My iPad 2 can't connect to my Wi-Fi network

Hi everybody,
A few months back, my sister got an iPad 2 as a birthday present.
It is currently running on iOS 6.1.2 and is not jailbroken.
No matter what I do, I can't get it to connect to my Wi-Fi network.
My Wi-Fi network is definitely fine as my MacBook Pro, iPad 3 and iPhone 4S all can connect to my Wi-Fi.
The problem is that when I open the settings app to configure my Wi-Fi, no options for selecting a network appear.
I tried manually configuring the network by tapping 'Other network' and typed in my network name and password.
Nothing worked.
I tried a clean install of iOS but also to no avail.
I am now updating it to the latest version of iOS (iOS 6.1.3) via iTunes on my Mac to see if it helps the issue.
Does anyone else have this problem?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app
    •    Tap on Wi-Fi
    •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

    Back up all data.
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
              8.8.8.8
              8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
    In Safari, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
and confirm. If you’re using another browser, empty the cache. Test. Any difference?
    Notes:
    1. If you lose Internet access after making the above change to your network settings, delete the Google servers in the  Network preference pane, then select the TCP/IP tab and click Renew DHCP Lease. That should restore the original DNS settings; otherwise restore them yourself. Remember that you must click Apply in order for any changes to take effect.
    2. I don't use Google DNS myself, though I have tested it, and I'm not recommending it or any other DNS provider; the server addresses are offered merely for testing purposes. There may be privacy and technical issues involved in using that service, which you should investigate personally before you decide whether to keep the settings. Other public DNS services exist.

Ipad can not connect to the pc flashes on the inscription of trust ...

You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

That would simply activate a broadband data service to use wherever Wi-Fi is not available. But those plans cost money. Wi-Fi is free in most cases.

My Ipad can't connect to WiFi.  I tried to reset and connect to the wifi network, it will divert me to the IOS page...could you please help? Thanks.

Try a soft reset or turn the device completely off then turn it back on again. Also you can toggle Airplane mode on for about 10 seconds and then turn it off. Sometimes that resets the radio signal inside the device.
A soft reset is basically holding onto the power button and the home button simultaneously together for about 10 seconds or until you see the screen flash and it should go completely black. Afterwards, tun the device back on like normally and see if that fixes the problem.

  • Can't connect to any secure WiFi network. Help...!

    Hello,
I am unable to connect to any secure wifi network. Using iPhone 5, Model : MD300B/A, Software : 6.1.4 (10B350). Whenever I try to connect to any secure wifi network, it says password incorrect. But it connects fine with unsecured networks. Double checked the same secure networks with my iPad and it works fine. Tried reseting the network settings and all settings. Updated to latest firmware (6.1.4). Still not working.
    Please help.

I have the same problem. I can't connect to any password protected networks. I type in the correct password, but I'm unable to login. Every time I introduce the WPA2 passwords I can´t connect. I can only connect to open wi fi networks? Does anyone know why? Thanks

Some users with various Wi-Fi connection problems have reported that they were given the following instructions by Apple Support, sometimes with success. I can't vouch for this procedure myself. After completing the procedure, you'll have to recreate all your settings in the Network preference pane. Make sure you know how to do that before you begin. Taking screenshots of the preference pane may be helpful.
    Step 1
    Back up all data.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "SystemConfiguration" selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C). In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    Step 2
    Reset the System Management Controller
