My ipad 2 keep restarting everytime i use it

My iPad 2 keeps restarting with the apple logo. Then when i get to the lock screen, it restarts again and again.

Hello there, Timmy1998.
The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps for troubleshooting issues when iOS is not functioning as expected. When performing Step 1, I would recommend closing all apps:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3281
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected,  restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),  reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Pedro.

  • My iPad mini keeps restarting randomly all the time

My iPad mini keeps restarting randomly all the time, I already restored it to manufacturer settings, help! This started about a week ago, and I can't take it to Apple because I got this Christmas 2012. I already reset it all, and it still keeps restarting.

I had the same problem.  I ended up restoring to the factory settings using the method:
    1. connect usb to computer
    2. hold down home button and connect cord to ipad...continue holding down home key until connect to itunes appears on screen, then release
    3. restore to factory settings
I lost all my pictures and data, but the ipad works again. Such a pain! Not happy about this at all!

  • TS3367 ipad mini keep restarting during facetime..please advise..

I'm having problem with my Ipad mini. During my conversation, the Ipad mini keep restart again and again.Could somebody advise if anything can be done on this problem.

FaceTime is not  available on devices purchased or used in certain countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This is by government decree. The FaceTime app can't be downloaded or installed on these iPads.

  • IPad 2 keeps restarting nonstop

My iPad 2 keeps restarting nonstop. It has been doing it for 12 hours now. I have tried the hold the two buttons down thing. I have tried plugging it in to my computer but it keeps restarting in iTunes and doesn't let me access the device. I have tried the holding the home button and plugging it in. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do or if I should call it a lose and head over to the apple store today.

Can you power it down by pressing and holding the power button?
If you can do that, then plug the usb cord that came with the device into the usb port on your pc. (leave other end not connected).
    Open itunes, update itunes
Press and hold down home button on ipad while at the same time connect usb cord. Do not let go of home button until you see a message pop up in itunes window: "itunes has detected an ipad in recovery mode......"
You should now be able to restore (all data will be lost)
You may have to do this a few time to get it into recovery mode.

  • IPad mini keeps restarting

My ipad mini keeps restarting ever since I've installed the new update. Does anyone have any simple ideas to make this incredibly annoying problem stop?

    Try a device reset:
    Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
    1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
    2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
    3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.

  • My ipad 4th gen 32gb keeps crashing everytime i use a app that deals with a map?

I updated my ipad 4th gen 32gb to iOS 7 and since then anytime i use a app that deals with a map it crashes for instance find my iphone, find my friends and the built in map app on the ipad. I restored the ipad when it first started happening and its still doing it. I do the soft reset and it seems to do not a thing to help out the matter. The first time it happened i was using my built in map app and the ipad started crashing and wouldnt stop, it went on for like 3 hours kept turning on and turning right back off when it turned back on and it would do that for the whole 3 hours it probably crashed and turned back on 200 times. I had to do a command reset using itunes on my macbook pro to get it to stop doing it and ive not used the map app since because of it. So recently ive used find my friends and find my iphone and it would crash my ipad once and when it came back on it wouldnt crash again so i would just go and kill the app that caused it to crash.

I restored my ipad as a new ipad deleted all the backups for the ipad from my itunes and then set it up as new and put all my photos and music and apps back the way they was and i havent really messed with the apps with maps in it but the crashing is still happening and its happening inside the settings app id love if someone could help me out its starting to get pretty annoying. Thanks.

  • Ipad 2 keeps restarting

Ipad 2 restarting when connected to charger, when not connected it´s dead.
It dies before i can reset it, every time it restarts it´s "on" less time.
I managed to delete and reset all settings and files but dies before I can configure.
When i connect it to the computer to use iTunes it´s dead.
I really dont understand how this happened, I haven´t upgraded any software or apps recently.
It has always had good batterytime, I use it daily and charge it every other day.
I tried to hold the "homebutton" and after a minute "connect to iTunes" appear but this only
works with the charger connected, when i transfer the usbcable from the charger to the computer it dies insantaniously.
    What´s the problem?

    Hello Lily,
It sounds like your iPad will only turn on when connected to your charger.  I would be concerned about this too.
I found some steps you can take to address an issue like this.  The steps reference an iPhone, but the same steps will apply to an iPad experiencing the same issue (you can skip any steps that you cannot perform or have already taken):
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.

  • Why does my ipad mini keep restarting itself?

I bought an ipad mini in Feb, 2013 and until 2 weeks ago it has been working like a charm. Now my ipad mini  restarts on its own without my consent. I have witnessed it restart when i have been reading books from ibooks, when opening programs, when listening to music and a few times when it hasn't been in use just sitting on the bench in screen saver mode. Yesterday i plugged the mini into my laptop and determined that i am currently using the most up to date software and that ensured i had saved a back up on the icoud and my computer. Finally i went trhough itunes to restore my ipad to is factory settings. This was completed this morning without a glitch only to find some 10 hours later my ipad is continueing to restart without any warning. Help!!

    Hi there,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the article below.
