With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. I have been playing EA's Sims Freeplay for three days. Today the app will not open. It begins to, then goes black, then all the apps are there. FB is doing it now, too. Bookworm plays fine, as do other apps like ebooks and weather bug. I don't know much about what goes on with an IPad, so any help is appreciated.

Try closing all apps completely and then do a reset and see if that helps. To close all apps : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
To reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
Turning off iCloud and multitasking gestures on the iPad has also been suggested by some people.

1. Restart the computer and wait to see if the network is discovered before entering it manually.
2. Power off on the modem and router and restarted computer
3. If no network selected, do the diagnostics
4. Enter the SSID & PSWD
5. If asked for DHCP or PPo, chose DHCP
6. If asked for cable, say no bc u use wireless

Fan Control Apps/Utilities generally can only raise the speed of the fans and not lower them.
Disable, turn off or uninstall whatever Fan Control that you installed and reset the SMC.

Then if the iMac's fan is still running fast, you probably have a loose sensor cable or bad thermal sensor and the iMac needs to be taken into service

You cannot manually manage music with match turned on on your iOS device. If you want to manage music manually, you will need to turn off match on your iPhone.

it was not just email it was all internet via safari but all apps including the bank account app. the laptop and pc access the same email servers which work perfectly so it is difficult to blame the servers.
by the way it has now started to work properly at lasst after a whole day of trying to resolve this year.

Check the music tab on the iPhones iTunes page, and make sure "sync all music" is checked. If you chose only to sync certain music, new music will not automatically show up.

Sometimes OS updates just finally catch up with old application code, and what worked before no longer works.
Glad the update was able to fix your problem. When only a single application is malfunctioning, it's almost always the best use of time and energy to check with the app's developer to see if an update is available, particularly when you're running the initial release of the app.

Tried to quit on both the big window and the software update title in the menu bar. No luck.

Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue. It did not help. Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit". That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone. Thanks!

One thing, don;t think of them as being imported in any one particular order.
The order of the images is completely fluid, you can change it anytime you want to suit your needs at that particular moment.
As Léonie showed you select the order you want to see the images in by selecting the item you want to sort on in the pull-down.
The only time fluid sort order can be a problem is when you export groups of images. If you put the images into a particular order in Aperture when you export them and view them in the Finder the order they are in may very well be different. In this case you could give names to the images that include a sequence number or index.
Then when they are viewd in the Finder they will be in them same order they were in in Aperture.

Did you already try to reset the sync history?
If you find that some of your data syncs to your device but you see an unexpected number of changes or modifications, you may need to reset your sync history. This causes iTunes to prompt to Merge or Replace information on the device when you next attempt to sync your information. To reset your Sync History:
Open iTunes.
From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
Click the Devices tab.
Click the Reset Sync History button.
