My iPad 2 keep asking me to provide credit card information
iPad keep asking me to provide credit card information. What should I do. Is there anyway to turnoff this. But still I want the free application.
You must have your credit card information available in order to download free or purchased apps. Apple "verifies" this information everytime you download iTunes media.
On your computer, launch iTunes. From the menu bar click Store / View My Account / Edit Payment Information.
Restart your iPad. Try downloading an app.

I'm not sure how this "none" option works in other countries, but it is accessible in the U.S. So I assume that you are not in the U.S. You can create another Apple ID for the child to use
The minimum age for an Apple ID needed to create an iTunes account is 13. You will have to set this up using your information (your birthday, address, etc.) and you will need another email address. You can create a free email account using AOL, Hotmail, Yahoo, or Gmail as well.

Use this Apple ID only for the kids account. Purchases cannot be transferred from one Apple ID to another one. -

The message you received indicates that the phone is locked to a carrier other than the one for which you have a SIM. You'll need to take the issue up with Apple. Nothing you do with iTunes is going to make a difference.
I'm quite surprised that the UK Apple Store replaced a U.S. purchased phone. They usually won't.

Want to create Apple ID for both my children's IPad's. Tried creating new email account for my son and it will not let me. I want them to be only able to purchase from redeemed gift cards and everytime it asks me to update credit card info on their Ipad.
Look, I understand I still need a card attached to the account. The problem is, it won't accept my card because I only have 87 cents in my bank account right now.
If I had known there would be so much trouble with the iTunes card, I would have just put the cash in my bank account in the morning instead of buying an iTunes card (I didn't expect the banks to be open on Thanksgiving of course).
Apple will only accept cards that have a balance. The balance is so small in my account that it won't accept it as a valid card.
I'm going to have to contact Apple anyway to reset the security questions. That's obvious. Your answers were not exactly helpful. You didn't tell me anything I don't already know, but thanks for trying to be helpful. -
I have tried everything, even erasing content on my iPad but I am still being asked to submit credit card information for free apps. I am also being asked the same thing to update apps which I already have. Someone please help!!!!

To expound just a little bit more on what Ralph is saying ...if you do not set up your Apple ID in a very specific way from the start, Yoy have to enter credit card details even if you are downloading free apps. Your account details are now incompletely with the credit card, even though you don't want to use a credit card.
This explains exactly how you have to set up an Apple ID if you do not want to use a credit card. If you did not set up the account this way, you are now forced to enter the credit card - if you want to use this ID.

I'm having problem with my itune and App Store on my iPad, I can't update or purchase and app unless I enter my credit information. But when I did I keep me telling me to contact iTunes support. So I tried other credit card is happen the same thing, so without entering card I won't to able to download or update any app. I'm really confuse please advice on this. Thanks.

Apple TV keeps asking my for my 3digit Credit Card verification code and I punch it in, it still asks me for it, and went to my computer on iTunes store, checked the code, all is set and saved, go back to Apple TV still can't rent a movie, I still get the same Verification Required message without any further information after I punch in my 3digits. When I hit submit, the page goes back to the same place to type the code again, and yes the code is 100% accurate. I tried restoring the apple tv, every thing is up to date on all devices and signed in and out of my itunes store on my Mac, still no luck. Please help!

I have spent over 6 hours on this issue trying to isolate if it is a hardware, software, network, iTunes account, or Apple device issue. My initial results indicate it is a software specific issue related to the Apply TV hardware device. -

I keep getting a message about my security code not being accurate. I tried 3 different cards & have the same issue. Is this a systems issue? I need to get my apps installed on my new iPhone 4. If you have a payment source associated with your Apple ID, it needs to be a vaild form of payment. To troubleshoot issues with your payment type being declined, please follow the steps below.
In most cases, this issue is caused by a formatting error in the billing address that you have provided. You can correct the issue by verifying that the information you have provided is correct, or by changing the format of your address to match the format that your credit card company has on file.
You can verify and/or modify your billing address by following these instructions:
Open iTunes. If you are signed in to iTunes, skip to step 4.
Note: Verify that you are signed in to the correct iTunes account. If you are unsure which account you're signed into, choose Store > Sign Out and proceed to step 2.
Choose Store > Sign In.
Enter your account name and password, then click the Sign In button.
Choose Store > View My Account.
Click the Edit Payment Information button.
In the Payment Method section, choose None.
Click the Done button at the bottom of the page.
Click the Edit Payment Information button again.
Enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement.
Select your credit card type in the Payment Method section.
Enter your credit card information, your card's security code, and the expiration date.
Click the Done button at the bottom of the page.
