My iPad 16gb 3g keeps turning off?

Hey guys, basically... I'm abit of an apple geek anyway but my iPad 1st gen, 16gb 3g model keeps on randomly turning its self off, so I tried to restore it and now it's stuck and the USB to iTunes screen and still keeps turning it's self off. I have a MacBook Pro so it must of restored properly but just keeps doing the same thing :/ I have also tried holding the home and power button then releasing home-.- Doesn't work.
Can anybody help me or shall I just send it back?

Hello Blitzenjj,

  • Ipad 3, Numbers keeps turning off use Icloud option

All of the sudden I can no longer retreive documents in Numbers or Pages on my Ipad, they are still on my Iphone but the Ipad says no documents. I went to settings  and the use Icloud option was turned off (I never did that!) same with pages, so I turned them back on and tried to access documents and still not there, go back into settings and the use Icloud setting is turned off again. Every time it does the same thing. What is going on?

    Try This...
Close All Open Apps...  Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Also consider Deleting any Apps you have Purchased / Downloaded but you now never use..

  • IPad stores setting keeps turning off Books,Music and Aps

In Settings on my iPad, there is a link called 'Stores."  There you can turn ON Books, Music and Aps, so they will sync to your other devices.  When I turn mine to the ON position, they immediately turn themselves back off.  Any idea why?

You will have to define your Apple ID (in the field at the bottom of that page) before these can be turned on.

  • My ipad 2. Keeps turning off by itself

While using the ipad 2 , it periodically goes to a black screen , and the slide to unlock pops up?????

Completely shutting off and you have to restart it? Or is it crashing when launching apps?
Does the battery have a full charge and if it indicates that the battery is fully charged maybe there is a problem with the charger (assuming you use the power adapter and plug into a all socket - don't plug into your computer) and you could try another power adapter and/or the cable?
You can try resetting the iPad and closing all apps and restarting.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus (-) sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If the behavior continues, you may want to consider restoring the device.

My iPad is not charging when I pluged in and its keep turning off and on (it just shows the apple logo). I even changed the charger so what else can I do to start my iPad?

    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

  • My ipad 2 keeps turning off and on

So my little brother is playing with my ipad 2 and he keeps playing until the battery is drain to 5%, when I try to charge it, it turns off(or shut down), normally I think it is common 'cause of the drained battery, but when I charge it, the big battery logo with red lines(indicating that there's only few battery power left) showed up( I think it's charging) and without turning it back on, the apple logo showed up, and I think it turn on automatically, but when the moment it turn on, it keeps turning off again...This problem keeps repeating from the big battery logo and turning off again.
I dont know how this is happening, This is the first time this happened.
The only reason I'm thinking is, "does my ipad battery or my charger is slow in charging and when it charged a few percent of battery and turn on again it drains the charged battery again?" Any help is appreciated, And sorry for my bad english( english is not my mother language). Thanks in advance..

    Hi GreeD28,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
You explained the situation very well, and it sounds like you are seeing this image flash on the screen when charging your iPad:
If so, you may just need to let your iPad charge for longer before using it, as explained in this article:
iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1476
This image means that your device is charging.
It's important to note that if the battery is extremely low on power, your device may display a black screen for up to two minutes before one of these images appears. Continue charging for at least 30 minutes, or until your device is fully charged.
If you have charged your iPad and it still shows the screen above or turns off after the Apple logo appears, try these troubleshooting steps next:
If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
    Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge for up to 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue is persists, please contact Apple Support.
    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

  • Ipad keeps turning off and no sound

ipad keeps turning off apps and going back to main screen.  the volume is turned up but no sound

For the apps crashing try this ....Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

  • Since updating to ios6 my 4s keeps turning off.

Since updating to ios6 my 4s keeps turning off, has 5%  last time had 18% battery and says connect to power, comes straight on with 18% still!

    Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
