My ipad 2 has deleted all mail, and is completely blank, can't send or receive, and won't sync with computer?
The mail on my ipad2 is completely wiped out, totally blank, it won't sync with the computer, nor will it send and receive, everything else is running fine and syncing ok, can anyone help? The settings are all ok but just when you click on mail it comes up as a blank page......very bewildered, thanks.
Since writing this yesterday, I have found that other iPhone owners have had the same problem in my immediate area. AT&T claims there was a problem the same day with the local cell tower. Despite that, AT&T customer service phone reps keep telling me that I need a new phone. I don't believe one rep knows what the other is doing.
So as a word of advice, don't go out and buy a new phone until you are absolutely sure. My iPhone is working fine.

I tried to sync a new CD onto my iPhone, and it would not appear on my phone. When i clicked on the 'Music On My Device" tab on iTunes, the songs were in grey with a circle next to them.
I then tried to play a pre-existing song on my phone, but my if i click on a song, it gets wiped from my phone! (It is not totally deleted, but is written in grey with a circle next to it). So all of the songs on my phone have deleted themselves, and iTunes will not sync them back on.This does not affect Purchased songs.
I hoped that the iOS 8.1 update would have fixed this, but alas it has not. Please help!

(I have an old iPod touch which has iOS 6. something, and it is not affected by this problem- i have synced it fine)I work in an office that is behind several concrete walls and gets very poor signal. Everyday I will lose my cell signal and when going back outside I am unable to reconnect to network without either turning on/off airplane mode, or turning phone off and on.
Took phone to Apple store, along with video of problem, and was given a new phone. Problem still exists and was told to set up phone as new iphone. Again did this and problem still exists. When leaving office phone shows edge service and the bars litterally bounce from 1 - 5 and the "E" will turn into a circle like bullseye back to "E" and then just keeps doing this till reset.
Never an issue with 4 or 4s. About ready to say to heck with iphone and move to the dark side with an android Galaxy S3.
Also have had issue when entering elevators at hospital. THis can be a huge issue as I am a firefighter/emt and all calls come across our phones now.
Any ideas from anyone....apple has been less than helpful -

What's the proper protocol for a reset on my ipod touch 4g? iOS 6 has totally jacked it up and it will no longer do anything but crash, and won't sync with itunes wirelessly or by cable.
It's a 64G ipod touch and was fine till Apple told me to upgrade to ios 6. Now most of my apps crash, my music won't play and I just get a white screen when I hit Music.
When I try to sync to itunes it acts like it's going to sync and appears to recognize the ipod, but it's grayed out and has an update circle by it that spins for a while until itunes eventually freezes alltogether. New iPod Touch won't sync with computer - have latest version of iTunes and Snow Leopard (10.6.8). Computer won't even acknowledge the iPod. Have restarted both, changed ports, etc. What's do I need to do?

Bummer because now you can not back up. But you can put the device in recovery mode and have itunes restore it. Turn the device off while the device is off hold down the home button while holding the home button down connect the cable to the phone and keep holding home button until you see itunes logo and cable image on the on the phone. Itunes will say its discovered a device in recovery mode click ok and click restore.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

When you update apps, you will be asked for the password that belongs to whatever Apple ID purchased those apps. They will forever be linked to the Apple ID that they were purchased under, so regardless of where they are loaded, or what Apple ID is signed onto the device that they are loaded on, when you try to update, it is going to ask for the "owners" password.

My iphone 4 has mild water damage. As a result, it will not sync with it's former XP computer with the cable. I deleted the phone's data in the troubleshooting process. I want to get it back by syncing over wifi, but I did not set up this capability before the damage occured.is there another way to initiate this feature ? I can tell that they are connecting in the cloud because an app I just downloaded on the phone is showing up in itunes on the computer.
You don't need to access your e-mail account, just get into your Apple account and change the e-mail address. If you can't access your Apple account, then you have a bigger issue to contend with.

After BT Mail transferred from Yahoo I can't send or receive emails!
I haven't had my Mac long and just getting used to it having been a Windows user for years I got a request from Bt to transfer from Yahoo to their new Bt Mail email. Since then I haven't been able to send or receive emails. What went wrong?

My Photos application was left open last night to rebuild my library after I tried to delete 13 photos. I guess 13 really is an unlucky number, because when I tried to look at my photos this morning, all except one of my imported photos had disappeared and it had deleted over 2000 of the photos and videos on my Camera Roll. I lost memories and I need them back. Please help me restore these photos and videos. Please don't say that I should sync to my PC and right click and restore backup because the Apple backup function didn't work any of the occasions that I attempted to use it. So, please just help me get my memories back. I need help as soon as possible. This always happens to me.

How the heck do I get my iPad to take the new Id? I can't dowload anything or update anything. I thought when I changed it and my password last night that the iPad would be set up with the new info.
No, it does not change automatically. For starters, go to Settings> iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Sign out of the old ID and sign in with the changed ID. That will allow you to start downloading content and updating apps again.
You need to change the ID for all Apple Services that you use. Read this for more.

HELP! How do I find the back up folder? When I restore my phone, how can I access the folder to put all data back onto phone to retrieve photos etc? I was trying to update software when it crashed... now im shattred. How do you back up software? Is it automatic when syncing phones in itunes?
Let me get this straight. You have pictures on your phone that you can't afford to lose. They aren't backed up. Then, before you back them up by importing them to your computer for safe keeping, you decide to update the software?
On what planet would this be a sane thing to do?
No offense, but NEVER update any software, be it on your computer, phone or whatever, unless you're darned sure ALL your data is safely backed up.
If you have no backup of the the pictures you "can't afford to lose", then unfortunately, I think you just lost them. -

Is the message refering to a specific .msi file? If so, which particular .msi is it referring to? (iTunes.msi, bonjour.msi, AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi, etc.)
