My inbox has been wiped clean on iCloud!?! What happened?

I would appreciate help on this one as I am seriously concerned.
I migrated from @mac (mobileme) to iCloud a couple days ago.  My iMac and MBPro.  Mail migrated fine - set up just one account and all mail was moving nicely.  Then this evening I decided to start responding to several important emails sitting in my inbox.  Clicked on the inbox and discovered to my horror that it was completely empty.  That was on my laptop.  So I went to my iMac and took a look.  It had been idle so I could see that there was a substantial number of emails sitting in the inbox but when I clicked on the mail application to activate it - it "updated" and everything disappeared.
Logged onto my iCloud account on-line and after some frustrating delay - managed to get in and found that everything was completely gone from my inbox.  So clearly the synching is working great BUT what happened to my emails?!?
Has anyone else experienced this?  What should I do?  At this point I am considering sending all my email via google if I can't trust the apple servers.

    Then I'm sorry.  If your iPad is wiped clean and you have no backup, there is nothing to help you.......Of course you can redownload your apps, even paid for ones, as long you use the same Apple ID you purchased them with.  As for pics, music, etc., you can sync them back to your iPad via iTunes and your computer.  You can set up your mailboxes again, but there's no magic bullet to get your iPad back easily.  Let this be a lesson and once you've got your iPad set up again, BACK IT UP.

    There is a firmware update applicable to B&W G3 models, and it is strongly recommended that be installed prior to installing OSX. It can be installed while the machine is booted to OS 9 on its hard drive.

    It's a good idea to print out the readme that accompanies the updater.
    Note - if you are not sure whether that firmware update has been installed, it is okay to run the update installer - if the firmware has already been updated, the updater's installer will state that and refuse to run further.

    There are several tools available for moving the library on your iPod to iTunes.
    Google for CopyPod or Yamipod.

  • I can not find my serial number to upload my illustrator since my computer has been wiped clean

    I am a new office worker and the person before me had Adobe Illustrator and had saved some documents using that. They wiped my computer clean and I when I tried to load the program I realized I do not or can't find the serial numbers. I still have the sleeve the disc was in but there is nothing on that. The box has a series of letters and numbers but the letters won't enter into the screen asking for the serial number.

    if the program was registered with adobe and you know the account used, you can check on adobe.com, https://www.adobe.com/account.html
    otherwise, you will need to contact someone that knows where to retrieve that serial number.

    You can also go to http://www.everymac.com and click on iBook and if you have more information on the year, etc, of the iBook you can find out what operations system it came with.  Then see if you can find the appropriate operating system for sale at eBay or similar.  If you do that, make sure you get a retail version and not a version with grey disks...those are machine-specific and probably will not work in your iBook.

    It tells you to go to Error 13 and 14 if you receive error (-50).
    Here is what I have tried...
    Error 13 and 14: These errors are typically resolved by performing one or more of the steps listed below:
    Perform USB isolation troubleshooting, including trying a different USB port directly on the computer. See the advanced steps below for USB troubleshooting. I have moved it around to different ports.
    Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer. Didn't change anything.
    Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.
    Eliminate third-party security software conflicts. Removed all virus protection and firewall.
    There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.Used the Microsoft fix it.
    Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online. Doesn't matter.
    Try to restore from another known-good computer and network. I do not know how to do this or how to find the correct/full/complete restore point. There should be more information for this.

    Make sure your headphones are plugged in all the way, meaning you cannot see any of the silver still showing from the headphone's plug. 
    A feature of the Nano is to put it to sleep when the display goes out and it does not detect any headphones.

    - Have you tried the troubleshooting here:
    iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - You can try disabling the camer notification

    - Do you have any camera, scanner or similar software installed?  That may prevent iTunes from seeing the iPod.
