOTALS structure in main program is,
DATA : BEGIN OF TOTALS ,               "structure to store the total val
          BED     LIKE J_1IEXCHDR-EXBED,
          AED     LIKE J_1IEXCHDR-EXAED,
          SED     LIKE J_1IEXCHDR-EXSED,

Import catalogue .. going mad: need help Please

o.k. i backed up catalogue from C: drive on xp to ehdd labeled h:/. now trying to import into lr 3 with win 7 from h:/ to C:/ no go. i get the number of images for all photos and all subs but no images after 9 hours. no activity on H:/ nor C: drive. do i copy catalogue to .lrcat to c then open?? if you can help i would be grateful. i have 7,600 images.

Sounds to me like it is not your profile. If your profile is not available, Windows will create a new one.
Let's try to repair your real profile from the Recovery Environment. This works for Windows 7 too.

Importing roles from a dump file question..

Hi All,
Is there a way of importing (using imp) ONLY roles from a dump file?
I have a dump file of a database from an oracle 9i - version 9.2.0.3 that I'm trying to import into oracle 11g. The import complains about roles not existing and the grants fails due to that.
Is there a way to import the roles 1st from the dmp file so that when I import the grants (grants=Y) I won't be getting these sort of errors:
IMP-00003: ORACLE error 1917 encountered
ORA-01917: user or role 'RppT_ALL_ROLE' does not exist
IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 1917:
"GRANT UPDATE ON "LOCATION_CONTACT" TO "RppT_ALL_ROLE""

I'm guessing that you're referring to run this on the 9i database and then copy the output to the 11g DB if I'm not mistaken!?
Not possible as I don't have access to the 9i database. The DB is on the client side and they've given us a dump file. I'm trying to import the dump and then validate objects counts.
Is there a way to directly import the roles from the dmp file?
