My Indesign and Photoshop trials have updated but will not open?

I have recently purchased a MacBook Pro and with it, I have installed a trial of Creative Cloud. After downloading the trials of Photoshop and Indesign, I was asked to update them. After completing the updates instead of allowing me to launch the trial as I have only been trialing the products for a day, it simple comes up with "updated" in faded letters and there seems to be no way to launch the programs through the creative suite.
Sorry if this is a realy trivial questions which I haven't found the answer for but its very frustrating!

You do not launche the programs via application manager, you launch them via your operating system's start menu/dock/launchpad/from the program folder.
