My internet is good but why my i pad is not able to connect to the app store ?
some reason it took so long to get update to ios 8, twice i had to rest the device since i was getting error all the time when i was trying to update from ipad itself, later i connected my ipad to i tunes on my desktop the it started updating and it took more than a hour.after updating my new ipad to ios 8 now its working slow in app store, it says not able to connect to the server , my net is working perfect though.

You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPhone a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the "i" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPhone (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.

As explained , I have also visited the auth. Service station in Bangalore, they were not able to resolve the iTunes access issue.

Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly.
It will take a while.

192 is local address within your network.
Unless the adddress is of a server that can reolve URL names to ip addresses you wont be able to load an external web page.
You can check what it should be by checking your router status page.
Or if you have an iOS device check under settings, W-Fi, select the network your attched to, then see what is next to DNS.

I have factory restored my 1pad 3 loaded ios8 - wifi works, safari works but it won't connect to the app store or iTunes citing 'not connected to internet' any ideas?
Reset the iPad and try again. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Let go of the buttons, let the iPad start up.

thanks for your posting, it just reflects my experience (although I didn't contact the helpdesk, but after what you wrote I think I can skip that part). I am livin in China and buy from the German MS, worked fine until about a week ago when the download of an album stopped just after 5 songs. I have never been able to connect to the shop ever since.
The interesting thing is, that I get a response from their server in the domain phobos.apple.com (phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/storeFront) which I would interpret that there can't be a problem which they always list (Antivirus, Firewall etc...)
So will there ever be somebody from Apple who is going to give a better explanation how to solve the problem ? Or are there already too many people buying iPods and music ??? -
My new iPad with Retina Display is not able to connect to the Wi-Fi of my new Time Capsule. It use to connect, but now it just spins and spins and never connects. I've tried rebooting everything many times.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I purchased Lion thru the app store and it was deducted from my account. I cannot download it. I can download other apps, but it seems like Lion is hung up or something. I restarted the iMac, have plenty of memory and space but when I hit download, it just says "waiting" then says cannot connect with the app store.

Any update will cause problems for a few users. And those users will rush here and post "the sky is falling" stories about their experience. The 99.99% of people who have no problems after an update won't bother to post here; indeed, most of them don't even know ASC exists. FWIW, I had no problems with iOS 7 on my 4S. Your problem is most likely not related to iOS 6, but you should probably update anyway. I have a new ipad and everything works but can't connect to the app store. Itunes works and the wifi seems to be working but i get a blank white screen when i open the appstore. Nothing will load unter the features or charts tab so i cant download any apps. Purchased and updates tab loads fine. Any suggestions?

My iPod touch 4th gen. Keeps giving me the error message "cannot connect to the app store when I sign in. I can open the app store and browse it but I can't download anything. I have full signal strength with my wi-fi and safari is working perfect. I turned it off and restarted it 3 times now. I have an iPad 2 and the app store works flawlessly with it. What is going on?
Same here on my lpad2. Can access the web just fine from browsers but cannot install new apps or updates in appl store. Seeing a few others reporting same issue tonight so likely an apple server issue and staff will notice it in network monitors and fix it...sometime this weekend.
