My incoming mail server stopped working for the 3rd time Help?

This is the third time my incoming mail server stopped working any suggestions on how to repair this?

If Apple replaced the logic board three times for the same issue, and the third board has now broken for the same reason, you may be able to ask Apple for a replacement machine. You're out of warranty, and Apple is under no obligation to do anything for you (unless the current logic board was replaced by Apple less than 90 days ago in which case it's still under warranty), however, as a good will gesture, they may be willing to exchange your system for another one. You can start at the Apple store or call Apple customer care directly.

    You'll first need to have iTunes on your computer - from the summary page (the one that opens when you select the iPad in iTunes) it'll give you options for backing up and restoring it. On that page just select 'restore iPad' and that'll get it started.
    Hope it's just software then, those out-of-warranty replacements can get pricey.

    Have tried those few things that seem to be still applicable to version 11 (as you will know it is not being maintained and stops at version 8).  
    However, I don't understand what is meant by "sometimes deleting it's saved preferences and registry entries fixes the problem.  To do that see these Adobe Tech. notes."   Unfortunately the link goes to a page which no longer exists.  I guess that rather than "deleting" the saved preferences the author means re-setting to default ?   "Deleting registry entries" is a task which should, as I understand it, only be done by those with a high degree of expertise.  I am not one of them !
    Any comment you have will be gratefully received.

    Why can't either mail communicate with the server.  I'm running OSX 10.6.8 and have checked my mail settings repeatedly.

    In Mail's Window Menu, choose Connection Doctor, any red dots for status, if so what is the message?
    Then click the Show Details button & Check again.
    The Password rejection can confuse people since it's a catch all meaning...
    This Password, Username, Authentication method... is not recognized on this Port to this Server, or a server end problem.
    If using a browser to login via WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but one of the other ones.
    The receiving email ports are:
    IMAP is port 143
    IMAP-SSL is port 993
    POP is port 110
    POP-SSL is port 995
    Outgoing ports are...
    SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users.

    It is only the link to your emails which are 'stored' on your iPad. You will have to enter all proper email addresses to get the message associated with them, which, in practice,  means multiple accounts. If all still does not work try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release].

    2) once logged in successfully, go to this URL to unlock:

    After getting those 'free apps' from the app-store (directly with my iPhone3G)... they all worked fine for 1-2 days. I ran them many times without problems.
    Now they all stopped working at the same time. (They attempt to load... their main screens appear... then they just exit back to HOME instead.) Web-apps and built-in Apple software, all works fine.
    I've tried powering the iphone up/down several times.
    I've also tried deleting 1-2 of the apps from the phone... and the re-syncing.
    Same problem.
    Are there 'fixes' better than:
    Drive 1,000 miles back home and re-sync all your apps.
    Restore the phone and lose all my settings.
    Search, find, download, and re-install all the apps over again. (What if I had >100????)
    I need a 100% reliable phone... all the time.
    At any time... all my apps might instantly stop working for unknown reasons???

    The latest version of iTunes tends to act up occassionaly. See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 and remove and reinstall iTunes. This will not affect your music library, apps or other content in iTunes. Make sure you follow the steps exactly.
    Also, just copying the ringtone will not get it into your phone. iPhone ringtones have an extension of m4r, and you have to first take the Media player file and covert it to an AAC version. From there you need to change the extension from m4a to m4r. If you cannot see file extensions in Windows Explorer, which is actually the default action, go into Organize>Folder and search options, then hit the View tab, and then remove the checkmark by hide file extensions from known file types. After you have created the m4a version and changed the file extension, you can double-click on it and it should show up in the Tones folder in iTunes. From there, sync the phone and it should show up in the list of ringtones.

    The warranty is only good in the U.S.
    You woulod have to send it to someone in the U.S.  They could take it in and if it is defective, then it would be replaced.

    Which version of Audition? With the latest version of Audition running on a Windows 7 machine I can't get a dropdown menu at all when I left click on the time in Markers List. The only way to do it is with cntrl-c.

    You only need to purchase Numbers once for each OS. Have you tried connecting your iPhone to your Mac via iTunes & adding Numbers there?

    The iOS versions of the iWork apps are "universal' & there is no reason to have to buy the iPhone version first.
