Ok. Do other things work on your home internet?
Generally, you go into settings, wifi and you should see the name of your home network. Tap on that and you should be prompted to enter the password you set up on your network (presuming it's password protected).
If it just stopped working, you can always try to power cycle the router....as in unplug the router's power. Count to ten, plug it back in and let it reboot.

That's right, wifi is free around the whole world (except if you have to pay to access a protected network). It doesn't matter whether you're with ATT or Verizon. Beaware to turn off Cellular and Data Roaming as it is very costly if you don't have an int'l plan. I think the cheapest ATT int'l plan at this moment is $25 for 50MB.
Also, you can text anywhere in the world for 50 cents with cellular and data roaming off. At this rate, you're not going to be popping 50 text messages back and forth, but for a few, I find it to be very reasonable. At 2 cents a minute, that's 500 minutes. While I think I set my Skype account up from Europe, I think it might be easier to do it here. Skype works great on both my iPad and my IP.

Hi, I was using my Ipad one day on the inrternet and it stopped connecting. It hasn't connected yet. I have wiped it reset it and all of the above but it still won't connect.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

My ipad won't connect to the internet.

We recently had a strong storm move through, and my husband uplugged routers and modems. In my haste to reconnect, I didn't realize he had done that, and I reset some things on my router, and now my ipad wont connect to the internet. On my ipad, the wifi is on, it recognizes my router names, ans shows that it there is a strong signal, but at the top left where it says ipad, there is no wifi symbol or indication that it is looking. The activity spinner does spin where it says choose a network, and my main router setting is checked. Help!

I have has a similar problem, which I have now solved. I had tried rebooting the iPad, and also rebooting the router - either or both of which are worth trying fir- but did not help this time.
But then I went to settings/wifi/my network name/ and then tapped on that to bring up the page with the settings details. I chose static, as the tab, and re-entered the IP address and other details - it was easy for me, as I have another iPad in the house, and I could copy the settings from that. The only difference is that the IP address is different for each wireless device on the network, just in the last digit. Thus my router is.....1 , my AppleMac is....2, the TV is ...3, and so on. One iPad is ...6 and the other is ...8. You can get these details if you have another PC or whatever and you get an App. called Fing - it is free I think, and at one click it will show you every wireless device and the numbers allotted - even the names they have been given ( Joyces iPad, Horace's iPad etc etc...). The other details in wifi settings are the router address, which you can get from the Fing app too, and alspo a couple of other tech details which I believe will be the same for every device on your network.
Btw, when I had done all this and saw that my internet connection was working again, I found that I had lost my mail connection , so I had to reset that too - but that only added a couple of minutes.

Sounds like your "internet box" (router) has a weak antenna, or a weak signal setting. You will have to figure out if your router has a power setting to boost its signal. Look in the manual for it.
Or get a better router with better signal. There's nothing from the iPad side that can be done to increase the signal though.
You might also want to try positioning the router in other locations, there may be something near it that may be interfering with the signal.

Have you tried to reboot your router? Unplug it, count to 30, plug it back in and let it reboot. Also you may want to go into your settings on your iPad and 'reset network settings'.
In case the update messed something up, letting the devices reboot sometimes helps.

Her's what I did---- Go to WiFi where connection name appears .
Open connection to see info.
Go down to where it says http proxy and turn that off.
go to main screen and connect to internet as usual.

I have put the mac address into the AE. The installation screen on my TV is picking up the network name but once appied it won't connect to the internet.
I've a few other things connected to the AE such as computers, ipad, itouch, etc, and have never had a problem connecting these once I've entered the mac address into the AE. Can anyone help me with this please?

have you made sure that the network setting in the system preferences is set up to use dhcp? if not i would try changing it so that it shows that it is getting its address by dhcp

My iPad won't connect to the iTunes store, I've never had any problems before. Also I have the sling box app and it isn't working either. It now says remote streaming is not enabled on this device and I have used sling box in the past with out any problems. Any help would be appreciated.

Usually it's because you are not making internet connection via wifi.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
