My InDesign Doesn't start up
Hi all
I've been experiencing major problems with my Adobe Suit ever since I installed it. The only apps that Im able to use (that do startUP) are Photoshop, Adobe Professional and Bridge. InDesign, along with the others, do not start up at all. But If I go to my task manager, they appeal as running.
My system is 2G RAM, 1.6GHz AMD.
Please help me.

Actually, like the G4 Macs, which aren't supported either, it will install, but what happens after that is anyone's guess.

So why does the installer bother to do a sytem check? Does it at least throw a warning?

InDesign doesn't start on MacBook Pro 15" Mountain Lion
Hi,
Adobe InDesign CS5 is the only program of the Adobe Collection that gives me troubles.
I don't manage to open any existing document nor create a new one.
Here's what I do:
1. Launch the application Adobe InDesign CS5;
2. Select "Create a New Document";
3. Set the New Document settings;
4. Press "OK"
The window of the new document opens but it doesn't become active and keeps waiting until I Force Quit.
MacBook Pro 15" (mid. 2010)
Processor: 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 256MB
Software: OS X 10.8.4 (Mountain Lion)
NOTE: recently I experienced a major problem with my logic board and discovered it is a common issue among MacBooks mid. 2010 / early 2011. Luckly I had it replaced for free. Link to the issue on Apple support site: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4088?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
don't know if this has any connection to my current problem.

Please, help me! this is causing loads of problems at work too...
Thank you in advance.

Since yesterday InDesign doesn´t start.
I don´t know what happened?! I have a new laptop with newest programmes. InDesign did not work properly since the beginning (it sometimes shut down, but okay)....since yesterday I can´t start the programme any more and I always read the error: ""Adobe InDesign CC2014 does not work any more. The programme shuts down because of a problem."....What shall I do?
Since you say it never worked right from the beginning, you should probably uninstall and reinstall.

My Indesign doesn't start up anymore.
My name is Edmée and my recently bought CC program Indesign has stopped working. Other CC programs works fine.
After start-up screen there is a message that ID has stopped working (in Dutch) and that there is no solution at the moment.
What can be wrong, and how can it be solved?
Can anyone help me please?
I need ID for my study and I am a novice user in CC, so any good tips are welcome.I have already tried uninstalling and installing InD but that doen't helped.
It stops while starting up with the Adobe startscreen is displaing 'Busy with installing Trackers'.
My windows version is Windows 8.1. -
Indesign CS5 doesn't start properly
My Indesign CS5 doesn't start.
I can't see the program start, but if i go to the "active processes management" i can see it running.
So, the program starts but i can't see his interface.
My OS is W7 professional.
This problem is affecting me since one week.
I tried to uninstall and then reinstall it without results.
PS. I have a Premium CS5 Suite, and the other programs works finely.
Thanks for the supportCiao Peter,
finally i got it! The problem was about the ID focus, where the application load.
I have two monitor, managed by nView desktop manager. So ID was loaded far from my desktop, i don't know why.
But most strange of all, ID was not showed in the application tab in the "active processes management" .
So i disabled nview manager and ID appear.
But this is a big bug of ID, which Adobe must manage.
Thank you so much for your help.

Dreamweaver CS5 doesn't start, cannot find configuration file
Dreamweaver Could not locate the Resource file in the Configuration folder. This file is required to run Dreamweaver. Please reinstall the application.
Dreamweaver CS5 doesn't start due to the error message above.
Found the configuration folder but on my roaming profile on the server, not on C drive.
Note that I installed Dreamweaver on the second partition of the hard disk, not on C drive due to lack of space. Other Adobe CS5 software are running well such as Photoshop and InDesign.
I have tried to delete (after backup) the Configuration folder, as I read on this forum that it should be automatically recreated, but no success. Tried to copy the Configuration folder (in fact the entire Adobe folder) to the user profile on C drive, but no success.
On this PC, no previous version of Dreamweaver has been installed. However, I have used older versions on different computers, and there are in the Adobe folder on my roaming profile traces of CS4 and CS6.
Could you please advise?Not sure which thread you have read on this forum but I suggest read this official document and then see if resolves any lingering problems.

