My ipad 2 disabled and i have a itunes passcode on it what do i do

my ipad is disabled and i when i connect to itunes it wont connect i did lock my ipad from icould but i dont know what else to do can some help me please

Connect in recovery mode and restore, you'll get the option to reset the passcode during this process:
iOS: Unable to update or restore and iPhone and iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

My phone is disabled and I have forgotten my passcode, need help unlocking my phone

If you set up Find My iPhone (iPad/iPod), then it has the Activation Lock on it and I believe you'll have to erase the device through iCloud first:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5818
    You can then restore it:

My ipad is locked and I have forgotton my passcode. I have never synced to itunes. Do I lose all purchases and photos? Many thanks

Removing Disabled erases the contents of the iPad. You can redownload your apps, but the pics will be gone. If you have important files on your iPad, you should always backup frequently.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
    1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
    2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
    3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
    4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
    5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
    6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
    7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
    8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

  • My ipad is disabled and says connect to itunes. I dont know the passcode and I dont have access to a computer , can I restore it without connecting to itunes

My ipad is disabled, I dont know the passcode and I dont have a computer to connect to itunes... is there anyway of reactivating ipad without connecting to itunes?

Sorry but no. You will need to get access to a computer with iTunes somewhere to restore the iPad. You can get help with this at an Apple Store if you have them in your area. Note that if you haven't backed up your iPad to iCloud, you'll lose all your data. Apps and other purchases from the iTunes Store can probably be re-downloaded.

  • What to do after Ipad is disabled and not recognize by Itunes. Can not follow any of the step to either syinc or restore.

I am unable to use my Ipad because I forgot the password. I tried many times. It is disabled. I connect to the computer and Itunes does not open it. It says that I have to use a passbcode to be able to enter Itunes. Completely disabled. I tried all the instructions offered on line. But nothing is working.
    Please, any advise? Thank you!

If your computer's iTunes is prompting you to enter the passcode on the iPad then try recovery mode, that should let you reset the iPad back to factory defaults - see half-way down this page : Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

iTunes will not connect until I type in the password, but it is disabled so I cannot.  No devices appear in the sidebar and when I go to devices under File it will not let me select any options like "restore." How do I get access to my iPad again?
