My infocus projectors no longer sync properly with my macboo
I have LP540 and LP640 InFocus LCD projectors. They used to connect just fine, but now the screen image either gets clipped or is shoved way to the right of the projection. I have all the proper cables and adapters. I've tried all the possible orders of connection to no avail. I have no problems with the 1I'm running 10.6.8 on a 13" white MacBook
No, I unchecked that after moving the TV shows over manually. I was hoping it would have magically fixed itself, and I dread the idea of having to move my pocasts over that way.

I have an iPod touch which no longer syncs normally. It will let me have a small proportion of my music library even though I have 2000 songs checked. Says its syncing but doesn't add the rest of my music. It lets me have my podcasts but only let's me have one movie, I appear to have only used half the capacity but if I check even one movie the capacity suddenly shoots up to full. I have tried restoring, resetting and have checked all my settings. I'm hoping someone out there has some ideas.

Both my iPod touch and iPad have been syncing properly with iTunes, until todat that is. I downloaded iTunes 11.1.5 and now iTunes isn't showing up/reading/detecting any of my devices. I can no longer sync both my iPod touch and iPad. Please HELP

Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

Also note that the calender can be set to preserve a time zone by going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and turning ON Time Zone Support - but then your flight times will be correct for the local time zone...found that one while on travel and the calender was showing a flight time that was an hour earlier than I thought it was. I had not turned on Time Zone support and it moved the time I had entered at home to the time of the local zone.

Not Syncing Properly with Gmail
Hello fellow Mac owners/fans,
I am new to Snow Leopard. Just upgraded from Tiger today. Such a nice improvement! Anyways, as such, I was setting everything up when I ran into a problem with Mail
Mail is not syncing properly with Gmail. My Gmail account has roughly 5800 total messages and 1900 unread messages (I need to clean it up quite a bit, I know ). Mail shows it as having 8500 total messages and 2200 unread messages. Mail is quite wrong. I don't know if I accidentally fetched some of the Gmail files twice, or what, but I would like for Mail to be correctly synced with Gmail.
Any ideas on what to do? Is there a quick fix or am I going to have to reset Mail?

You may have the dreaded double download disease. I was just fighting the bug this morning, and may have a cure that I am hoping some other guinea pig will test.
You may want to check and see if you see duplicate emails in Mail. If you want to know more about the issue you can search duplicate emails.
Anyway the secret medicine if it is a duplicate issue may be below. (It seems to be working for my issue, but am trying to get some other confirmation)
I came across an old hint (from 2001 at Mac OS X hints)
It states:
Avoid receiving duplicate emails in Mail.app
Sun, Dec 23 2001 at 9:54AM PST • Contributed by: NikWest
There is a hidden default for Mail, which I do not think has been mentioned here. You can avoid receiving duplicate Messages (e.g. from mailing lists) by opening a Terminal and typing:
defaults write com.apple.mail UniqueMessagesBeforeRouting 1
Before receiving the whole message, the message ID (a mail header) will be checked. If there's already a mail with this message ID, it will be discarded.
To disable the feature, repeat the command with a '0' at the end instead of a '1'.
This seems to work for now, any one else willing to try?

Contacts on my iphone does not sync properly with icloud. I have merged data with facebook contacts, and this merged information appears as I want it to be on icloud.com. But on the iphone, the facebook contacts and the icloud contact appear separately.
I have tried exporting the contacts out of icloud.com, then deleting all contacts on both icloud.com and on the iphone; then importing the vcard back into icloud.com, but the facebook details still appear as a separate contact. It is too time consuming to merge all of my contacts manually What should I do in order for the iphone to display the contacts as it is on icloud.com?Is there some sort of Facebook tag on the vCard?

ICal To-Do list does not sync properly with Mail To-Do list
For some reason, my iCal To-Do List does not sync properly with my Mail To-Do list. Any thoughts on how to get them to sync properly? I always have more To-Dos on my Mail list than my iCal list, which probably means that when I complete a To-Do in iCal, it doesn't register with Mail.
Any thoughts?ensure that your mail set up is checked for syncing note; your comment on the todo list is valid and i have been asking the same question for a while. ToDo also syncs on blackberry? I guess it shows that third party software is the kick that come corp's need to pick up their act.

Why does my aol mail not sync properly with the Droid Razr? Never had the problem with blackberry but now I deal with a great deal of spam & duplicating tasks
This may sound stupid, but I'm gonna throw it out there anyway. Is it possible, that if I have enough junk on my desktop it might disrupt the signal? It seems odd, but it kind of looks like my signal is strong and relatively steady now that I've cleaned my desktop. I do tend to get very cluttered. I use a lot of reference images and save text clippings to use later... it just piles up very quickly.
So, I wonder if all that extra effort my system has to do keeping up with the junk might have something to do with the drop outs? -

Mail doesn't sync properly with my university IMAP mail account after installing LION... worked great before with snow leopard.
when i try to configer the "incoming mail server" section, I fill everything out correctly and yet I get this message:
"can't verify the identity of imap.'myuniversityname'.ca"
there is some text explaining it after. If i press continue anyway, no new messages are transfered from my university server to mail on my mac.
I am running a 2010 13" macbookpro

Apple Address Book no longer sync'ing with iPhone
I'm running Leopard Server 10.5.1. Address Book sync with my iPhone is no longer working properly. iTunes is getting Address Book information from someplace other than Address Book. This is what I did to test this theory:
1. deleted all contacts in Address Book
2. deleted ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook
3. deleted ~/Library/Caches
4. deleted ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.AddressBook*.plist
5. in iSync, Reset Sync History
After the above, I logged out and logged back in; fired up iTunes, sync'ed and got a message saying if I continue the sync, there will be a greater than 5% change to the info on my iPhone - in the dialog box, it listed all the entries in my Address Book prior to me deleting them (oddly, all the contact names are there and all notes for contacts are there but the phone #s, email addresses, web pages, etc. are gone). I verified Address Book by opening it and none of the listed contacts are there, so, where is iTunes getting that data? Also, the Info tab in iTunes shows groups in the Contacts section that were all deleted.
Can someone offer a solution?OK, I know why this is happening now. This is what I'm seeing in the logs when I do a sync from iTunes:

The permission on these files and the directory they're in is read & write access to me and no access for everyone else. So what should the correct permissions be? I have full access to create and remove files so why am I getting permission errors?