Indesign doesn't launch.
Hi,
I just intalled In Design program in my computer, but when I launch it, it doesn't start, and a message appears: "Indesign is not working anymore. Close the program", and I'm not able to start.
I did instalation properly and I have other Adobe programs, as Photoshop or Premiere, and they work fluently.
How can I solve it, please?
Thank you very much.I see you posted in the Spanish forum as well, and it looks like you mentioned there that it was the trial version, so I'm going to assume that it is CC.
I don't know if the trial is currently CC9.0, or CC9.1, but if it's still 9.0, there is a font issue which is probably the cause of your problem. See if you are able to download the 9.1 update from Creative.Adobe.Com, or if you are not able to do that, see Crash | Launch, selecting Type tool -
after i updated photoshop, indesign and illustrator cc
bridge doesn't start (crash until starting)Have you searched the forum? There are several similar reports.

Illus. + Indesign Crash upon start
I have the premium suite and am having trouble getting Illus. and Indesign to start. All other programs work. Illustrator starts and allows you to see the menu to chose a new document or open one. Upon choosing, it quits. No other program is affected. Indesign doesn't get that far.
Reviewing the crash log, "thread 0" seems to be the culprit for both. They both run through the first 9 steps and at step 10, they repeat the step for about 500 rounds and don't recover. The step looks like this:
(illustrator)
9 AdobeAGM 0x015c9afc AGMInitialize + 1546628
(indesign)
9 AdobeAGM 0x007617bc AGMInitialize + 1541180
I've reinstalled three times now and am still getting the same error. Any suggestions?I kept having the same problem, only now it happened after I saved things when art was placed in the document or converting from CMYK to RGB. Same error on the log when it crashed as before. I'm on a network at school, and I found that by making the default printer to make a pdf instead of a printer that I may, or may not be connected to, fixed my problem. At least currently. It seems to work and save now. If anything is updated, I'll post.

How do I fix a initializing problem with my macbook pro? I only get to the blank screen with the apple logo and the "processing something" sign... it just doesn't start the system....
Please help
MarceloIf there is no loading bar, it's usually a problem with a third party kext file in OS X itself.
You can press the power button down to force a hardware shutdown, then reboot holding the shift key down on a wired or built in keyboard, this will disable them and you go around and update your third party software.
Gray, Blue or White screen at boot, w/spinner/progress bar
Also take this time to backup your users files off the machine if possible.
Most commonly used backup methods
Sometime that won't work and you need to do more

Chromium doesn't start and suspend, shutdown don't work occassionally
Hello,
I have this problem on my laptop but since chromium doesn't start on my desktop either, I don't think it's specific to laptops.
When I try to start chromium in a terminal, I get a blank window (I can tell because I use spectrwm):
ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by environment.
[25148:25148:0215/130205:ERROR:background_mode_manager_aura.cc(14)] Not implemented reached in virtual void BackgroundModeManager::EnableLaunchOnStartup(bool)
I temporarily resorted to using Firefox instead, but at times it just freezes up while opening some pages. After that point, even killing firefox doesn't help: the system load level keeps on rising. I used pidof to check if firefox is still running, but I had no output from pidof. After having firefox to freeze, shutdown, suspend, etc don't work. The laptop goes to a black screen state, but the power LED remains on indefinitely.
These might be two separate issues, but they started together on my laptop.
Thanks in advance!

It started happening after upgrade:
[2015-02-15 09:43] [ALPM] upgraded chromium (40.0.2214.94-1 -> 40.0.2214.111-1)
I was wondering if it has anything to do with some X-related upgrades:
[2015-02-15 09:42] [ALPM] upgraded xorg-server-common (1.16.3-2 -> 1.16.4-1)
[2015-02-15 09:43] [ALPM] upgraded xorg-server (1.16.3-2 -> 1.16.4-1)
[2015-02-15 09:48] [ALPM] upgraded xorg-server-devel (1.16.3-2 -> 1.16.4-1)
[2015-02-15 09:45] [ALPM] upgraded nvidia (346.35-5 -> 346.35-6)
I tried to downgrade chromimu to 40.0.2214.94-1 and it didn't help. I tried to downgrade nvidia, xorg-server and xorg-server-devel to previous versions, when everything worked and X chouldn't start.
Other observations are that if I start chromium, the ps command hangs and I have to reboot the system to be able to use ps command again.
Linux lisa 3.18.6-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Feb 7 08:44:05 CET 2015 x86_64 GNU/Linux
It's worth mentioning that I also run spectrwm, like SgrA, however i don't have other issues with freezing on shutdown etc. -
